my best friend just committed suicide well he did on April 27th his birthday he was only 12 and he's been there for me since we were both born and he was the only person I could truly trust he was the absolute nicest person ever but he had abusive parents and in quarantine, he just couldn't handle it and did the unthinkable now I'm here listening to all of his favourite song crying my eyes out which I haven't been able to cry in 5 years and it just feels so right and we called each other ying and yang cus were both the complete opposite but we fit perfectly together and i haven't told anyone about his death and its so fucking hard so instead of telling people that idk if i can trust why not spill it on the internet so if your reading this right now know you are loved dont ever think you arnt you are amazing no matter who calles you ugly or worthless your not you are amazing and the prettiest person ever and if people bully you gossip about you start rumors just go up to them and say you know how you bully me make me feel like shit well do you realise your only doing that cuz my life is just more interesting than yours so you revolving yours around me trying to make me feel like shit well its not gonna work. then point the middle finger at them or hair flip or whatever then strut away from them. also, I just wanna say Leo, you were the best friend anyone could have I didn't deserve your friendship and if you can see this right now just know I love you and you are amazing and I hope your in a better place right now R.I.P.

I have bottled all of my emotions for 5 years and I can't cry or else my parents will beat me so I'm here at my best friends who btw is the best person in the world and I would die for her and I'm at her house crying my fucking eyes out this is the first time if cried in 5 years and it feels strange but right

Ya know, I never comment on shit like this but wow this song, it hits differently for me and those words "Hits different" they dont even explain how this song makes me feel enough I just lost all my friends, I went from waking up everyday to having someone who wanted to talk to me to having noone, Now Im used to noone caring, but I guess when I met these people who actually cared It was so nice I never wanted to go back to the old days of having no-one, I decided to get into a relationship with someone, and they said "You're special" but I dont feel special, she ghosts me every other day for two days so yeah this song hits me in places I forgot I had, I mean I had gotten to the point where I forgot how to cry, this song reminded me. Thank you Mr. Capaldi for this work of art that has touched my heart and is helping me hold on.

I was listening to this song and singing along, my 8 year old daughter came down stairs and she started crying. She can’t understand the words but she was really feeling this song! It’s beautiful ❤️

Felt that! Honestly when you love someone so much and they leave you, you feel like you'll never be able to love again! And you cry every night and cant sleep while there sleeping and enjoying there night because they don't care that your hurt, they just care about there happiness, and you wish you was good enough and wish THEY CARED A LITTLE MORE! Chakitank Sharma yeah I get that ... if that is the case if u aren’t happy you need to leave the relationship. I know it’s gonna suck and it is hard to do and it’s easier said then done. But if u keep it up either you will end up extremely hurt or she will. And yeah it’s gonna suck for a while and you’ll want to go back but if you weren’t happy then why go back? I have to tell myself this often bc that’s what happened with my recent ex. I literally was having the same problem you are with him. Not feelings like he was there. So I tried to talk about it and he just got mad at me and started to ignore me and then started to just act differently and so I tried to talk again and it ended up I just broke up with him and it is totally ok to feel heartbroken breaking up with someone. I probably broke up with the actual love of my life ! But i know that God has me someone who can make me feel ten times better and ten times more happy. So honestly I was say pray about it and really listen to God. And then decide what you think u want to do. Wish ya the best and I’m so sorry to hear about the situation! 💔

This song reminds me off my grandma when she died. She was my best friend ever and supported me through everyday. She was always in pain but that never stopped her from smiling. And she died randomly the day after christmas last year. Some days I wish I could just wake her up and tell her how much she means to me.

I am ugly fat depressed self-conscious and have anxiety im only 12 and I haven't been able to cry for 5 years or I would get beaten everyone bullies me for being fat and covered in scars but that's from my parents the force-feed me and abuse me and my only friend that I could truly trust just committed suicide due to child abuse and my entire life I have to plaster on a fake smile and pretend everything is okay but it isn't I can't go to anyone cuz there's no one I can go to if I tell the counsellor of a teacher then they'll tell my parents and IDK if I can take any more I also have to cover my entire body in makeup before I have the courage to even leave the house and i try to do exersize but my parents wont let me they dont want me to have any mussels because then they think i will take them on I don't know what to do I'm stuck in a deep hole and also yes you are good enough to confront people you are an amazing person that truly cares about people and that's the best attribute ever I'm jealous I have no good attributes

My mom and I had an amazing relationship. Three years ago she killed herself while I was at school. I just waited for her but she never came. She didn't leave me a note. She left my dad a note saying to take care of me. My stepfather bad mouthed her and took most of her belongings. I moved into my dads house and was abused emotionally for 2 years. I got kicked out and moved in with my grandma. I have shattered self confidence and suffer from PTSD and depression. I also struggle to remember most of my childhood

I randomly started singing this song and I didn’t know where it came from.. so I looked up “Hold me while we wait” cause I didn’t know what the song was called.. and this song popped up and it was the exact same thing as what I was singing.. Lewis has a amazing voice.. he could sing about a broken shoe and I would cry.🥹
