@M W living as an Aroace in the Philippines is very hard. In my experience, people constantly think I'm broken. My family once sent me to therapy because they thought I had a mental disorder or a brain damage. People often think i'm heartless, and they never take me seriously because of the fact that they think I'm "impossible" or just traumatized by something. People always call me sexuality a "new sexuality" because they have never seen or heard about people like me before. Other than that, in the Philippines, the media is OBSESSED with romantic culture and crush culture is literally the only thing you can watch on TV.

Just because our struggles are not the same doesnt mean we don't struggle at all. It's BS if people think we are easily more accepted than those who are homosexual. Especially in very religious households, it is a requirement ESPECIALLY in women to get married and have children. If you don't have those then you are a disgrace and incomplete and not going with the will of God 🙄 That's what happens when you lack of representation in your community. Nobody will listen because nobody spoke up in the first place

6 happy years na with my partner. Never thought na magtatagal kasi personality-wise, we’re worlds apart. Hoping all the happiness for our LGBTQIA+ friends!

For the longest time I was confused about sa sexuality ko, and I thought I was just unlucky in love, turns out I was playing for the wrong team all along. hahahaha All it took was a loving boyfriend who helped me figure out who I really am.

To my queer siblings, you are valid, you matter. You don't need to explain yourself to people who lost their compassion to themselves. You bring so much diversity and love. Happy Pride Month!

We the LGBTQIA community deserve to be heard. We are all equal. Say no to discrimination! It’s already 2022!

This is a really good take/reaction on these assumptions. Like seriously, all things can happen whether you're straight or not, it is just being highlighted just because it is a LGBTQ+ thing. I hope that a lot of people watch this. I think that this video clears up all the common misconceptions about those who are part of LGBTQIA+ . A lot of my cousins came out of the closet but some of my relatives still made some rude comments about their relationships even though family is the first one who you would want to be accepted and understood first. To be honest, I am still confused on what my preference is because I've never been in a relationship but a part of me knows that I'm scared of entering one because I'm scared to be judged.
