Wouldn't mind trading information - I'm trying to plan a NH trip with a SXS, looks like wider vehicles need to stay in northern parts. He's given you the primary web site and a great view of the ride areas. Yes - a LARGE majority of it is seasonal or gravel roads, there are small areas you can cut thru the woods on tight trails, but nothing huge technical. Nice area to catch some good scenery, and plenty of places to try out local eats. Been riding up there close to 13 years now. We will typically put on 100+ miles in a day. And quite a few places if you need to spend an overnight. Just watch for the speed demons. And while they want you using helmets, shocked at the number of SXS that pass with none. If you don't like crowds, watch weekends when they run poker runs or events. Can check local bars.

I'm game for joining along on any NE trips, NH or otherwise, either with SXS or ATV.

Does anyone actually pay for registration to ride the trails? Serious question. What about ATVs with no title?

I would think that locals would register for road use and if they use the trails it might be lesser usage than one would think., Gary rode and filmed it with Keith, who is a local, so I guess it depends on your preference on road vs trail. I believe enforcement is going to drive that if you're stopped to check for plate, registration.

Regarding no title, unsure if you can get registered without it. Is a salvage title an option for your situation? I've never had to do that with a machine. I know in NJ its next to impossible to work within the law. I had an ATV which was never registered as a 2nd owner since the original owner never registered in NJ. I couldn't register it, they didnt want the tax money or anything. Oh well.

I always pay the 3 day pass as I usually go up once a year. Last trip we did get pulled over and the officer did not check for the pass, but did check for registration and insurance (which we have). So just an FYI about the registration.

You will "mostly" be riding seasonal roads, technically you don't need the pass, but it helps to support area. The "cutoff' areas mentioned are "pass required" Technically - if your vehicle can not be registered - you provide them the VIN# and a copy of your insurance (thank you NYS for not letting us register over 1000lbs) But they do have a limit of 2000lbs for permits.
