Wow. Worldbuilding! I've just looked at Liam Youngs website and would live to view some of his other films.
Saw the short version of the Great Endeavor in Venice at the Bienalle. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
I saw (part of) the Great Endeavour in an exhibit called "Power" in CIVA (Brussels) a few months ago. Gave me slight megalophobia.. Really cool though.
Speculative fiction grounded in reality. Instead of the typical binary depictions of utopian and dystopian futures, Liam designs more accurate and achievable adaptations. My question is, where do we start? These experiences are great catalysts for contemplation and conversation, but what about designing a road-map for people to prefiguratively engage with these issues so that we can start to manifest then now.
