Giving Perez a new contract was a horrendously poor decision for the success of Red Bull. Dietrich's passing has definitely significantly changed Red Bull and it's priorities, and not for the better. I might be placing my support elsewhere. This new soft and mushy RB isnt for me.

Having two teams should be against the rules. If Andretti can’t race, RB shouldn’t have a “sister team” period.

RedBull does what ever they want, look at main team, in the history of the sport no team has ever had the main strategy engineer be the same as the racing engineer for one of the divers, talk about conflict of interest right there, damon hill just talk about it, how unfair is for Perez to have a bad racing engineer and on top of it, no one is correcting him.

Cadillac are doing a great job in WEC. This is improving the brand's image which is seriously tarnished by rubbish like the Escalade. Perhaps they will start making some interesting road cars now? I cannot see how Andretti Jr will bring anything to F1. He made a complete fool of himself 30 years ago.

As a proud kiwi, I can’t wait to see Lawson in F1 but hopefully, not at the expense of DR. He has provided me with many hours of joy over the years and F1 is better with him in it! The problem for Lawson is that there is no big money in NZ, there is no F1 there…securing serious sponsorship has always been an issue for kiwi drivers. You need to bring big money with you to get in. Once you have the seat, you then need to show you have talent in order to keep that money flowing! I’m sure Lawson is fast and likeable and I really hope he gets the opportunity to show us.

Ricciardo is done, IF he does not outperform Yuki the whole rest of the season! RB will - and should - put Lawson in the 2nd Racing Bull, Ricci maybe can have a small chance to go to Haas or - more likely - Alpine, but I would not bet on it. But he would have to hurry and take a big cut on his sallary to get a seat at all!

I prefer to see the younger rookie who would presumably get better in the seat over time, versus Daniel who seems to only get worse, with brief moments of success. The term “washed up” may be too harsh, but it’s time to pass the torch and give Liam a shot in the seat. I’m not saying Daniel doesn’t deserve a place in F1 at all, but he shouldn’t be taking up a RB seat. Send him to Williams or something where he’d be a huge upgrade over Sargeant.

DR brings $30 million but will on present form cost the team $20-$40 million income. At least. Every position drop in the constructors costs them $20 million. With DR being down on points he may cost VCARB more than he brings in.

F1 is pushing the worlds best talent away due to stupidity and money... The classic "you're only as good as your last race" is completely obsolete

DR shouldn’t have a drive anywhere after how poor he was at McLaren. People always say aww he did well in Canada, they’re the enablers that think he still has it. Side note - what is the point of the Redbull Juniors program if you aren’t going to use them. Liam made DR look silly last year and was slightly better that Yuki, with less seat time then both the drivers.

You can't judge Ricciardo on his McLaren results, that car was absolute crap, the team was toxic and his engineer was a clown, who convinced Ricciardo to change his driving style to suit his sub-standard car. Notice how much McLaren have improved now that they have got rid of James Key?

Lawson to Indycar pls

Everyone bashing DR in the comments when Perez is the one scoring equal points to both VCARB drivers over the last 3 races, while max won 2 of those races. The only driver that shouldn’t have a seat in F1 is lance stroll! But when it comes to RB it is Perez

Yuki has not shown enough consistency when in point scoring positions .

Honestly Yuki shouldn't be at either Red Bull or RB. there's no future there for him he isn't getting promoted and the only reason Horner doesn't want him, its Helmet wants him and his Honda backing. that's gone next year and hopefully He goes with Honda to the green team. Danny Ric will keep the seat at least until the summer break to see if he can gain some consistency and the results they expect from him. Liam certainly deserves a seat somewhere.

Lawson, not F1 experience, jumped in the car and wiped the floor with him. Lawson performed. No excuses. No I need time. Or a new floor, or another car. Or the car made to me. @@desshinnick9365 Liam made both Daniel and Yuki look ordinary in my mind. I honesty thought it would have been Daniel and Liam this season. While yuki has for sure improved this season a lot of that improvement seems to have come thru the development of the car and Daniel's influence on him overall. Even Yuki has stated this as well as the team principle. Liam for sure should be in an F1 car. Should Daniel well he brings a lot in dollars and PR to any team as well as experience and assistance in development. If he can find whatever we are only seeing glimpses of over the coming races I'd say he'll keep his seat. If he doesn't find the consistency I think Daniel will step away from the seat he wont need to be pushed.

Anything could happen in F1, and it usually does. As a reserve driver in a top team, you get the chance to familiarize yourself with the kit. If he was going in for a full-time drive in 2025, talks would be starting already. Unless one of pieces is strategically withholding information for bargaining advantages deeper into the silly season.

In my perfect world we would either see a team of Lawson/Alonso or Lawson/Norris even just for a little while

Williams is a horrid place to prove your skill, just so happens their seats are always available.

Sad for Lawson if he was promised something. But it´s also good that Red Bull change their tactics and strategies regarding drivers. the last 5 to 7 years they have been to fast to replace drivers. Slowing down that bit will be good for both Red Bull teams imo. But sucks for Lawson, but i think Lawson can find a seat somewhere else in F1.

Yeah but a driver like Ricardo has been in there for years and his career and form have stagnated. He’s only got a few sorry years in a midfield team left. Red Bull need to find their next star driver after max. So it’s time for that seat to change hands

RB should promote Masi.

The problem is that Red Bull and RB are not suitable for young developing drivers. Lawson would benefit from working with a team that is vying to develop a car with him, and not with RB who would be using the partnership as an audition for Red Bull. Ricciardo will stay with RB due to the realities of being a Formula 1 team. You need to have financial support from sponsors if you expect to survive and RB can no longer rely on scraps from Red Bull to develop their car.

I think they'll keep Danny Ric, and Lawson will either race a different series or hopefully move to another team. If I were Toto id pick up Lawson to spite Horner & give him 2 years in the car until Antonelli is ready. Who knows - Lawson could become a serious thorn in the side of Red Bull racing for the Silver Arrows. Either way they steal a promising youngster from RB and give them some time to blood Antonelli.

Red Bull has 2 teams in F1 and has had for years. How is that possibly a fair situation? They need to make room for an independent new team.

I dont see Williams getting a rookie driver anytime soon. They need points ASAP and consistently. They only used rookies for financing before the cost cap and Dorilton take over.

the only way of RB winning this championship is to somehow pull off a 2010 Adrian Newey and develop the car further, or fire Perez. These young drivers just need to be patient. He’s only 22 and there has been zero news about Daniel being extended past this year. His performance says he is not co ing back. I'd love to see him going to williams.

Just put Lawson in Aston Martin (Get rid of Stroll), Kimi should go to Williams (to big of a risk going to Mercedes as a roockie), Sainz (BEST TEAM PLAYER IN F1 BY FAR) should be in Mercedes, and Hass should maintain K-Mag along Bearman. The rest of the grid will be the same as planned. Just my opinion for 2025

RBR is insane for keeping Tardo.

Huge fumble re-signing Perez IMO. I loved him before Miami last year, but since then it's been embarrassing seeing him at a top team. Put Danny in for one year, if he performs bad, it was his thank you and final hurrah and then seat Yuki or Lawson in the RB for 2026. If he performs well, Lawson gets more time to develop without the RB pressure.

Let him drive RB. They never keep second drivers anyway.

Nope! Red Bull have revealed Lawson will get a seat in 2025, but seems so far not to be the case. (They said this late 2023 somewhere)

I don't understand Alpha Tauri. Liam has shown he's a great driver with lots of skill and big potential to grow. Yet they still keep him benched. Why? Because he's not as charismatic? He messes up the diversity quota? Such a shame.

Driving in F1 isn't a right reserved to the best drivers. If it was, Stroll wouldn't have a seat. Neither would Tsunoda, Ricciardo, nor Zhou. And if Lawson thinks he deserves a seat, I would think Ollie Bearman should get one first. But F1 isn't a right. It's a privilege. If you think you deserve a seat, what are you bringing to the table?

Perez is imploding again and DR has to get closer to Yuki. I think Sergio isn't gonna make it to 2025 if he doesn't bounce back and nail the rest of the season.

Inmage sining Perez at the top team. So excellence isn't the main thing at that team anymore. Verstappen sees that and all the other garbage. of last year so he will switch teams. Then you had a great replacement for Perez in Yuki ready bit didn't upgrade him. Then yuki knows he will never be part of the top team so he goes where Honda goes so you loose him too. Then you kept a fast declining Ricciardo because of sponsor money and car development. So Lawson gets signed elsewhere. Then you have no future because your star in its prime left. A experienced but young enough potential nr2 left to Honda and a big talent left so there is nothing to build on. Red Bull is driving of a cliff fast and could collapse in 1,5 years. That al because some failing old Mexican watching all other cars in front of him needs a good car for some reason.

More correctly, F1 is a business. As the video correctly identifies being the fastest is not the only factor at play. Despite inconsistency Ric is still a far more valuable driver than Lawson, or half of the other drivers in play. That’s why he is still in. His popularity and marketability is obviously a factor but it’s not the only factor, he’s also an extremely good driver. Easily a better driver than many on the grid currently.
