Lewis Canvas VS. Wind Storm - Oklahoma City, OK - On April 12th at approximately 5:30 pm a wind storm that produced winds in excess of 60 mph removed the roof of our carport at Lewis Manufacturing factory. This type of damage is fairly common in Oklahoma especially in the spring time. Our WeatherTarp™ canvas enclosure protecting the entrance to our underground shelter held up and survived the storm quite well. We will rebuild the carport and use the same canvas to enclose the area. This tarp construction uses our Canvas Heat Sealed Welding technology that is stronger than sewing and is also waterproof.
