Estimado Freddy este joven es tenor ligero, no es dramático, su voz es pequeña pero clara y llega hasta el último rincón del teatro porque su voz “corre” Del Mónaco nunca canto esta aria, tenia una voz potente, pero llegaba con dificultad al Sí 4. Esta aria termina con un Re 5.

Gran mezzosoprano....le ponemos una faldita y ya queda 😂

Young oh You and I agree on one thing. Your ears require some medical attention. Your ears are not in good working order . This is a young developing Artist yes but definitely a vocally gifted young man with an agile and lovely voice.

I'm sorry but I think you gave in to the spectacular and the circus act. Bogdan Volkov was much better because he was a great artist. I do not have a bad impression on Levy but I think that in his repertoire he is not ready yet. It has abilities almost as impressive as those of Brownlee, it's undeniable, but it's like a show without soul, it's a series of notes that say nothing. You had the chance to hear a huge tenor in the peasant of Bogdan Volkov, it's a pity you did not really hear it ...

Thierry Russo Delattre I have not heard Bogdan Volkov sing this particular aria and would have to do so to compare his voice to Levy of course no two artist can be compared even singing the same music. I think both of these singers are exceptional and look forward to following the careers of both each has a beautiful instrument and good technique !

@@joemiller6975 It's not just a matter of instrument. What Levy does is sterile, it's a circus act that amuses the audience with its agility but there are no projects and artistic universes. Being an artist is something else, you have to have musicality, elegance, depth, the technique must serve art and beauty. Bogdan Volkov is a huge artist, he had to win. Excuse my english, I'm French !

@@thierryrussodelattre Artist have different temperaments,personalities and different ways of expressing emotion ,character and different ways of communicating with an audience. .Maria Callas interpolating her famous note into The Triumphal Scene was a circus Act much of exciting ,thrilling sing ing can be . You cannot hold one individual Artist up to the standards of a totally different Artist who has their own approach to performing and interpreting. You are being plain foolish in judging this young man by the performance style and interpretation of another being. Each Artist must be uniquely themselves. Levy is indeed unique and outstanding and extraordinary. He gives a delightful and thrilling performance and is an artist in his own right. Over time he will shine like a diamond. Mr. Volkov needs no championing he too is wonderfully gifted why must one be lesser for the other to be greater? They are just different and that is why I love Opera. Each truly great Artist is unique!

@@joemiller6975 I totally agree with you but you insinuate that they are not competing while competing. There is therefore a notion of selection according to objective artistic criteria. There is no question of disrespecting such talented artists it would be insulting but if it is a contest, I think the best must win and I think Volkov was better on irrefutable artistic criteria . I'm sorry for my english, I'm French...

@@thierryrussodelattre unfortunately Vocal Competitions are the means through which young singers are exposed and developed. How accurate and efficient a means these competitions are is debatable. I however do love hearing young Artist and find in the presentation of many of these singers admirable and worthy attributes. The winner however of the competition is not always the most outstanding or gifted artist they are just the artist the Judges favored. Mr. Volkov is a wonderful artist and worthy of first place but many lovely performances were given. I am sure there are many others who listened to this competition and have singers they preferred over Volkov. It is quite subjective who is the best or most artistic or more refined. As unfair as it may be even in Opera Sometimes it is merely luck more than talent that makes someone a star!
