After an "exhaustive" search for a User's Manual for this remote, I found your KZread videos. I watched both and cannot tell you how appreciative I am that you took the time to so elegantly explain the "ins-and-outs" of this remote control. With the remote for my older Samsung Smart Tv, you could have the remote learn the codes from a Remote Controlled Wall Mount (LAVA) so that you could control it from the TV remote. Is there any way to do this for the LG Magic Remote? Thanks for your excellent video.

I am very disappointed that there isn’t a dedicated button to bring up subtitles. I know how to find them but it’s a bind having to go through four or so operations to turn the subtitles on and off. The less Smart TV I have just retired did have a dedicated button. Am I missing something? And lastly is there any reason why I can’t bring up any subtitles for BBCiPlayer?

I have an LG OLED C1 TV which is connected to a Humax Recorder I can switch to the Humax recorder and display the program guide using the LG magic remote, however I haven’t found out how to schedule recordings on the Humax Recorder using the magic remote controller.

Our home button suddenly isn’t working and now we can’t go to apps except by using the Prime button or speaking which app we want. I was hoping the colored buttons were for programming apps.

Hello, Is there a way to have this remote Fast Forward & Rewind while playing a Live Channel from Cable Box? Or do I have to go back to my Cable box remote just for that feature? Why is there not a Fast Forward & Rewind Buttons?

Hit the button with the 3 dots. If you scroll down in the menu it pulls up there are the controls for FF and RW. It’s kind of cumbersome. Hoping there’s a short cut.

One thing I haven't been able to resolve is this: when I've scheduled a recording, my TV tells me that if I change channel, the recording will stop. Hi, thank you for your informative video ! My new LG OLED C1 finds nothing when scanning channels, except for LG Channels ? LG told me it is « not » possible to change channels with Magic Remote if my TV is connected to a Cable provider (box is Arris 525e) which is connected with HDMI1 port. Is this true ? Therefore the up & down arrow on LG remote does not work and I have to use my cable provider remote to change channels. I would have loved to use only 1 remote the Magic Remote … In your video it looks like you do have a Cable connection for your TV channels and it seems you can change channels. I would love to do the same!

I watch the other one about the magic remote and this one and all I wanted was to find where the pause button was which I was not able to do.

Hi, it's me again. Sorry. I just realized one thing I forgot to ask you about. On my DISH remote, there is an Info button that tells you about the program you are watching, or a program you are looking at in the guide. I haven't found a way to do that with my LG remote. I just have to select the program to see what it's about, but there's no written information.

This is not for 2021 lg TVs but it works for 2020

Any thoughts why the cursor (pointer) has disappeared on my TV? I have tried re-registering my remote and pressing all buttons, but nothing makes it appear. If I shake the remote it does not show. @@katrinacross210 It's a while ago now and I can't quite remember. I think I may have tried new batteries or power cycled the TV. It did return eventually and quite quickly, so persevere!

It's good to know about that hidden menu screen that's accessed by hitting the mute button three times. On mine, it also will bring up a hidden menu screen showing what resolution, frequency, and VRR or fixed, if you push the green button several times. I'm wondering though if there are more hidden menu screens like this - any idea?

Think they changed it. Look up lg c1 secret menus. Their is a way but can’t remember.

Hopefully the design person at LG that decided to make the colored keys function as they do got fired because they seem fairly worthless. Really? What a joke. If they had made them user programmable then they would actually serve a purpose. The whole design of this remote is pretty "janky", if you ask me. Sigh.

I wish I had never heard of LG tv let alone bought one. This remote control must be the most useless one ever designed. To start with, no instruction on how to set the tv up or the remote when buying the tv, WHY ? To save pennies at the expense of stressing out purchasers ? Videos here don’t help to remove he cursor permanently, just until you next touch it, the you are automatically reregistered. X%@#&

Yes you can, you need to attach a usb drive, min 4GB, then you can press and hold the red button for options...

Hi Irene, she needs to press and hold the button with three dots on it, to the right of the 0 button. Press and hold it for about three seconds to turn on and then turn off....hope that helps 👍

Hi Jane, it appears that these TVs don't receive the teletext service. The service is still being provided by the BBC but the red button doesn't give the text options. From what I've read some people still receive it via a traditional analogue aerial but not via digital services...

Does anyone have a problem with their Magic Remote where the back button always takes you back to the Home Screen, instead of going to the previous menu on the apps? It even happens on the settings. This makes the remote pretty much unusable. I have an LG C1, btw. Edit: I managed to make it work properly for about 1 minute after resetting the remote, but the wrong behavior returned after that.

Not helpful. Turbo clicking through buttons without showing clearly what you were pressing was confusing.
