    Update: don’t do the breathers. These cars use MAF (mass air flow) and not MAP (pressure) so it will trigger CEL for unmetered air.

    @@TunerwithKids Yep, it depends on your budget. Another trick to share is that to have a good seal around PCV valve to the new hose, I ordered another PCV OEM vent hose($15) which has the right angle and inner diameter. So the new hose(to the oil can) is not going to directly connect to PCV valve, instead it is gonna connect to the new OEM vent hose, which provides a perfect vacuum seal. Good luck.

  • @Evil1nside
    @Evil1nside2 жыл бұрын

    About those tiny filters on the intake tube, and the camshaft. I also did this, but quickly realized why I shouldn't. Basically what happens is, you are introducing a vacuum leak past the MAF sensor, and into the throttle body, which will cause problems in the long term. For short, you will get a MIL code for lean condition, because the ECU will detect more air in the chamber, then what the MAF is detecting, thus, is will try to compensate with more fuel, which will immediately become apparent with any decent diagnostics which is able to read live data from STFT and LTFT. Do NOT do this! Your car will run lean, and will burn more fuel, AND will destroy your economy, acceleration, catalysator, and potentially the engine itself.
