Honestly I prefer to think of it as a sensor pod. The pod is not much higher than the saucer section, thus if you have a bad tac officer, there goes the bridge.

@@eatatjoecs it can be both. And the pod is called a "Mission" Pod, so while yes it is a torpedo pod, it's also a sensor suite, and a probe launcher.

Lexington dred is easily one of my favorite ships in the game.

It certainly is one of the best daily drivers and leveling ships due to being tanky yet still maneuverable and of course it has cyclical quantum slipstream drive to get around the sector map quickly. Simply a nice step up in most aspects from the Gagarin.

Interesting video. Just got back into the game after 4 years. Got me a Lexington and tried to follow your build as close as I could with what I have. It works well enough.

Short and sweet and gets to the point , I’ve playing this game since it came out and this was useful !

Thank you for this. I found quite a few build tricks for the Lex that I had not thought of from your build. I'm weird as I most often build a character around a ship that I like. So many of my characters will fly their specific ship for a long time. This ship just replaced my longest serving ship on one of my oldest toons. The trusty Fleet Gagarin is finally heading back to the shipyards. The more I play with the Lexington, the more I start to think this might be the best ship currently in the C-store to actually fly. It's very very close to the Inquiry in terms of layout and seating. The Inquiry's is slightly better, getting you an extra rank of Intel. plus the 5/3 weapons layout, and a much more maneuverable ship. But the Lex has a hanger bay and that Phaser Lance. And yes the ability to use those Odyssey Specific DEW damage consoles is so nice. If it has a flaw it's in cooldown reduction. I'm relying mainly on Boimler in order to maximize some MW abilities.

Ive dumped everything into my Lex, was nice coming back to sto as a lifetime day 1 mk 10 rear admiral and flying this beast w mk 15 gear and terran battlecruiser traits. 32nd c phasers w quantum front, trilithium omni coming out of the proper hardpoints on the model. Then a mk 15 rapid reload transphasic on the back. Aegis for style w the vet hull and Odyssey pylons

Thanks for the great write up btw. I mastered the arbiter but it felt and looks underpowered lol. Evasive maneuvers, emergency power to engines, attack pattern omega, engine battery and tractor w 2 or 3 rcs accelerators makes the Lexington feel too reactive to be honest lol but i love it

Not sure how I missed this. Seems like a solid build. I may have to try it. I have a phaser beam and torp build that I figured and threw together myself as well as a fun cannon/control build utilizing the T-6X features. I mean, it's basically a utility dreadnought at that point, might as well have some fun!

I just got to level 55 and been using this ship. It’s great. Although, I’m using mine as a beam tank. It seems to do the job well!

Nice build on an excellent ship. Lex is one of my faves.

The Flagship Tactical Computer console is on the Endeavor class tactical star cruiser not the Yorktown class science star cruiser. The Yorktown science star cruiser has a Dampening Wave Emitter console.

Honestly the weapon layout doesn't bother me. 5 forward weapons tend to misfire. I did however find myself having a little trouble with the BO seating. It's good but it's weird. I don't know whether to use the Lt cmd universal seat for more tactical seating or for science for more Unconventional system procs. I do like the Intel seating though as that offers more variety than the Verity and there are some US procs in that specialization. Other than that, this ship is near perfect. MW, hanger bay, spinal lance, good mastery package, and drop dead gorgeous!

You can put in a Console Slot a Chevron Separation this Chances the Agony Phaser Lance into a Agony phaser Lance - Wide Beam and this doing a lot of Dmg. A .Max. One Hit on a ISA (Testrun) was 118 K, i expext More Dmg on Elite Content.

@@Stu1701 yes, the Agony Phaser Lance works on the Same way. Like a Galaxy-X. I tested this out, on the realease Day and today.I was very happy. On a Fire at Will Build on a Elite Run was 468 K DPS. I Love this Ship.

I started playing again on PC after quitting the PS4 version 5 years ago. I've been at it a week, and this is the ship I went with. This build looks unattainable for someone like me who's starting from the beginning. I wouldn't know where to begin.

The one that I have been using on this ship as I tend to use: Fore Weapons: Wide Angle Dual Beam (Disco Rep)*, 32nd Century Phaser Cannon, 32nd Century Phaser Cannon, Dark Matter Quantum Torpedo* Aft Weapons: Polaron Omni (Gamma Rep), Neutronium Torpedo (Delta Rep), Martok Transphasic, Kinetic Cutting Beam (Omega Rep) Deflector: 8472 Rep Deflector Impulse: Subtranswarp Drive (Omega Rep) Warp Core: Synergistic Warp Core (Gamma Rep) Main Consoles: Borg Assimilated Module, Lorca CFC Console*, Tachyokinetic Console, Romulan Zero-Point Console, 360 Multi Barrage (from the Lexington--I believe), House Martok Console (**Good for the two piece with the Martok Transphasic Launcher, boost to Crit Chance), Hostile Acquisition (Accuracy), M6 Computer, DOMINO, and the Flagship Console or the Adaptive Systems. I took this build into battle on Hive Onslaught and she performed very well...so watching your videos as well as MC Stu, Augmented Dictator and a few others have helped me enjoy this game even more than I thought I would. SO again--Thank you! The only thing that could make this build better to me--is to complete my Reps, which I am working on and the Locators from the spire. When fully outfitted with my traits (as is) and this loadout, I managed to get 72% on Accuracy... 32% on Crit Chance and 123% on Crit Severity. Overall, this ship does the job. I am testing this setup with my Gagarin Build. A lot of this will go into that, but yeah, I can't wait to work on it. Thanks Again!

you mean the 6th starship trait? You unlock that on a ship when you apply an Experimental Upgrade token to it. The 6th slot will only apply to ship you've upgraded.

I love having two phaser lances on this thing.

Miracle Worker is one of the five ship specializations. It determines what kind of ship mechanic the ship has, as well as some of the specialization seating.

Stu1701 - I love this variant of the Odyssey and I think of what would happen if we took the weapons pod of the Sutherland/Nebula Class and swapped that in instead of the 3rd nacelle on the Galaxy Dreadnought. Your overview on this ship is awesome. However--one thing I have wanted to locate is a fleet so I can join it and grab a couple of the Locators from the fleet spire. Other than that, between you, MC Stu and Augmented DG, I have learned a great deal over the last few months. Thank you for this review and overview! If you have any recommendations for other (similar) items for the locators, I would love to hear them. LLAP

Well, I want to see a torp build. I got really interested in those lately and leveled my KDF recruit focused on that. Which is really fun scratching up mission gear for it at low levels.

Command Ships are usually best suited for Torps, MW for beams. S31 Cmd Battlecruiser is a beast for Torps.

It can certainly do a decent torp/mine build with mixed armaments synergy. But the better torp platform would be the Terran Trailblazer Command Science Warship. It can do both really good EPG/Control and Torp builds simultaneously, which is a really potent combination if you mix Gravity Well with Torp Spread and some other AOE damage abilities. The inspiration abilities on Command ships are superior to the Miracle Worker stuff, because they give you useful situational team buffs you can time well. So i can heartily recommend the Trailblazer if torp builds is what you fancy.

I'm a new player and came across this video, I love piloting big ships and the Lexington really calls to me. Problem: I don't have access to the events or ships that had all these unique consoles. Do you have a "budget build" suggestion for anyone who doesn't have access to an infinite backlog of universal consoles?

Great vid was very helpful I don't have every console ,trait ,and doff you have but helps with a very nice base line just will use what I have to buff the phaser damage mix and match the traits and Doff I do have thanks again!!!!!!

Yeah, I know not everyone has everything I have. I did a video of just general useful starship traits for energy weapons builds, I've been wanting to do something similar for consoles for this exact reason.

I tried going for a more hp/tank build for my Lexington to make it feel like a proper dreadnought she can take a beating but as the iconians found out she still has a slap

I like delta flyers as my hanger fighters, you may only get 4 at max but they are stronger and last longer.

I absolutely love your build videos, straight to the point on the build, without dragging on. Would it be possible to do a build video using the inquiry class, but give a console alternative for those that don't have the universal consoles, from promo/legendary ships. Love the inquiry starship. I would love to see how powerful she can get from someone who knows what they're doing. Lol.

I do have a build for the Inquiry, it's somewhere on the channel. It's a bit older than this video. It's hardly a budget build, but it might be a good starting point for you.

Completely forgot about those Flagship consoles from 10+ years ago. It'll be great to find a good use for them. I wonder how this compares with an Entwined Tac Matrices and Supercharged Weapons build using 1 Torp and 7 beams with all the swag that boosts beams from firing a Torp.

I have that trait you mentioned and i quite honestly find it to be quite good. That being said i do know its not for every ship or build but for me at least its been pretty solid but to maximize the hanger pets swap out the terran shuttles for any of the fighter squadrons as that will give you more hanger pets per launch

Take out the tack converter. Use assimilated module. Or the kinetic cutting beam would be kind of useless.

I doubt we'll see another version of the Galaxy-X, we already have a C-store and Legendary version of it, and both the Galaxy and Yamato skins have gotten revamps.

Normally i switch out all weapons consoles to my go 32c phasers but i was pleasently suprised at just how good imo this ship is with its agony phasers, dual phasers and cannon. Tho i do kind of wish they had phaser mounts on the heavy weapons pod as well

I use Intel as primary to get access to the Space Flanking skill and Temporal as secondary to get the Entropic Rider skill. Space Flanking will give a bonus damage buff when firing on an enemy's rear arc, and Entropic Rider gives a chance for my weapons to get a physical damage DOT. Strategist is also good for a secondary, but has no skills that benefit ground builds, Temporal at least has beneficial skills for ground (like Imminent Decay and Inevitability) so I don't feel like my ground build is lacking when doing random TFOs.

Unrelated to the ship build... Which I love to play! But what is that 3rd skill on your away team engineers?

Is any part of these DPS numbers due to your team synergy? (debufs, bufs, etc) I am finally able to put some of these builds together and I can't break 120K on an advanced PUGs for ICA. Regarding your build here: Is the terran task force BA not a good choice here? And isn't the turret in the back sufficient to trigger MA? Thanks.

There's probably a bit of synergy going on here. I try not to bring full support builds into my videos, but I also don't like to tell people how to set up their builds. The most notable thing will probably be the alliance fighters, the focused assault buff applies to everyone. You're always going to see lower numbers in advanced than elite. There's just more HP to go around, and therefore more DPS to be had. The Terran Task Force beam isn't bad, but for a forward facing build like this, the heavy cannon always seems to out perform it, even on a beam overload build like this. Even if I didn't have mixed armament I'd still be using the cannon.

Okay, I'll say it. Everyone wanting to do these parces at the same TFO. How about Hive Assault?

I don't know if anyone asked this yet but does the damage from the Temer raider's sniper trait affect the Lexington's torpedo console when you use it?

I haven't tested it yet but I would guess no. The Temer's trait is meant to effect actual torpedo weapons, the Lexington's console is just that, a console activation.

Agony Redistributor off the Adamant. They make it so it can't interact with anything with Recursive Shearing on it, which is what was making it so OP, but it's still a very powerful console.

How you handle boffs cooldowns? i dont see no longer Aux 2 bat builds and i just wonder how in current centaury we handle cooldowns.

These days I generally use Boimler Effect coupled with a Borg doff to handle my boff cooldowns. I prefer it because it frees up space in my engineering seating and duty officers.

When I go to get the Terran Task Force Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons from the TTF reputation (shown at 1:32) , it's a disruptor, not a phaser. Is this happening for anyone else? There is no option for a phaser version in the Terran Task Force reputation. In fact all the beams in the TTF reputation are disruptors, rather than phasers. Should I still get it or get something else instead for that slot or is this still an ideal weapon for this build?

The phaser version unlocks when you get the rep to T6

I used to use a GX when I first started playing and it just came out but I when it fist came out we used to have to use Beam consoles rather then Phaser because the lance did not trigger the phaser buff. Also does anyone still use plasmatic leach any more I know it was nerfed years ago.

I saw this video and just couldn’t help getting this ship for my beam overload I’m only at 90% of the load outs cause of the lobi trait ships

You probably answered this question but what legendary version is the better odyssey 10th command or 12th terran miracle worker 🤔

Depends on the build you're going for. The Lexington is better for energy weapon builds because it's a Miracle Worker, but the Legendary version is better for a torpedo build because it's a Command ship. Both ships could make decent tanks, but I like Command ships more for such a build. The Lexington is more maneuverable, if that matters to you. Both are really good ships, just depends on what you're trying to do with them. Also, only the 10th anniversary version is Legendary. The Terran ships, while being part of an anniversary bundle, are not Legendary so they won't come with any legacy consoles or traits like Legendary ships do.

Right click on the item and select Re-engineer. That allows you to re-roll the modifiers on the weapon. They're random, it will take multiple rolls. Don't forget to lock any mods you don't want rerolled. Re-engineering costs dilithium and salvage for every mod you roll.

Every playable race gets a unique species trait that can't be changed, except for alien characters. Since they can be pretty much anything, their species trait is just an additional personal trait slot, so they start with 10 and get an 11th with the elite captain upgrade token.

Hey Stu, thanks for the video. I just got the Lexington a few days ago and like it alot. Ok one of my fore weapon is a Mk XV Ultra rare Quantum phase beam array that only put's out 741.4 damage, I have all the consoles and skills and traits that boost beam weapons but in your video you show an Omni Directional beam weapon with a damage rating with 2,455 damage ( I also have that but only 759.8) Please tell me how you do that.

There are a number of factors that can effect the damage of a a weapon: various consoles, traits, gear mods, endeavors, etc. The damage displayed in your tooltip can also change based on what map you're on. A ground map will display a space weapons base damage, you'll have to be in space for it to tell you it's actual damage based on your skills.

@@Stu1701 I have all the same items as the ones in your build but my per weapon damage showing in the tooltip is significantly lower then yours. What would be the biggest factor that would impact this? For example : Your front agony beam is 2561 dps and mine is 1436 dps.

A lot of people have been calling this a budget Inquiry. The Inquiry's seating is a little better and has a 5/3 weapons layout, but the Lexington has some toys that the Inquiry doesn't, mainly a hangar bay and spinal lance. Personally, I like the Lexington more, but that's largely because I'm a huge fanboy for the Odyssey variants. The biggest upside to the Lexington is that it's a C-store ship, whereas the Inquiry is a promo ship. The overall dps potential of both ships is very similar to the point that its hardly worth mentioning.

Both are great as beam boats, it really just depends on what you want more. Inquiry has slightly better seating (in my opinion) and has a 5/3 weapons layout (which I really wish Lexington had), but Lexington is a dreadnought so I has a hangar bay and a spinal lance. Lexington also can use the Flagship Technologies console set, which has some really nice consoles in it like Flagship Tactical Computer, so if you have any of the older T6 Odysseys (or the Legendary) that'll available to use. There's also the difference of availability; Lexington is a C-store ship (which means it'll unlock on your whole account) while Inquiry is an Infinity Promo ship, making it much more difficult to obtain and it'll only unlock on a single character (unless you get it through a Mudd's bundle, but the Inquiry isn't currently available in one). It'd be hard to judge which is overall the better ship in terms of damage output because the ships are so similar (both being Miracle Worker Cruisers with a secondary Intel seat). Inquiry probably has a slight edge because of the reasons I stated above, but Lexington is more than capable of keeping up. If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Lexington. It's easier to get, has more toys to play with, and, in my opinion, it's better looking (though I am, admittedly, and fanboy of the Odyssey class).

I did not. I don't normally use the cloak console because a cloak (even a battle cloak) usually isn't worth taking up a whole console slot (from a DPS perspective). But I image a lot of people will be happy about that for the same of theme builds.

I switched out from the KDF TAC MW Cruiser to this. Already missing my cloak but the Lance and pets make up for it

I forgot about that one. It's not technically a Lance, but you're right that it still fits the theme. Though you need the full three piece, and I think I'd have to sacrifice too much to make room for it. Though it would be a good option for a budget build since that set is an episode reward.

@@Stu1701 I did a similar thing with my Gal-x. (Had to have as many versions of a lance ability on it as possible.) The sacrifice of overall DPS was noticable, but it was still fun to be able pop a couple of lances consecutively, without concern for cooldown. ... I do love this ship and, like you, enjoy running Flagship consoles with it.

Yes, very easily. It'd be pretty much the same as this, just swap in FaW III instead of BO, and Entwined Tactical Matrices instead of Superweapon Ingenuity.

Does the aft weapon NEED to be an Omni agony phaser? I got the ship with the T6 coupon and I want to get it set up free to play

It does not. In fact, the other Agony Phasers don't need to be Agony either if you don't want to. They're better than standard phasers, but the different procs is only going to make a very small difference in overall damage.

@@Stu1701 yeah, I know I’m a year late but I’m just returning. I got the 12th and 13th bundles. Setting up my Lex currently. I’m missing a lot of the goochy stuff. Like the DPRM, domino, immolating lance and some of the traits. I fill them in with what I do have, this is at least a good starting guide. Thanks.

@10:07 i dont have that skill for my engineer/miracle worker, can i get it ? or do i need to find another engineer with that kind of skill?

several of the max level boff abilities, like Narrow Sensor Bands III, need to be crafted. they can also be bought on the exchange.
