Stopped here for curiosity sake. I bought a 65 inch LG nanocell 75. Absolutely no regrets. Some of these high end vid guys are never satisfied with anything. This TV does fine for me. Depending on the source, the images dropped my jaw. And the price was great....around$1,000.

The 86Nano75 may not be the best picture, but everyone ripping it below needs to mention the higher price they are paying for the other tvs they are recommending. For the money, this is a really good television. I bought the 86nano75 - 86". Love it. Will admit my Sony 65" - 8 series has a better quality pic but this is a fantastic value for the quality. The 86Nano75 was only 1599.00. Heck of a deal. If you want top quality picture then plan on spending at least 500.00 more. The difference in quality between for the money wasn't worth it to me. If you want to drop 3k on a TV, then the picture quality is significant, but 1599.00 getcha a LG NANO

i baught mine with a no qibble warenty for five years for £1000,188. in the UK and when set up properly comes pretty close to the top tier TVs, people dont calebate there TVs and that is a waste of what it can deliver with the right adjustments. and this TV seems to be counter intuative in how you set it up eg unless you put the contrast to the max you get a washed out picture.

youre absolutely right but you should atleast compare it to other TVs in the same price range, the Samsung Qleds or highsense for example.. And the samsungs and highsense have better blacks and get a bit brighter. And I had a nano86 and the viewing angles aren't really better than VA viewing angles..

I recently bought an LG nanocell 86” and i am so happy i choose to upgrade to this over LG 2020 75 inch… it took me a few days to find the perfect picture settings and now i am very impressed. The colours are gorgeous and bright, the black levels are certainly much deeper and better than the UP model and one of the best features is the blue light filter which avoids eye strains when watching tv and makes the pictures warmer (similar to the true tone feature on iphone - where you will see the difference when you turn off true tone)…this helps to bring out better picture overall and maintain detail on brighter images.

I have the lg 75nano866pa sadly out of the box its not that impressive but after calibrating and some changes it looks a lot better. turn off local dimming turn on AI picture and set the panel brightness to the max and same with contrast and most important of all turn off eco mode and dont use the director film mode or any film mode it reduces the brightness and leaves a yello tint, so go for bright space or set up standard mode to your taste. i hope that gives you some improvement.

It's just such a shame none of the KZreadrs who review these TVs actually mention LG UK's customer service. It's beyond 💩. Yeah, the OLEDs are great for picture quality, but if you get screen burn, LG UK just doesn't want to know. I took them to the small claims court and won on the grounds that a user has the right to watch whatever content they like. Screen burn made the TV not fit for purpose. Don't take my word for it. Call LG customer service and make up some stuff about permanent image retention. You will see how they are trained to fob you off.

This is why Samsung does not make OLED tvs, for tvs it is not good technology, it starts to degrade in day 1 since the blue LEDs are the first ones to burn and degrade it's lifespan, the blue LEDs are the ones responsible for brightness, Samsung is creating qdled to make a blue back led(qdot) to cover the function of the problematic blue oled, and this is to try to give more lifespan for the panel, oled are made from organical material, this is why it degrades and eventually dies, For smartphones it works because of its lower power consumption, so it doesn't burn

Please start mentioning how much worse the LG Web OS is. It really should be considered when buying a new TV. The basic ESPN app and the basic Fox TV apps are not available on Web OS. There are lots of sporting events like top 20 college basketball games that might not appear on normal TV broadcasts in fall because they occur during college football Saturday, etc. That makes sense, but you need espn app if you want to watch them,. The Fox app also offers football games in 4k without upcharges that KZreadTV wants, etc. This is why TVs with native android TV(like Sony)are superior for at least the OS and compatibility side. For LG you have to try to stream from your phone, and I think stuff like the OS should be mentioned.

I’m sorry but I bought the LG NanoCell 90 86” LED and it has by far the worse viewing angles I have ever seen on an LED TV. The local dimming is so poorly implemented on this tv it’s pretty much unwatchable with that feature turned on… so even though I paid for it.. I have to turn that feature off. Unless you are positioned directly in front of this TV the picture is trash. LG makes some of the worse LED TVs around and are subpar at best when compared to the likes of Sony and Samsung LED TVs. NanoCell technology is complete trash. The picture does not get dark or bright enough unless you subject yourself to LG’s local dimming which is horrible. My advice get a ANY Samsung QLED or Crystal UHD or ANY Sony over this TV. Now LG makes probably the best OLED tv for a reasonable price but in a 83” size it’s over 5k… and that’s laughable

thats right! Any samsung qled would be better and has better black level because of VA and hast better local dimming in higher samsung models. Or the highsense is also very good (dont know the model number). I had the nano 86 and gave it back and bought the lg b1.

Not all nono cell tv sizes are ips. Depending what size you have it could be a VA panel. Which has poor viewing angles. So I wouldn't be surprised if the 86 inch was a VA. The 75 is ips. And I believe the 50 and 70 inch models are VA . This is something many people don't look at when they buy a tv. They just see the review see the image in reviews than go out and buy a d take home. Being someone that had the lg75nano75 I can tell you the image is remarkable but only when viewing 4k or 4k HDR content. Though the upscaling on this tv is ok it is not nearly on par with Sony or Samsung in this regard. So unless you are streaming 4k movies and shows or playing on an Xbox series s/x or PS5 You won't get that knock you out of your seat experience. Also this tv greatly benefits from having it professionally calibrated. You can get that amazing holy cow wow image out of this tv but not out of the box. Many people will return this tv instead of waiting and spending money to have it calibrated or tinker with all the picture settings for hours honing it in. If you want out of the box amazement either spend more money on the higher end models or look into Samsung Q80 and Q90 models or higher mid to premium grade Sony TVs which have incredible upscaling and natural vibrant colors whether watching in 720p 1080p or 4k. But if you are on a budget and want a tv that can preform and are willing to spend the time in picture settings dialing things in this tv can be just the thing and quite impressive as well.

I agree jeremiah it's crap lol. I exchanged mine for the UP 916, it's 120 hz refresh rate as opposed to the garbage 60 hz lol. It's only got 525 bits of brightness, you can't even get full HDR at less than 600 nits, the dirty screen effect and blooming around subtitles is so distracting.
