@@HowIsThat69 10-8 missed a down the line unforced, 10-9 edge ball, 10-10 misses flick, 10-11 misses flick. Pitchford is always rushing at the end of a set

Liam gives away too many points, keeping himself under pressure unnecessarily. 7 or 8 missed backhands from the forehand court are again, unnecessary. Re watch this match as a good example and count how many points he outright wins, and how many he loses trying to win the the point. He’s got a level up left in him yet, the technique is undeniable it’s the tactics that let him down. He should have won that match.

@@miketurner3964 i disagree. Many of his missed backhands aint unforced errors. On that level you cant play soft shots. They Will be punished. So he goes stonehard for the points without compromise. Thats his style. Thats what taken him high on wr. I dont think he Will rise much more on the wr. He is to inconsistant. He should not have won the game, he could have, there is a difference 😀

Can be so frustrating to play against a player like Darko, he does not seem to have the winners, rather waits patiently for the opponent to commit the mistake

Which is the point! Rewatch the match and count the numbers of liams’ outright winners as opposed to the points he loses trying to win the point. Keep the ball on the table 1 shot longer, 10 kph faster than the other player can cope with. Let them make the mistake. If the rally goes open in your favour so be it, but remember it was consistency that got you to that point.
