The door closing is the least of your concerns the refrigerator is going to fail in 3 years and then customer support will ignore you for months so please do your research before buying one of these.

My problem is that the right door doesn't open wide enough for me to take the drawers out to clean. How do I get the right door door to open as wide as the left?

I had a silly situation. I could not figure out why my door would not close. It turned out that a small clip I use to close food bags somehow had attached itself to the side which impeded the door from closing. It was a very small clip so I almost missed it.

my 5 year old lg french door frig has a right door that pops open when I close the left door. I am now seeing that it is ajar very often. Anyone know how to go about correcting this before I loose a lot of food? Thanks.

Hi there. It is normal for the other door to open and close because it's caused by the air pressure inside the refrigerator. Between the freezer and refrigerator, there is a path for cold air to travel. When a door is opened and closed, the outside air and the pressure inside the fridge are pushed to the other side. This can push the other door to open up a bit and close back. As long as the other door closes properly, this is normal and poses no issue. With that said, if the opposing door doesn't close properly, then it may require us to have a closer look. If this is the case, please check the containers stored near the door that may be preventing it from closing properly. If you have cleaned the refrigerator and removed the baskets and shelving recently, please check to make sure they are installed correctly. Check if the door seal gasket has stains. If it does, please use a steamed towel to remove them as this can prevent them from working properly. Finally, closely inspect the door seal for damage or signs of wear and tear. Right door is not sticking properly like it use to be.. i tried to put more stuff in the right side. But still not working… it used to be sticking even theres not much stuff in the right side. Just a little push before and it will close on its own now i need to make sure that its closed properly coz one time i wake up and its not closed and didnt make sound…. HELP!!!

lol just got one brand spanking new nothing in the fridge and doesnt seal properly has nothing to do with items inside as there are non. you can see that it does not seal biggest mistake of my life, who calls for a repair guy 48 hours after install. its clearly a production issue. we are waisting electricity on this piece of ....... for the next 5 days until a rep comes to see it. are you kidding me !!! this thing is sweating inside from not sealing properly you can see that the door sits out likes it open a bit . the freezer seals fine . item 27 cu. ft. Side by Side Smart Refrigerator w/ InstaView and Craft Ice in PrintProof Stainless Steel . we are BEYOND dissapointed and will never repeat never get an lg fridge now im worried about the lg stove and dishwasher as we bought a bundle for discount. how do you come back from this as a company that sells this kind of garbage.
