I was saddened about your mom not, perhaps, completely supporting you. Gabi, I am not a mom myself (I am a doggie mama) BUT if I were a mom to a human child, if he were male but identified as female I would completely accept it. If I had a transgender son who loved me and respected me, the same and probably more, love and acceptance would be given back to my child no matter what!. Gender identification is for the person who has to live with themselves. They need to be who they really are! Once again, what triumphs all of this ? LOVE! If love from someone is given back to me, I give them back my love and then more! Gabi, I am so happy your dad was supportive of you! You are such a dear Scent Sister to me! Rochas Femme is special. I knew a girl at University (mid-2000s) who wore it because her mother had worn it in the ‘60s. Most other people wore Fantasy etc., except my best friend who wore vintage Poison. 😊 Love and prayers, Gabi. ❤

I love the story behind it's creation and I should probably grab it while it's still available. Vol de Nuit is divine. Created in 1933, the year my lovely Dad was born😊 Makes me think of my Nan looking so young and so well turned out. She used to dress my Dad in little woolen suits and berets!! They were Londoner's through and through not Parisians 😅 Such elegant times.

I really like Femme but I haven't been brave enough to wear it in public. When I first tried it I had the idea that this is the formula a lot of the older Lush perfumes were perhaps inspired by... There's some sort of dank, sweet, smoky thing going on that I could easily see worn by a modern goth even. I was originally inspired to get it because someone called it a, excuse me, "slutty plum".

Very good and bold choices for a very perseverant exceptional woman. Things have come a long way in many places. Which is great! Let's hope progress continues, so all can enjoy the same rights and freedoms. I've known of my aunts best friend wanting to live as a man since the mid 90s. Back then, no one talked about transgendered people. He remained a woman for many years to stay with his girlfriend. But he finally couldn't take it anymore... They parted ways, and he finally started his transition. He must have been close to 50 at that point. He supposedly is very happy since. That's so great, considering he spent more than half of his life not being truly himself.
