Hello I am in my final year of college (bachelors) and will be starting at Ford as a SWE (which I am grateful for considering the job market). However, in the past few weeks UI/UX has really peaked my interest. I think I have a natural aptitude for it (more than coding). How do I choose what should be my career? I am really confused :(

@@exaltitudesorry I meant piqued my interest. I have made a lot of side projects, launched apps on google play store and really liked the process of what to build and designing apps slightly more than coding. Ideally, I would want to do both product design (that is UI/UX) and SWE but very few companies have such roles and will be severely limiting my career opportunities

@@udayverma6120 thats good your exploring your interest. I usually advise people to take the job they get, especially in this economy, unless they can afford not to work. Once you get your foot in the door, you can continue to study UI/UX and try to get opportunities in that area. Landing a job does not mean you stop learning or you’re tied to the job forever. It’s much easier to explore opportunities when you have a solid income coming in every month.
