LG Dryer - Reasons Why Your Dryer Won't Dry

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If your dryer continuously shuts off during a cycle or leaves your clothes feeling damp even after a cycle, it's possible that there may be a blockage or a restriction in your home exhaust system. Blockages and restrictions in the duct work possibly caused by lint buildup and debris can prevent your dryer from running efficiently at maximum performance.

I think LG dryers are just fancy junk. They have so many useless connectivity features but just doesn't do the one thing it's supposed to do: dry the laundry! I had a 10-year old Maytag that worked just fine but a new LG is giving me so much pain.

The reason why is because LG makes complete garbage dryers. Mine is less than a year old, and already broken. I am not the only one complaining as there is a multitude of people with the same complaints. I think it's time for a class action lawsuit for faulty manufacturing.

Many or most LG dryers have horribly designed lint traps which leak lint into the discharge. If LG was smart enough to design a proper fitting lint screen trap, lint in the pipe would be less of an issue because there wouldn't be much lint in the pipe. Most of it would have been actually caught by the lint screen. Why doesn't LG hire some engineers who can actually design a good lint trap that can easily be cleaned without having to take the machine apart all the time? Best yet, why doesn't LG have a good fitting aftermarket upgrade that they offer to owners of crummy LG dryers so they can dry their clothes properly like they used to with their previous American made Maytag machines?

I switch the thermal fuse. Limited thermal fuse, clean out ducting leading outside and bought new ducting that connects to wall. Changed the reset button, and my dryer is still not heating. It would start to heat when I changed all fuses and ducting but then turned off on me and not won’t heat at all. Only code I get is d80 but it’s impossible because I already cleaned out all vents lint catchers. I don’t know what to do at this point. I feel like I need to just buy a new dryer with different brand. Maybe whirlpool 😢😕

My sensor isn't on. I have a brand new dryer and it keeps stopping only a few minutes into drying. I end up using the manual dry which still doesn't get all of my clothes dry despite setting it to an hour and forty minutes (max manual time). When I set the dryer to the max settings it has melted one of my shirts. When I use any other settings it doesn't dry. When pulling my clothes out of the dryer some are really hot and damp. Some are completely dry. Ive already had the dryer replaced and a technician came out. Nothing changed. When I call customer service, im discouraged to have another technician come out. Even had to go through the manual with a customer service agent. WHY do I have to go through the manual? They should be able to help or send someone who can. Absolutely BS.

My clothes come out of my LG dryer damp. I don't think it's the sensor because when I turn the water off from the connection from the washer and run the dryer things get dry. I never in 5 years used this option. How can I get rid of the hose connection from the water line. I am 80 years old and have already had an "appliance repairman" come in and he didn't find this solution and the cost was $65.00.. Actually, he found no solution said "it should work now". Any help for this old lady would be appreciated!!!!

REMEMBER: Turn the water supply off before you disconnect any water hoses. As you already know, you don't need the water hose connected to the dryer. Typically, for the dyer to be supplied with water, there is a 'Y-hose fitting' installed on one of the water supply hoses from the washing machine. You can have this 'Y-hose fitting' removed, and at the same time, remove the hose connected to the dryer. The dyer works just fine without the water hose connected. Make sure to hook the water back up to the washing machine though. If you can't find someone to do this for you...as described...you can disconnect the dyer water hose from the 'Y-hose fitting' and install a "..3/4" Brass Garden Hose End Caps with Washers.." (Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon has them) Do Not buy plastic and remember...REMEMBER: Turn the water supply off before you disconnect any water hoses.

Another tip: Run the machine on "timed dry." LG dryers aren't actually "automatic" dryers as most Americans understand the term. I'm surprised LG doesn't put out a video that states, _"If your very expensive LG dryer isn't drying your clothes very well, you may want to install a clothes line in your back yard. The sun is a very effective and inexpensive heat source that sanitizes the clothes too."_

as a technician I don't recommend LG. When they break... replacement parts are overpriced and expensive. For example Gas dryer valve for a non LG (coils) cost $5 to replace. and on LG they made it non standard and constantly breaking and will cost $140 every time! And that's the price just for the part. (there's no improvement in performance at all with a different part, it's just expensively different) Because of that I don't think LG is a good brand to choose.

It's a sad shame you have to pay an arm and a leg for a washer dryer combo these days and they all seem to be junk. You'd think with all the technology available in the world today that somebody could design and engineer a dryer that will dry a load of clothes in 30 minutes or less without shutting down because of all the bs sensors they have on them. I sure miss the days of the very affordable Kenmore washer and dryer sets from Sears that would go for 10 or 15 years easily with no problems. And they were made in America. Best I can tell, you can take all this overpriced,Made In China garbage and put it where the sun don't shine. I'll never by anything with LG on it again!
