No other brands make classic straight fit jeans as well as the LVC line. not a single japanese brand either. but they have very interesting fabrics. LVC still king of fits (vintage)

You forgot to mention that this is the "customized" version of the LVC 501 1966. It has a wider selvedge ID emulating the simple way they tapered pairs back in the day. Check out Marlon Brando's wide selvedge in the 1953 movie The Wild One.

why is the selvedge ID so wide my 1966 made in usa the the red selvedge part is alot less wide compared to the pair here

Nice, pity they are too long and pre faded. The honey comb pattern which should be behind knees are at your calves. Same with front knee fade is down at your shin.. nice jeans, fades don’t line up make ‘em look silly

This is not 501xx cuz xx means stf whose code is 0000. yours is just a cone denim 501 original

As someone who has been wearing Levi's 501s since the late 1960s and a collector with a lot of authentic vintage 501s, these reproductions don't make sense to me. The jeans have been ruined with machine fading and fake wear lines. In 1966 Levi's 501s were dark blue and you got a beautiful fade by doing it yourself. I do have a few LVC reproductions from the 1990s and they all came in original dark blue. I am giving these non-authentic Levi's a "don't buy" rating.

I guess this we're made for people who had no time to fade and doesn't wanna deal with uncomfortable raw fabric but wants a good quality selvedge pair of jeans.

@@benjaminjosephdelmo910 The beauty of original Levi's 501s is they look great when dark blue and they look great as they go through their many phases of fading. Getting them pre-faded is like buying the same car with 50,000 miles instead of new. When 501s have fake wear lines it is like getting a car with a fake convertible top. You can instantly tell. Quality raw denim is baby soft after the third wash. Raw denim was never intended to be worn unwashed. The people who wear raw denim without washing are doing it for self-punishment.

@@drwisdom1 You can't compare a jeans to car, you'll not experience issues on pre-faded jeans over raw denim unlike to used cars. As a person who lives in a country with average weather of 36 degrees no matter how many washed you do to raw levis 501 It will not give you comfort. unlike to pre-faded jeans with slightly ripped, it will make you throughout the day. I am also into collecting and wearing LVC, Momotaro, Bravestar, Pure Blue Japan and many selvedge jeans but sometimes I can't sacrifice my comfortability over those fadings.

@@benjaminjosephdelmo910 Vintage Levi's 501s used the very best cotton. After three washes they are as soft and comfortable as jeans can get. Pre-faded jeans aren't as comfortable because that process wears away the softness. After 2000 Levi's stopped using quality cotton and substituted cheap lightweight cotton that is rough on the skin. I won't even wear them because of their lack of comfort. If you don't like car analogies how about this: wearing pre-faded jeans is like wearing a toupee. You think you look better but we all see you are wearing a toupee.

Manoj, you are so far away from Levi's Strauss Jeans history and that makes your comment to get shut up in a decent sense which I don't mean to hurt you.
