The story of a bungalow built by the British Baker family in 1868. Madammakkulam was a pond used only by the residents of the Ashley estate especially by a lady named Ethel Munro. Ashly bungalow is believed to be one of the oldest surviving planters bungalow in Peermade.
The bungalow has a three-bayed high laden front and steps with scalloped ledges, making it is a curious mixture of local styles and English architecture. The spacious home where the Richardsons and Munroes stayed until the 1950s has a lofty domed wooden ceiling. The drawing room is majestic set with huge glass doors in a semi-circle and a wooden door that separates it from the dining area.

പല തരത്തിലുള്ള യാത്ര വിവരണങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ശബ്ദം കൊണ്ട് ഒരു ദൃശ്യം കവാടം തുറന്ന് അതിലെ ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇടനാഴിയിലൂടെ കൈപിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പോയ മാസ്മരികമായ യാത്ര വിവരണം ഇതു തന്നെ ആണ്. ഈ ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അറിയാതെ തന്നെ ഞാൻ ജനിക്കുന്നതിനു മുൻപുള്ള ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് പോയി. ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഞാനും ജീവിച്ചുണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നി പോയി. അത്രക്ക് മനോഹരമാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ അവതരണം . ചരിത്രം കേൾക്കുന്നത് തന്നെ വെറുപ്പാണ് എനിക്ക് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന ഒരുകാലത്തു ഇതുപോലെ ചരിത്രത്തെ വിവരിക്കാൻ ആളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ചരിത്രം ഒരു പൂവുപോലെ സുന്ദരമായേനെ. പടർന്നു പന്തലിച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്ന കടലാസ് പൂക്കൾ പോലും താങ്കളുടെ ഈ മനോഹരമായ അവതരണത്തിൽ ലയിച്ചു ഇരിക്കുന്നതായി തോന്നി പോയി വീഡിയോ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ. ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഈ വീഡിയോ ചിത്രീകരിച് താങ്കൾ മടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ മൺട്രോക് സായിപ്പ് പറയാതെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടാകും യാത്രിക എന്റെ ചരിത്രം ഇത്രയും വ്യക്തമായും സത്യമായും പുറം ലോകത്തിൽ എത്തിച്ചതിന് ഒരായിരം നന്ദി എന്ന്. ഒപ്പം ഒരു സ്വീകരണവും പള്ളിക്കുന്ന് പള്ളിയിലേക്കും പ്രിയ കുതിര ഉറങ്ങുന്നത് കാണാനും
