LG washing machine leaking water. Easy fix!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This LG washing machine has been leaking water. We searched everywhere to find the leak. All the drain lines and supply hoses were tight and not leaking. It ended up being a blocked bleach dispenser. So frustrating but an easy fix for this washer.
Appliance repairs can be expensive. Sometimes you can fix the problem yourself and save a bunch of money.

Omg! Wish I had seen this two weeks ago. Like you, we tore everything apart, replaced hoses, etc., and this is all it was the whole time!
I'm glad you had an easy fix. Mine is brand new, nothing in the bleach dispenser but still leaks
That bleach fill bin , hose, and separate pump to the bleach bin are a major problem on all LG top loading washers. You can try clean it, run washer tub clean cycle. But I guarantee it won't fix it for long. The metal around thr bleach fill bin also rusts out very easily. The best solution is to disconnect the bleach fill motor connectors on back panel there by no water will be pumped to the bleach fill bin. Which will stop the leaking and stop it from rusting out. And when you use bleach get color safe bleach or dilute it yourself and put in the tub .

I have the rusting out problem in my bleach dispenser. I have popped out the blue triangular piece shown in this video. We don't use bleach option that much if at all, so that seems to have arrested the rust problem. However it does look unsightly. I may try using a dremel tool to grind off the rust and repaint with some appliance paint in the future.
I'm going to be checking this out as soon as I get off work. Hoping this is my solution, too!
Yea! Thank you. Exactly what I needed.
Thanks. This worked for me!
Good vidie, lucky for me first thing I checked was the reservoir and found a small make up pad. Viola. This vidie assured me that was likely the issue..ran cycle before going any further,,,done
Thanks!!!!
Mine way clear but an easy thing to check now that I know. Thanks
Thank u
I had to replace the water inlet valve, and this started happening…, another video suggests not having your valves opened all the way as this will cause too much water pressure and force it to overflow, which makes sense too… it even went so far as to recommend disconnecting the hose, going to the bleach compartment and putting a screw and hose clamp over the end, which is my next step
Hi, can you post some cycle videos of this machine? I would like to see how it operates and compare it to the one we have now, we have a similar model. Thanks!
What about if you have water leaking into the washing bin after cycles are done. I can’t leave clothes in there at all cuz it leaks on them
