He had two spells as manager of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Manager. He had a short few years as a hurler for Tipperary. He was also a TV pundit for RTE's The Sunday Game which covers GAA championship games for both hurling and gaelic football.
He was speaking in Support of Martin Stapleton who was launching his election campaign to become President of IFA (Irish Farmers Association.
