so sad she really seems out of it, yes of course happiness comes in all shapes and forms, but what she showing seems like false happiness that type of happiness you get from drugs.

That's what the commentator meant at the top; Lia wasn't posting all the time, so whenever she did, people would be wondering, worried, or even scared for Lia and wondering where she was when she wasn't. She always went live when she was high, incoherent, and slurring her words.

Channy Whocares I agree with this! Both my parents suffer from substance abuse and what do you know, it’s part of my dna! I smoked weed for over ten years basically all day and eventually was able to quit and felt great, a lot of life happened and I lost someone that mattered most to me, and here I am in the same situation. It’s really hard.

If religion makes them feel better and they're not using it to hurt people, that's none of your business. It becomes your business only if someone is using prayer to pretend they're not being complacent or if they're spreading hatred.

This has been out for such an incredibly long time, and it gets me Every. Single. Time. The fears she expresses are something a lot of people feel, I think, and this song puts so many things in words, that I feel, its almost terrifying. I hope and pray that she will be okay. She wasn't "showing off her luck". She just saying that she doesn't know the pain and she's glad that she doesn't, and she's very sorry to those who do know the pain and what it's like. That's not "Showing off her luck", that's being a good person. I was mentally abused by my dad, yeah it might not have left and physical marks on me but him constantly shouting at you in your face, saying that you're nothing and saying that you were a mistake can fuck with you for the rest of your life. I relate to this song because I am _terrified_ of me doing the same thing in the future to my own kids, and I hope that I never do. I in no way shape or form think that Charmagne was "showing off her luck" when she was just apologizing to the people like you, and the people like me, for the suffering we've gone through.

it may be that im just projecting my own experiences and feelings into this song, but in my opinion this song came from someone who lived through parents drinking too much and dealing with screaming matches and police showing up while silently vowing to herself that she now knows better; she will never be like them. but damn. hereditary addiction is so strong. she lived every fucking word. every breath. all of it. id be willing to bet. hope im wrong. but if i am right, and lia ever sees this, im so sorry you experienced any of this. you didnt deserve it and youre not alone. xo

Yeah I just found this channel but I've been listening to her music (Not this vid) for a LONG time and only now see what it truly means. Idk her in person but Its heartbreaking for me

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life .

I have searched for Lia because I remembered she did some music (as anyone else I know her from React videos) and what I found was actually the story going on with her right now and it makes me wonder, when will people start being nice to each other? Firstly, be nice to yourself, then replicate it with whoever you interact with, it's that simple. Lia, from the bottom of my heart I wish you hit rock bottom as fast as possible but as safe as possible so you can finally rise back up to the point where people cannot drag you down and you could stand tall. I've been coming here to cry since 2016

I will forever remember the day they came and took you away. The day you left me behind. I can't look at you the same. I'm so afraid I'll be like you. What if I'm like you? And I can't stop it? What if I can't stop DNA? I don't what to hurt my family the way you did... I hope I can find the strength to be something better, something my family can be proud of...

@@knightofcarrion7358 yeah i agree. i work with substance abuse and when i heard about her it broke my heart bc i used to watch her. its a really tough situation and it is frustrating when you really care about the person and it seems like they will never get better

@@knightofcarrion7358 it all depends really. It's by who she surrounds herself with. Obviously her manager or whoever was making out with her in that live is a horrible influence. Also she needs to gain the motivation that is the biggest thing. Also some of the rehab facilities will keep people until the drugs are out of their system but don't do follow up treatment so going to a facility that will actually keep up with you is really important. I work outside of the facilities and I have seen many people become sober without needing rehab but in this case lia is wayyy to into the addiction for outside treatment. For her I would recommend going to rehab for 3-6 months then outside treatment and having a sponsor (a sponsor is like a mentor or a coach who checks up on the substance abuser constantly) and I do believe that everyone can become sober no matter how lost they become. People just give up on substance abusers really fast. And shaming them for being an addict is the worst thing you can do. She just needs a good team to help her

Ooofff this is haunting

At one of the lowest points of my life my daughter had me listen to this … April 10th I celebrated my first year of recovery and while it wasn’t because of this one event it certainly stands out in my mind.

this is so terrifying how she literally made a song about how scared she was about becoming her father, and look at her now :(. you can’t stop DNA.

A K yeah of course i understand that, anyone can get though it. i have all the hope in the world that lia will get though this. i was just reflecting in the lyric of her song and even though jeffree did break through it amazingly, lia has had trouble with it and slipped under. i’m praying for her and many others who are struggling ❤️

I still think about this song a lot, even 5 years later. It's just... damn. The music itself is beautiful, but it's the lyrics that always come back to me. I imagine Lia probably wrote all or most of the lyrics, given how deeply personal this song clearly is, and it's fucking wild honestly. Like, it demonstrates a level of poetic talent that is genuinely pretty rare in most mainstream music. That's not to say that mainstream artists never try to tackle emotional topics; every artist has at least one breakup song. Songs like these, which tackle very difficult topics that aren't as universally relatable as breakups, are much less common. But even when an artist does try to write a song like this, it's really rare to see it done with such talent and heart-wrenching sincerity. The line, "when I erupt, just like you do, they look at me like I look at you" stabs in the gut every time I hear it. It's fucking great Lia, you really have something special. I hope you're doing well these days

Crazy Simmer I cry a lot of me and my farther but I learned to control my sadness

Never knew this song has existed for a while until today. I just listened to it as I was watching the video & reading the lyrics. This hit hard because I can resonate with how it feels to grow up with a situation like this. It's not easy. I still get flashbacks from those painful moments i experienced in my personal life. I know what it's like to grow up with a "deadbeat" parent with issues like that. I really appreciate that this song gives off a relatable message for anyone who has been through something like this. It makes me feel less alone. So thanks & I'm a new listener. :)

Jared Holy but so many of us didn’t. So many of us tried to be here for years now, before the lives they were extremely problematic posts on her Snapchat and insta. She has been publicly experimenting with drugs for longer now, literally posted a story of her one years ago with an lsd blotter paper on her tongue or commented seeing her boyfriend as Jesus when she was on acid few months ago . It never reached public, no big youtubers reached out to here, her comments weren’t supportive they were beyond rude and hurtful for years. It’s almost frustrating that is has to come to such extremes for people to care or pretend to care. Lia has been problematic for a while now and no one helped

My father was never there, and my step-dad and mother constantly were arguing, and the arguments ended up turning into emotional abuse and neglect towards me. I can relate to that a lot, and it hurts like no pain ever. The feeling of having to grow up with this type of childhood and you don’t wanna be like him but then you do. It’s hard to fight back.
