Overall v60 is slightly better BUT: the selfie camera is important in this phone as it can be used as main when the dual screen is on. For this, the 32MP of g8x is important (unless v60 has a better result with the lower camera due to sw which I doubt)

Yeah they scimped out a bit on the front camera ( and a few other things) so the LG V60 could have more ram and a better screen. Edit: While keeping the price lower than other Flagships with similar specs.

Surprising that the V60 uses gorilla glass 5 instead of 6 like on the G8X.

What's weird is the V50 does have Gorilla Glass 6, but only on the back... For some reason they decided to put 5 on the front with 6 on the back, meanwhile the G8X did 6 on the front with 5 on the back.

Great video I know the video speaks for itself but would you say the V60 Thinq is better then the g8x? (Even though they are nearly the same?)

Thanks Brandon, For you if price is not an issue than with a latest processor and overall refresh device V60 would be a good deal. But, If I had to choose one for my self then it would have been the LG G8X. (As it provides value for money). Hope that helps 😊

That's a tough Comparison though. The price difference between the two is very low. So, I think with 2 extra cameras and a slightly better Display V50 is a good deal in that case.

Screen on the g8x is way to "yellow" Can't stand it. There's no white just a dull yellowish white

you got the cameras mixed up. v60 does not have Telephoto. It has the ultra wide

I thought the V60 didn’t have a telephoto

I've always wanted to switch to somthing that is't Samsung or Apple, I once decided to buy Huawei, but it was also kinda expensive and had no Google, but then there is the LG V60 thinq which is the oppsite, yet cheaper and also has very good performance. So I guess I found what I needed!

I am considering getting the v60 or g8x. Did you get the v60? If so, thoughts?

Wrong info the v60 does not have a telephoto lens instead it uses an ultra wide lens

I have both and I guess my only preferences between the two is that I love the flush cameras on the g8x and it's pocketable size. But that is it. The V60 is a beast. I only bought it because tmo says that the G8X won't work on their network coming from Sprint. I smell BS. LG claims that it will work and that it's up to tmo to make it work. They refuse so I was kind of forced to upgrade after only 8 months of using it. Pissed me off but I'm happy with the V60. I guess I would have had to upgrade to 5g eventually

It is a good comparison. The slight improvement in processor, RAM, and color makes it hard for me to justify a $300 MSRP difference. The only real considerations are the OS and battery here. But, if the Android 10 update works on the G8X, is the improvement in battery worth it? Likely no. LG did not do a good job marketing here. LG did miss out on a chance to put a backup battery into the case to give more charge capacity. I have the V20 and need to upgrade. So, likely going to G8X

Processor is a generation newer, which costs a bit, same as the cameras, and 5g which is really well supported by some carriers and much less by other carriers. Also a 25% larger battery I got about the same price on both though used.
