Yes Sonny that is correct! Jason feels he cannot be a father because of his job and loyalty to you because of your and Carly's selfishness! Liason aren't together not because she couldn't handle the life but Because she would've taken him away from Sonny, Carly and the life! She is the only one that could have gotten him to leave the mob! Everyone Jason has been with has had a connection to Sonny in some way and gained approval from Sonny/Carly because they didn't interfere in their agenda or the mob! Robin-Sonny's little sister Courtney-Sonny's real sister Sam-Sonny's mistress mother of his child Elizabeth-His dream, safe place, his soul mate and best friend! He did try to leave the mob in 1998 (for Robin after she almost got blown up in the car) and he opened the motorcycle shop and hired Lucky, but less than a year later Robin left b/c of the AJ reveal and he went back to Sonny and Lucky "died"

I loved that song and liz,jason the emotions,face experience that jason seeing liz,jake with love and more it was cute,sweet to see

I wish Jason would've said yes to Sonny's question about not being able to claim his family (Jake and Liz) because of him. That is EXACTLY what one of the main issues was. The thing with Jason, especially during this time, was that everyone counted on him for everything. Carly, Sonny, Sam, etc. They all thought of Jason as the invincible go to guy who could solve all their problems and be there for them 24/7. And he was constantly pulled in different directions due to his loyalties. By so many people. The thing with Liz and Jake, And more to the point, his feelings about Liz, & Jake, is that now that he had started to make a family of his own, he wanted to throw all those loyalties and responsibilities to those he cared about and loved, and throw them out the window when it came to Liz and Jake. He would think about his family he wanted to create with them and that's all he could think about. It's all that really mattered to him at the end of the day. And for Jason, that was both dangerous, and not very possible due to his responsibilities and loyalties to everyone else. He was so used to putting everything and everyone first, especially Sonny, the business, Carly, Sam, etc. But once he had a son of his own and thought he could finally have something with Liz, all he could think about was putting them first. He automatically made them his first priority. And people were starting to notice, even Jason was aware that he knew he'd want to put them first. Hence the "I'd be worried about them all day long" part. And he knew he couldn't be thinking about them all day long and still be there for everything else and what they needed from him. He was torn between his love for his family (Liz, Jake, Cam) and his duty and obligations. Jason is great at being there for everything and everyone else, and being a family man for other people, but, he knows that he can never be a true family man himself with his own family he chooses to make because he knows he can't truly choose between the family he makes, vs the family/business he already has. He was already starting to chose the family he started creating with Liz and Jake, but, everytime he chose them in some way, there was always backlash or a situation in which made Jason see/think putting them first was a mistake, because it was interfering with his "other family" too much.

What jason said to Sonny is correct. He protects Sonny and his kids so he can't do that for his own.

@@angelamorales2118 exactly. That’s what Carly’s issue was with Liz saying she did it because of the danger. It wasn’t because of the danger. What’s even sadder is Jake died, so Jason just missed all of that time with his son, for no reason.

This storyline really soured me against Carly and Sam to this day🙄

The saddest thing about that scene isn't Jason looking longingly through the window just wishing he could open the door and make that his reality instead of just a dream. What's truly sad is that it was all for nothing. In the end in typical Soap Opera fashion Jake "dies" anyways proving their sacrifice was in vein. Wasted time, wasted opportunity.

Sonny, "So you telling me that you can't claim your family because of me.?" They writers should have let Jason answer yes, cause Carly and Sonny can't let Jason have a normal life. Carly here is different from the Carly on the show today. Carly today had nothing to do with Jason's kids. Her kids still come first. Thats one of the ways I don't like about Jason. When will he get to have his happy family to. Of course I want him with Liz.

This clip rings true that Danny wasn't the only child of Jason's to spot a connection. Jake wasn't just looking outside; he was looking at his daddy when Jason came quietly and looked in the window at him. That's love! Carly, shut your mouth! I remember watching these clips and wanted to throw something at the TV because of Carly.

Around this time Carly thought no woman was good enough for Jason. It is kind of creepy how she loves him like a friend, like a sister and a woman who is in love with him the same time.

he s the closest to the correct age. He was born in 2004 in 2008, he was still 4. They aged him by about at year in his teens. He is supposed to be older than Spencer and Jake should be older than Joss

No Elizabeth is sad upset that she has Jason's son and he didn't give up the mob, being Carly's best friend and protector, and right hand man to Sonny all to come play house with her. Carly is crazy and possessive where Jason is concerned. However, she is right on when it comes to Elizabeth. She can read her like a book. She is needy and always has to have a man. If her relationship with Jason is as good as she thinks, why didn't she tell Lucky the truth and didn't want Jason to tell Sam. Jason is not innocent in all of this because Sonny is correct, he did not use to lie until he found out about the baby and Elizabeth persuaded him to keep the secret. His life is a total mess compared to working for Sonny. People, lets stop lying because the consequences far out way what can really happen.

Jana Elizabeth and Jason both agreed that it was best for Jake to be raised by lucky. Even when they were talking, she asked Jason if he was sure it was what he wanted and at any moment, Jason could've said no, but he agreed so it's not just Elizabeth who kept the secret. Jason and Elizabeth mutually agreed. So Carly isn't right The only thing that was right was when Sunny said that Elizabeth should have told Jason from the beginning because secrets have a way of coming out. And Carly is no one to talk; Elizabeth is needy and possessive? Carly does whatever she can to get a man to. Sam does the same thing. Everywhere we want to go this route, we could say that goes to pretty much half the women in Port Charles.
