Brings back memories.... including a school trip to Germany from North East on a 1972 leopard/panorama. Most memorable was seeing a one hitting 90mph for long stretches on the M1 (slight downhills) during the early hours in 1976 on an OK motor services one (Newcastle United supporters coach returning from London after league cup final with Man City... Newcastle lost! 😢)

This is the only Leopard Video I've seen on KZread where it has a 2 speed axle. I would love to see a longer video of this coach. The normal five speed had a very long space between fourth and fifth, which often meant coaches would slow to 50-55mph before changing down with the engine at max revs. But top gear would take these well past 70 on the motorway, on my journeys back from London to B'ham in the 70s and early 80s I often saw the speedo indicating 80mph with the coach in the outside lane of the M1! I only went on a couple of Leopards with the 2 speed axle, and the half step between top and fourth made a huge difference in maintaining speed on hills. Anyway, if you get a chance to do another longer video of this coach with the gear change being shown I'd really enjoy it.
