I picked up this one at a recycling place in Port Stephens, NSW for 35 bucks. Agree, the sound is amazing. I have an iPod 160 GB that still work and man, unbelievable sound. I have a couple of high end Sony MP3 players, yes the ones that are over 1,500 and I played DSD files and totally blowed my mind, the bass is so clear. I listened to Avalon album in DSD format and so glad I picked up this little guy!!!

Yeah man, I'm quite impressed with it too. I just paid $65 (I'm in New Zealand) got it from "Cash Converters". Aside from the build quality and sound, another point that i like is it plays DVD/DivX/MP4 etc too. Yeah, the bass, clarity and power/volume is actually quite impressive for a small lightweight unit (speakers are heavy but the receiver is really light imo).

I own this LG Micro Hifi since 2008, These audio systems sound great with very cheap price. And I believe this is one of the best LG micro Hifi masterpiece that they have ever collaborate with Mark Levinson. But, mine unfortunately, the dvd player and function button are not working anymore. But I like the speakers very much. I'm still using both of LG FBS 163V speakers until now along with Yamaha Receiver HT-2071. One annoying thing that I found in these speakers is the audio cable connected to speaker permanently and it quite small for the speaker. I have plan to replace it with greater aftermarket audio cable. Do you have any idea how to open the speakers or release the cable for these speakers?

Hi i think that the woofers should be placed so that they face each other I have the feeling that the gems here are the speakers (the Barefoot speakers of the poor guy ?) and they can sustain also better amplification Am i right ? Thanks and regards, gino

You may be able to connect via the 3.5mm audio/music player input behind the front panel. I just bought mine today, and I was looking to run aux audio from my TV into the unit by the same method.....like a home theater.
