I came back, and now people are saying lgbtq rights don't matter. Well, hear this I had a friend who was gay. I treated him equally as others and never freaked out. The thing is, that it was only me. Teachers will give him detention for no reason, give him 0 grades etc. The kids will leave notes like 'kill yourself', 'freak', 'better off dead' and things that are so horrible I prefer not to tell. One day I found him in the pool for swim team tryouts when some kids tried to drown him. I risked my own life, and me and my friend ended up in the emergency room. After going back to school, we got detention for a semester. FOR NO REASON. Now, he's no longer alive. He committed suicide after his mom passed away. THIS CANNOT GO ON. LGBTQ people DESERVE equal rights and respect.

If I were you I would have been same . The reason I am not a atheist and a Muslim is because in my country nobody taught Islam . They just used to say that they are Muslims but in reality they did every wrong thing there ever was. So my image for God was extremely blank. You can call me atheist at that time honestly. And one day I went into the mosque to pray because I wanted to be accepted by people or basically I was lonely. Yes I was selfish. But it was my natural Desire. Then when I found friends who were not harsh to me but were pretty dirty (not good in character) it made me rethink about life and eventually I found God not because of the people but because I knew there was someone who is going to punish those who were harsh to me because that someone loves justice that someone loves everyone. And wants everyone to accept him accept his love.

Jungwon Kim In my opinion, despite the extreme awareness of ethnic people, and the minor awareness of lgbt awareness, it is the lgbt people who are more oppressed. If you look at the surveys people have taken, lgbt men are about 4 times more likely to commit suicide than straight, cis people. If you look at the ethnic vs white side, white men are more likely to commit suicide, than all other races. This may seem surprising, but it’s true, based on the surveys they’ve recently taken. Btw, Incase you live in India, all the stuff that I said is true about the US. That’s where I live.

By not allowing LGBTQ persons to have equal protections as cis heterosexuals, you may be respecting the morals of religious people, but what about respect for those who aren't equally protected? Those with religious contempt for the LGBTQ community automatically have their respect valued more than those who are LGBTQ? When it comes to issues with rights, personal bias shouldn't even be a consideration. And in the US, where I'm from, as stated under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution, "No State... shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." It is the US government's constitutional duty to give it's citizens equal protection, and after the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Protection Clause is more relevant than ever. It's embarrassing that my country hasn't had a very good track record when it comes to equal rights, but within the past century, society has been progressing towards a future of true equality and protection under the law. So yes, all rights matter and all responsibilities matter, however when it comes to whether or not YOU or anyone else approves of equal rights is irrelevant (again, in the US since I can't speak for other countries).

Sex does matter. Womens rights are being curtailed due to self-ID ideology. Anyone should be able to identify as male, female, trans, non-binary etc, but it should not change their sex in regards to the law, and should not interfere with anyones sexual preferences. Self-ID is negatively affecting biological Women and threatening to obliterate Womens hard won sex-based rights.
