That papay held is salute for the whole parade. Side note: Why is there a high voltage tower in the middle of the city?

That is a real soldier. That is the right thing to do. When ever you see a moving element, you assume the position of attention and render a salute until the element passes. You call that respect.

is that your first time seeing a high voltage power tower in the middle of a city? I live in the USA and I see it all over the place!

Negative. You render and hold a salute within six paces of the colors or the CO. But I guess it doesn't really matter since he's a civilian. He can hold it all day if he wants.
