Levon Helm, Ringo Starr and the 1989 All Starr Band "Up On Cripple Creek"

Музыка

A clip from the first All Starr Tour, with Levon Helm performing "Up On Cripple Creek" with Ringo Starr, Clarence Clemons, Rick Danko, Dr. John, Jim Keltner, Nils Lofgren, Bill Preston and Joe Walsh at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Of that first All Starr Band Ringo said "it was more of an orchestra than a band and the first time I would tour on my own. I called everyone I knew and they all said yes!"

Just came across this today. Wow. I was at this show. One of the greatest shows ever. Ringo lead a few songs, then everyone took a turn leading a song or two. Ringo closed out the first set and later the show with a few of his hits. I wish I could see the whole show on video. So many awesome tunes by this amazing line up.

I saw this band in Mansfield Massachusetts from the front row , three of my favorite drummers on one stage was a religious experience Ringo being the supreme deity and Levon and jim being saints , with the incredible cast of character’s Ringo assembled for the rest of the band Ive always thought he should have had a band that included Bonnie Rait and warren Zevon before he left us and one with Linda Ronstadt and Jackson brown before she’d lost her voice

Levon was the real deal…love his voice, love his drumming…a true American treasure…I had a cup of coffee & a slice of pie with him on an Autumn Saturday sitting at the counter at a diner in Woodstock in the early ‘90s (THE diner in Woodstock?) he was beyond friendly; we talked shop and was sincerely humble & appreciative when I complimented his work with The Band…a very cool 20 minutes; the guitar playing here is pretty damn groovy too (not to mention it’s always great to see Ringo drumming on someone else’s material)

Man that is one stacked lineup for the All Starr Band, probably the best I've ever seen. Not mentioned in the description also, Garth Hudson, one of the original band members alongside Rick and Levon. Amazing

@@debrayundt9732 Well then you should be further ashamed of yourself for making such an idiotic "joke" about one of Stratford's biggest success stories. The video is meant to showcase two members of The Band, but rather than comment on that, you chose to jump on the bandwagon of anti-Bieberism. Your comment had absolutely nothiing to do with acknowledging the "amazing talent" that Stratford has produced. Shame on you.
