Spiral bound book-as-board is one of the best recent advancements in boardgame technology.

The solid gameplay mixed with ease of play and ease of setup and tear down thanks to the scenario book (seriously, can we get more games that setup this easily) make this a winner!

I played Leviathan Wilds right after learning how to play Mage Knight for several rounds. Holy cow LW was a breath of fresh air on the setup and rules learning side!

This game is a 9.5 or even 10 for me. It's so great. The thematic ties with the mechanisms are through the roof, and the cooperation is also!

6:40 you don't fall all the way down when you're pushed. That only happens when you're out of grip.

When I got this finally delivered after backing it on KS I INSTANTLY put it on the table. So much fun

This game is absolutely amazing. Very clever and very well executed in all regards. I am already waiting for the expansion in the next campaign. Not that we need it, as the game already has enough content.

I backed this Day 1 because SotC is one of my favorite games. We had fun, but my friend didn't feel like the theme really worked. He felt like this could be a game about mining while you avoid earthquakes. Note: this was after the first leviathan.

I would recommend skulk hollow if you haven't tried it, I think it does the theme more justice. I haven't played this game, but in skulk hollow you can damage certain parts of the body and the Colossus can't use certain attacks anymore.

Yes it is sadly 😔. I think it could be 2v2 with expansion but basically yes it's a competitive game. I was just letting you know if it was the theme that you wanted, skulk hollow does it better 🤷

@@nerdyjawsh Yeah. Unless they make an AI mode, competitive was the thing that turned me away. The first edition of Claustrophobia had a Kaiju expansion that did the same thing.

Backed it, haven't played yet, but love how highly praised it is so far. Looking forward to busting it out soon!

The theme reminds me of the Shadow of the Colossus video game.

I don't love the built-in solo mode: it has too many exceptions, but it's still a fine solo mode. I found the two-handed solo mode "play as if you were two players" worked better and was more like the cooperative game.

One of my best board game pickups in ages. Definitely my best KS experience.

That is one impressive dashboard for the players. Wish more games had such a good player dashboard.

It takes 5 minutes to setup and tear down, plays quickly and can be crunchy if you bump up the difficulty/add mutations. I don't need more than that to love a game!
