LG TurboWash3D Smart Top-Load Washer - Full Wash Cycle

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I DETEST doing laundry and that took on a whole new meaning when the old GE washer went kaput and couldn't perform a proper spin and drain without walking three-feet across the floor and shaking like a magnitude 7.9.
Enter this new large capacity (5.5 cu-ft) LG unit with a deep basin and see-through top. Very happy with this replacement. The ThinQ app is a plus.
Sit back and witness a full wash sequence - cold water normal wash for some of my exercise gear - all grey/black/navy (of course).
The 'popping' sounds that can be heard during portions of the video are rain drops hitting the awning outside (washer is located in the garage.)

I know these aren't meant to be filled up unless you hit the more water button or whatever it is, but how are the top of those clothes getting cleaned? We just got this washer yesterday and i feel like unless i add more water the clothes dont smell clean. Some even dryer than the others like they didnt even get that wet. Like i was watching it and a pair of short did not get wet like the rest. It was a small load if that counts. Also ours is somehow putting water on the floor right in front of the washer. I havent been able to catch how it does it yet, but it isn't anywhere else around the machine except right in front as if when it spins to rinse and such it may be throwing it out. Im going to stay and watch it tomorrow to see how it is happening, but im thinking of taking it back before our 2 days is up. Disappointing 😞

I add plus water every load! It took a year before I figured that out. I’m not super happy with this machine. I just don’t feel like the clothes are clean enough. I do leave the lid up for the other people that asked that. It had a see through lid and that’s the only reason I can handle it to stay open all the time.

Hi Andy, I thought something is with wrong with my new LG washing machine as it uses little water. but after I watched your video, It might not be the case. Please confirm LG washer's water level. Thank you very much.

Initially it certainly can be a bit surprising, but high efficiency washing machines use much less water than the traditional washing machines. There are wash cycles that enable you to use greater volumes of water, but is typically not necessary.

Nice washer. I am also looking into this model. Are you satisfied? Do you keep the door open or closed? I have keep the door open all the time with my front load washer which I hate.

Seriously I love this washer. It should have been purchased before I hastily bought the previous one. I believe this is well-engineered, it's a smart washer, and the app is a plus so I'm alerted when a load is done.

Also, the door must be closed, the cycle will only run if the mechanism is engaged and the door is locked.

Oh I meant when the washer is not in use. For front load, need to keep it open for mold prevention etc 😢

@@Christine-xs2of interesting you mentioned that, I came real close to getting a front opening washer before I decided on this one. Some manufacturers are even including a mold control aspect for the front loaders. Not necessary to keep the lid open on this one, I will keep it open sometimes however since the garage can get a bit humid.

Hi, is it possible to open the lid when its filling to rinse out my detergent cup?

  • @AndyMahnFL411

Good question. There is a lock mechanism on the lid that engages when a load is underway. This is intended to protect you, and also to avoid the washing machine miscalculating wash load volume, as it senses the volume of laundry and adds the appropriate amount of water. If it were to remain unlocked, it would be easy to add to the load volume and that can affect the wash results. Have you ever added the detergent cup right into the wash? Alternatively, I will often wipe out the inside of the detergent cup with an article from the wash load itself.

Is the sound while it's spinning normal? Sort of sounds like a rubbing or zhhhhhh, zhhhhh kind of sound. Just asking because I recently purchased one and that is what I am hearing. Thanks

Yes, in my experience, those sounds are normal, the electronics are working in that they are triggering the mechanisms that cause the tub to spin, balance the load and assess the contents, to determine the amount of water needed, based on the wash type.

Just got one delivered this morning. I hear all that noise too, guessing it's normal? The reviews all say how 'quiet' it is.😶

@@begpar to me, the sounds seem to be normal, then again they do not bother me much as the unit is in the garage and not in common area of my home.
