The original Beyonder was OP beyond OP. In the grand scheme of things, the original Beyonder was maybe up to the ankle of the Living Tribunal. Dr. Doom is one of the few characters from Marvel that I honestly feel you could pit against many of DC's upper pantheon and he would still win. He is just so insanely versatile and able to counter so much it's easy to see many situations where he would beat the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman.

Dooms final line is actually from the comics when he wielded TWO Infinity Gauntlets from alternate realities and created his own universe. In the end, he says this line to Valeria Richards, Reed Richard's kid (who Doom actually likes.) Nice to see that put in there.

Doom is glad they are not Kirby's.

It's a comparatively small achievement, but I love his confrontation with Purple Man in the comics. He doesnt just overcome his power - he takes off his mask (voluntarily neutralising his own defenses), stands face to face with Kilgrave, and basically tells him "Hit me with your best shot." Incidentally, he steps into the chamber with which he is not only containing Killgrave, but amplifying his powers to world-conquering levels. Doom doesnt even flinch.

I like that this fight didn’t even come down to strength or powerful abilities, just each side trying to outsmart their opponent with the tools they had

14:36 Figures the Lexbot would get some token shred of genuine (if backhanded) respect… Doom’s tinkered with and burned through so many Doombots that he should have an eye for quality regarding doppelgänger automatons by now. 16:14 Same thing with the mother box. Doom may have stolen from stronger entities repeatedly before, but he knows the box is as good a consolation prize as he’ll get after razing Lex’s assets to the ground. Plus that mother box isn’t going to put up half the fight to get that power back as a lot of his past victims would have, so there’s that too.

Two years later, I still cannot believe they said Lex's suit is better than Doom's. Doom's suit is actually magical. Lex's suit pushes the limits of physics while Doom's suit defies actual reality. Given enough time I think Lex actually might cook up a plan to trap Doom even if he couldn't ever kill him. But in a straight up fight, there's just no way Lex can win, not unless we're talking about super enhanced Lex vs early just a man Doom.

I think they went by more of a Physical standpoint. They said The Warsuit is just built to be stronger, tougher and faster then what Doom usually employs because Luthor has to contend with THE Superman, while Doom’s usual adversaries aren’t as all around extremely powerful as Superman. Not to mention he has that Motherbox as an almost infinite energy supply. Meanwhile several of Doom’s plots revolve around hijacking that kind of power from others in the first place (Hence why he created and eventually perfected his Cosmic Power Syphon). Regardless, Doom still wins because between his science and his magic and a general experience/practice advantage, he has a MUCH deeper bag of tricks to pull from, he knows everything in it well enough for maximum effect, and the Warsuit isn’t THAT far above Doom’s own armor that he can’t weather Luthors storm until an opening shows itself.

Lex Luthor always struck me as a schemer and in some versions of DC he is the most intelligent person in his universe, even seeing the source and the anti-life equation. Doom is obviously a genius of tech and magic, but has he shown Lex Luthor levels of genius? He just seems to act so foolish around the Fantastic Four, but maybe that's just plot like how the Fantastic Four defeat Galactus (which should be impossible without one of Reed Richard's super gadgets he makes way later on).

@@Tletna Doom is a much better schemer than Lex. He killed an entire race of gods that surpassed their own narrative and took their power, along with the several dozen other times he's done the same. He's waited 65 million years once just to get his revenge, molecularly changing himself so that even a man who could use Eternity, Galactus and Thanos as foot soldiers couldn't recognize him. He is a master in all things, hands down -- doesn't matter if its the Power Cosmic, the Quantum Realm, the divine or demonic, genetic, space, time, etc. By sheer knowledge, he is the smartest non omniscient person in the universe, bar none.

Remember: Doctor Doom is prepared. Just prepared. Not even he knows for what, just prepared.

I like how Lex uses Superman's super-move from Injustice 2. Superman has plenty of iconic moves, and Injustice 1 featured a heroic and a villainous Superman, but only the villainous one is playable in Injustice 2. So even when Lex is trying to be Superman, he emulates the worst possible version of him.

Reed didnt steal Dooms powers. Doom admitted Reed could have done a better job fixing the universe after it got wiped out right before he killed Reed. Molecule Man took that as confirmation that Reed should now have that power.

1:08 I really love how they cover the characters I just imagine the new Superman movie ending with Superman flying high towards the sky maybe with Louis to give her a view of metropolis and him thinking he’s at the highest point only to see a building covering the sun and it’s that big L building it would be a nice touch to let you know whose next

In the comics, Doom says that line AFTER losing to his own creation and getting locked in the cage until Reed and Valeria get to save him. He didn't GIVE UP godhood nor was it beneath him, he simply wasn't a God and was saving face for his fragile bitchasss ego

Doom is a match for Lex with Tech and Intellect, but his mastery of sorcery gives him a huge advantage.

Dr Doom is one of the deadliest and most dangerous beings in the Marvel multiverse for a good reason, the fight was insanely well animated too.

There are even 2 skrull gods that we occasionally see as well as Knull (and now Eddie) the god of the symbiotes, though I don't remember if the kree or other alien races have gods or if we see them.

Yeah Lex didn't think this one though. Which is not really his fault. DC is very strict in the Magic department. Constantine, Zatara, Detective Chimp, magic mostly stays contained with them. With Marvel its different magic doesn't stay contained within Strange it shows up frequently in X-men, Avengers and even Spiderman to a degree.

Doom isn't evil, just doing what's necessary. If he doesn't rule the world, it is fated to be burdened by inequality and oppression one way or another. Given Doom rules, he will save all of humanity, seeing as Bast, the Panther God of Wakanda, and Doom himself, have seen several hundred thousand futures -- and the only utopias were the ones were Doom ruled, and the only ones that Doom ruled were utopias. His heart is pure, and his intentions noble.

An egotist. A conqueror. Yes, he is the greatest at administration and is pretty successful at it as seen by his success Latveria... BUT only according to HIS ways. HIM. HIM only. Everything in his image. He harbors "good", but he is, in the end, a tyrant of self-willed intentions.

One of the best parts is how they have to keep explaining to the other one what they did, just to make SURE the other guys realizes that THEY'RE the smartest man in the room. Their mutual trash talk is almost better than the fight.

And Lex joins Captain Marvel, Hulk and Goku in the “I’ve never won a single Death Battle” Club. He’s taking Shadow’s place.

One of my favorite things to do is just list out Dr Doom's insane achievements and powers for my non-comic book reader friends. It's always so fun because the stuff he manages to do always just gets crazier and crazier

As a very very low Marvel “fan” (I watch some movies and see some of the more recent comics with characters I already know) I knew nothing about Dr Doom. Before this honestly I genuinely thought he was like a generic Spider-Man villain or something I didn’t know (I don’t do a lot of Spider-Man and his name sounds so stereotypical of an old classic supervillain name). Suprised me to hear people saying how badass he was, don’t know why people don’t hear about him more on the big screen. Don’t play Marvel v Capcom btw.

Thanos had to have won, the Infinity Gauntlet has multiversal, megaversal and even omniversal feats xd. Dardseik's real form is only multiversal+ as it is larger than the multiversal of the planetarium of worlds
