For new fans from the K/DA release, if you are wondering why it seems she has not a lot of subscribers, it is because she is from mainland China and the censorship for some internet searches can be strong, so the social medias are different. She has more fans in China than outside of China :) Do not worry, she has many on Weibo! Over 4 million there! Happy that she is gaining international fans now too! Edit: Some people seem to be misinterpreting my meaning, so I will try to explain. First, I am Chinese and have lived in mainland before. I also did not expect anyone to see this comment and so I did not elaborate on my meaning >.< The only thing I mean by saying censorship is that due to having limited KZread access in mainland, it means that mainland Chinese fans cannot subscribe to her KZread. Instead, they will follow to her Weibo, which is part of the reason that she has more fans there than in foreign countries. That is the only thing that I mean with saying 'censorship'. It should not carry a negative meaning! All countries have censorship, this form just means that her KZread will not have mainland Chinese fans as much. I just wanted to tell people that she has more fans in China than outside of there so that international fans do not feel like she has no fans :)

其實真的不難想像，就是把外國東西引進來再加點本土元素，但要有個骨架去撐起這一切，包括聲音、感覺、表演等等元素，lexie還真的是第一人，她的聲音我真的大愛，這種沉穩、沒有稜角、不躁的rap的聲音，在亞洲真難找到。

韩国是 外向 经济， 内部市场小， 中国 是内部 市场 巨大， 所以 很多艺人在国内赚大钱，不愿意出海。 英文 + 中文 ， 接着来一点 唱跳， 对于很多明星不是难事。 王嘉尔，张艺兴 等等 很多 明星 都可以。 只是 中国市场太大了 ，大到 这些艺人根本不用考虑海外市场。 哪天 中国的内部 竞争白热化，完全饱和，才会有更多的艺人被迫出海。。

Fyi, she once was scouted by YG himself but luckily she rejected the offer because she knew how dirty YG is .She's the realest artist . She left 88rising and used all her budget to make this mv. This mv was her only chance to rise back and luckily, she did ,plus the help from LOL she gained quite good recognition and I'm hoping she'll keep going big. @@xia2830 not being disrespectful or anything, but POPular music or pop is same everywhere. Pop song in America is maybe sung in English and Pop in china maybe sung in Mandarin. I am just telling my guy that it is not pop but hip-hop a different genre. Anywhere in the world, you can tell a hip-hop song apart by hearing few elements in it. "Stay" by Kid Laroi is pop, "A Song for you" by Hebe Tian is pop. can't say they are hip-hop. Hope you get what I'm tryna say 😀

My Chinese student sang this song today since we finished early in our class and she recommended me to listen to it and it was "WOW". 我是因为创造营而找到这来的，然后开始循环原唱。这个唱作和mv都太棒了吧！英文和文的词都好好啊，而且无缝衔接。随便举例，除了大火的那句「哼」，「这不是我的名字呢」里「呢」的断字同时也很绝啊。还很喜欢「reelin' me in with that thin line」。让人想到人鱼公主的故事里的人鱼上岸，承受了牺牲和痛苦去追求王子。但Manta被人类抓住之后并没有上钩，还是一条自由自在的水底王者，保有真我，自由飞翔。以前看了那么多说唱，以为国内rapper英文词汇量

I just discovered her a few weeks ago and oh my god she is so incredible and talented and her music videos, musicality and lyrics are absolutely genius i love her.

Lexie Liu was studying in an international school in China. As a rapper, she is the best person of mixing Chinese and English in her lyrics in China for now in my opinion. As for composing, most of her songs are cyberpunk, and some even called hers future music or modern music. Her style is so fantastic that it makes her very popular in young generation in China, however, this makes her harder to become more popular among those people who can't understand English very well. I hope she could write some songs only in one language to make her more popular. Her music and she really deserve it. BTW, she has another very popular song "Mulan" in another channel (kzread.info/dash/bejne/eISfyZiKntO1ibQ.html). I think her Mulan song is the best of all Mulan-related ones.

@@katiekay4516 I agree but in another way. I mean, she has a stunning voice, but for this them choosen for the song, autotune seems something that adds a sparkle at the song. It's "futuristic themed" so, even if I love her raw voice, I really like this song too for this particular.
