So, you want us to install brackets on the glass window?

I just finished hanging 9 of these suckers. Here we go... measure over 4" from each end of the valance and 1.75" from the front of it, drill a small pilot hole. Use a nut driver to screw the hexagon screws into the valance, remove screws and hold valance at top of window in desired location. Use a pencil to mark holes and drill a small pilot hole in window frame. Use nut driver again to predrill the screws into window frame so that the Phillips heads don't strip out due to the hard wood. Place the shade brackets on valance with plastic tip facing towards the window. Now all that's left is snapping the shade into the brackets. Be patient, it took me a couple of shades before I got good at it. Your arms will feel the burn.

Thanks for the support. Your suggestion to turn the brackets with the plastic tip facing toward the window made it much easier to get first side hooked in.

OMG....I figured it out and figured I would pass it along, to help others avoid the same frustration. I lined the valence up with the window frame first and used a pencil to mark the location where the holes lined up on bottom of top window frame. The shades did not come with enough screws. I predrilled the 3 holes on the pencil marks. next I placed the valance up and screwed it in place with the center hole. then I placed the brackets plastic tab facing me on top of the valance and the predrilled holes and tightened so the tabs faced me. After securing snugly, i placed the shade by grabbing back of brackets with back rail rocking forward until it snapped in to place. Very easy to install when you get enough hardware and the proper instructions. Good luck.

Am I supposed to mount the mounting bracket to the glass on the window? Why does this fake window have a wood back where glass would normally be.

Makes no sense. Why did they not use an actual window for for the tutorial? On the first example I have glass where she is placing the brackets?

Can you install them on the part of the window sill that isnt glass, you know, because your example is not reality?

This does not say how to install for an outside mount. How do you do that?

Why are you installing it in a box? If you have an actual window you can not put the bracket there it has to go on the top of the window frame.

Fix the video and fix your manuals. Very poorly explained!!

Does anyone know how to remove them without breaking everything?! Argh!!
