Levenmouth Rail Link Full Trip - Eastbound

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Levenmouth Rail Link is a newly restored branch line starting at Thornton North Junction (on the Edinburgh - Dundee section of the East Coast Main Line) and running for six miles to the seaside town of Leven along with an intermediate park and ride station at Cameron Bridge. The first mile is single track with the remaining five mile section of double track. Speed is 45mph (30mph at Cameron Bridge) due to the curves as the line follows the River Leven to the sea.
We take a trip between Kirkcaldy (the station before the junction) to Leven and back sampling the delights of the high street and extensive beach with its stunning views along the coast to Lower Largo and across the Firth of Forth to North Berwick.
Passenger trains last ran to Leven in 1969 so this new line is a great asset to the community around Leven.
We visited Leven on Sunday 2nd June 2024, the public opening day of the restored branch line.
This video is in two parts covering the trip eastbound and westbound between Kirkcaldy and Leven.

Why do people keep saying ‘Train station’ - it’s a railway station. All these Americanisms drive me mad

Yes, you are right it should always be "railway station" in the UK. Sorry if that's what was said in the video, will watch out for it in the future.
