i noticed gelo passes it as soon as a defender gets close to him. i think he doesnt have confidence in his handles/ball control which is wierd that he is playing the 1 guard. he always passes it soon as he gets the inbound instead of bringing it half court. its just odd that its an EVERY possession thing

So after watching this I can get a understanding as to why nba teams aren’t really interested in gelo, his handles aren’t really likes that, his speed isn’t really there either he runs like a 7 footer and just his overall playing skill just doesn’t give it that I want it bad attitude.

Whoever told Gelo that's how you be a point Guard need to get slapped. I have a feeling that when they are practicing, he's performing well, but when he's playing against teams that aren't his own teammates, he chokes. Notice how he's always looking to get the ball out of his hands either at half court or when he reaches the three. He's never driving it, he never seems to analyze who's guarding who to see if his teammate can take them, he never tries to get the defenders away from certain teammates and then passes them the ball. He just, in my eyes, throws the ball away. Then the person he passes it to, passes it to another teammate because the first person he passes it to is locked up. He also doesn't wait for his teammates to create any plays for him to pass the ball. I rewatched a bunch of lonzo vids while on the bulls a couple days ago. He has this one play with Levine where levine shoots out of the corner and Lonzo passes him the ball for the easy 2 points. Usually you'll see the point guard either creating the plays or waiting for the teammate to run the play or they will know who's guarding who and will now that their teammate can take them. Gelo just isn't doing that. He's too busy with full court passes and trying to shoot 3s all day and not making it. Hell even Melo would do that shit. Run up to the rim like he about to lay it up, which he knows will remove defenders from his teammates, he knows he can't take those defenders as they are bigger and stronger, and he passes the ball all fancy like to the person standing on the perimeter. He has two point guards that are brothers in the league and he hasn't picked up on this yet. And zo's 3 point shooting may be rivaling Gelo's in a bit as it was going up every season. Man I want to see him win, but it's just not looking good with every game in my eyes. I think he needs to be removed from the PG position. AJ is always seeming to get him out of the errors that he makes and I wouldn't be surprised if AJ gets picked up instead of Gelo. Wish him all the best. *For all the newly found NBA sports analysts that will comment under my comment, just know this is my opinion and not fact. We can have a civil convo. @@EM-cj7tu Exactly, he didn’t look impressive this game. Hesi looked more impressive than gelo offensively and DEFENSIVELY, that shouldn’t even be the case, hesi usually plays no defense. You would think someone like gelo would dominate both ends of the floor.

It's only 460 spots in the nba. There are over 300 division 1 basketball programs which means there is at least 300 players that are the man on there team. Let's not forget oversea leagues, Players that's in the g league. Every nice player in the world isn't in the league because it's only 460 spots. Certain players get in position to be on a team because there agent has a relationship with the front office, or a old assistant got a job on another team and wants to bring an old player to his team. It's alot of behind the scenes stuff that you clearly don't know about.
