The World Tonight: Local government units in Metro Manila and across the Philippines have designated specific areas where fireworks can be legally used for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The move is aimed at preventing injuries from the unregulated use of pyrotechnics.

Nakalimutan Nila na naging tourist attraction narin Yung annual new year celebration sa manila. At the same time naging part na ng tradisyon ng mga pilipino Yung mag paputok ng fireworks at fire crackers.
Never happened in QC. It seems that only PRD was only the one who threatened the use of fireworks and was effective! Shame on the gov't for just implementing lip svc w/o real action!
Daming alam, kapag fireworks wag nila bawalan mga paputok lang na harmful lang talaga dapat.
Corny na ng New Year. Wala na fireworks.

There will be fires, buildings houses on fire because of undisciplined Filipinos, they're probally gonna be deaths, it happens every year.
