Yeah we had one also original mustardy orange color with the black bottom, the we painted it red with black racing stripes, over hauled the engine made it from 3.0L to 3.2L bigger pistons it was cheaper than finding original piston size, still have the motor now because the roof was starting to rust, but that was really a lekker bakkie

I met the owner last night and he took me for a ride and i can tell you this is a monster bakkie and everything was done nice and profesional

@@paxhumana2015 Good day i dont know someone personally that has one of these trucks but i have seen them at some car shows and my wifes uncle use to import American cars and trucks that he and some of his friends restored and some of them was used in movies like Warhead ect

Honestly, I would have went with the far simpler, as well as cheaper, Ford Coyote V8 swap, as there is a lot more versatility with that engine than the Lexus V8. Granted, it is essentially the same thing as the Toyota 5.7 Liter 3UR-FE engine, which honestly does not get enough love, and that, with the right kinds of changes, could become a monster of an engine, but, to be honest, it is far easier to source a Ford Coyote V8 engine or a Nissan VK56 engine, as well as far cheaper to get truly quality custom/aftermarket parts for those engines, than it is for a Toyota or Lexus V8 engine of any sort. Also, let us not forget the most obvious reason why such an engine would be worth it and it would be that a Ford vehicle deserves a high powered Ford engine.

It could be a Ford P100 (the older Cortina version rather than the later Sierra version).

Hehehe is al hoe jy n ford kan maak loop n plastic v8. Dan is hy gecharge ook. My chev maak meer krag op sy wiele met n N/A 350ci chev engine. 442whp. Maar goeie werk darem nie n frod engine nie. I love a toyota engine reliably.

Nice build, but personally this is disrespectful towards the Ford Cortina... at least put a Coyote in in... but hey, not my car

Charger sounds iretating.sounds like a dentist's drill and the bakkie can't handle.will drive circles around it with my m3.
