Every Archon, except maybe Venti, are off-field applicators with their skill. The pyro archos should be as well. We badly need a pyro offfield applicator other than Xiangling because all the other elements have more than one.

On genshin not having anything dark, I just wanna mention the Chasm, Enkanomiya, Tsurumi island, Serei island, old vanarana, & the withering zones. Especially with Enka and tsurumi i don't doubt that parts of natlan will be dark, just maybe not the parts that the main story focuses on

Lies and slander, guoba is the pyro archon. Bennett is the primordial one, he could have no element and he would still be crazy. Therefore he is above such things as elemental reactions.

Pyro archon just needs to be an off-field pyro applicator superior to Xiangling. However, a Bennett who isn't actually Bennett would be fantastic, too.

i think all 6 p*kemons are based on pyro 6 reactions; the lizard-mole is crystalize, the chicken-chameleon is burning and the shark-croc is vaporize... so technically they are all part fire

@@free_manipur_from_india It creates a fiery glow when it digs around. Although I think all of them have a little bit of fire, considering they're probably descendants of the pyro sovereign. The shark one can swim through lava and has markings that look like lava on its body, and the tip of the tongue of the green one also looks like lava
Level 100 would be such a good opportunity for balancing the game by giving every character one new passive trait. The characters that are already great could get minor buffs and the ones that are currently lacking behind could get bigger ones.

There is a rumor that physical damage will make a comeback. They are thinking of enemies that are immune to all elements but take extra damage from physical attacks. And, while they won't take damage from reactions, the superconduct debuff will still apply.

I think itll comeback since snez is a year+ away and cryo IS phys based. theyve been neglecting my eula for far too long
Rather than short field time or dual dps teams, what if the mechanic is specifically based around swapping characters? Like an artifact set that ramps in power every time you swap characters, up to a max. Or characters like Candace who deal damage every time you swap. Or characters like Chiori who automatically swap with their abilities. It would still basically require a short amount of field time to function, so dual-dps teams will be the most effective way to benefit, but I think quick-swap teams could also work with this style of game design. If the Pyro Archon's abilities are like a super Candace and she creates a explosion every time you swap, that would allow her to fulfill the Xiangling role as off-field AoE Pyro app without entirely overtaking her niche. And if her buff is larger than Bennett's but requires swapping to ramp up, it would still give him a niche in teams that want long field times. Xiangling & Bennett will still be there for some characters, but will become niche supports for on-field carries & drivers who need them, while teams that can fit into Pyro Archon's rotation will prefer her instead.

I heard version X.5 Characters tease what the new Nation's combat mechanics are, or sort of where they are ahead of their own patches and seems weak in those current patches but in the future they get exponentially strong because of the new introduced mechanics 1.5 [Eula] She was one of the first characters who could nuke so high with her burst and that meant she needed a lot of energy After 2.0 the meta became Elemental Bursts and Energy, so this was in tie with Eula whose best support became Raiden because of her Electro application, energy restoration, and burst synergy 2.5 [Yae Miko] She was hyped up a lot but when she came out people felt that she was lackluster, but this is just because Electro doesn't😅 have good scalings and relies on transformative reactions like Electro-charged. But when dendro came out in Sumeru that changed it entirely with aggravate and spread. So electro characters who had bad scalings like Keqing finally got to shine because they got an elemental reaction that could amplify their attacks which is the same with Yae because she actually has had Elemental Mastery built in her kit waaay before Sumeru was even released. Which hinted at EM being a core feature in patches 3.X 3.5 [Dehya] Arguably one of the most problematic characters so much so that Fontaine's new mechanic of HP fluctuations or HP change couldn't even save her when she has that mechanic built into her kit This is because Hoyo really intentionally messed her up to have so many problems and probably only made her character to be another Qiqi you'd lose to a 50/50 and making it harder to get the better Standard 5 Star characters like Tighnari or Mona 4.5 [Chiori] Now we get to Chiori where she seems like Albedo 2.0 but she provides a lot more a little bit more, where it is faster to quick swap with her using her elemental skill to immediately switch to the next active character and giving them buffs tied to Chiori where when they attack she does more Geo-coordinated attacks This is probably going to be the same for Natlan because they are the Nation of War, my take is that they will be more heavily invested in battle especially the characters and would want for rotations to be more prominent which is switching different characters out and attacking using their abilities with them which could be a core mechanic of the new meta Each X.5 version so far has hinted to a core mechanic for the nation that will be introduced sooner or later Eula - Elemental Burst and Energy Yae - Elemental Reactions Dehya - HP Fluctuations Chiori - Quick Swap I've already saw someone point this out so I'm not the first one to say it

I'd also add that it's thinkable to insta-recharge the burst (but not its downtime) of a swapped character, either via a 4pc artefact set or hidden in a pyro archons' constelation or passive.

It's now just a permanent switch between the characters. That bothers me a lot. I want to fight with my characters and not with my controller buttons. I have such absurd fun in WuWa. Although there are no elementary reactions there in that sense. It just makes it so much more fun because you can actually play your characters on the field. And I don't have to start something first, they hit it hard as soon as they come on. I would like that in Genshin too.

Yeah idk why it's so hard to conceive of a new world level with 100 level enemies and big drops and makes the final final ascension a breeze for endgame players. Because, hey, people also complain about the grind for leveling characters. If the rewards were more abundant, and characters got a new passive for 100, then people would feel more motivated to build characters they never touched before, no? I see it as more likely than not

@@jackreacher7495 No it'd definitely be good for the game, especially like you put it: more resources meaning more characters are gonna be built but this much change just seems unlikely. Whatever the case is, they're absolutely not gonna introduce new passives even if they introduce level 100. Significantly changing characters AFTER they've been released could in some cases go as far as being illegal since they're a gacha game.

@@nathanielmorey2800 it doesn't, it's more flavor. They won't be so huge of buffs. And what you mentioned is actually more in our favor, because we're told specifically that no level will go past 15. And a new ascension will make that maximum possible
I imagine that the Pyro Archon will be a fusion of Bennett, Xiangling and Diluc: - Buffs for the entire team - Off-Field DPS - Potential for Hypercarry for those who want to make her the main DPS. And as the tendency is for one Archon to be more broken than the previous one, I don't doubt that she will be the best character in the game

Looking at it, the system seems set up for a tier up at a critical point in the story. WL10 LV100 characters LV100 weapons LV12 (base) talents for a total of 15 with constellation upgrades. The highest ascension currently doesn't even have a standard banner wish attached. There is room for a gold XP material. Genshin's development team are saying we're currently at about a third of the planned story, but we're halfway through the Teyvat story chapter preview. I think in A dream yet to be dreamed, or maybe everwinter without mercy, a major story turn is happening that will unlock the final ascension tier, maybe with a fancy new name, and a special mat cost. I think Natlan is too soon though. Separately, i hope these creatures we get to play are full party members we get to keep.
For the Pyro Archon I also feel a Bennett upgrade, because archons' kits reflect the respective elemental resonance (besides Venti): Zhongli is a shielder with Geo res buffing shield strength, Furina is an HP related buffer with hydro res buffing HP and so on. So an ATK buffer or an ATK-related buffer with the pyro res buffing ATK sounds on point

Sub DPS is a niche that no pyro character has really properly filled up to this point other than Xiangling, I could see pyro archon as potentially being designed as a sub DPS whose ability triggers as a followup to attacks. It would be interesting if they did something really wild with her kit, like making her a set play character or something where she lays down something like totems and can remotely trigger them to do something with another cast of the skill. Probably not going to happen because it would be a pretty massive departure from their typical design, but it would still be cool.

I'm predicting a mini elemental gimmick based on self-infusion due to the Talking Stick battle pass weapon. (It has a Natlan lore dump in its full item description.) It could be some minor buff if you self-infused, or maybe some Natlan enemies will get debuffed if you run into them while infused with an element.

I'm imagining Murata as an atk + talent lvl buffer (imagine Childe's passive but it buffs skill and burst) and an off-field DPS presence similar to Xingqiu, but with slower, and bigger pyro blades that hit harder.

Each region's "gimmick" (Starting from Inazuma because that's when the game had actually started tbh) was based off of the element's attributes. Electro is the element of energy, so every single character had high energy cost burst and we had sets based around energy regen and energy reduction, the archon mitigated the energy problem and also benefitted from high energy cost. Sumeru introduced Dendro and it's many reactions, and Nahida is obviously the end-all be-all Dendro applier which benefits from Dendro-reactions herself and buffs everybody's EM. Hydro oftentimes scales with HP, and is related to the HP main stat overall, and Furina controls HP fluctuations, we got BoL + Marchausse hunter set as well accordingly. Pyro's main stat had always been ATK, while Cryo's been Crit. Yet I cant help but wonder what sort of gimmick can you base around the ATK stat as it seems like the most "basic" thing. I can see Cryo being debuff meta tho.
15:07 - Don't tease me with Varka -- I have been waiting for his release in the game for *so long* HOYO when is he coming out?!! T^T I am one of those ppl who does not like playing Bennett and no I am super curious as to where they are gonna take the characters in Natlan and which element will get buffed/get folded into the meta as well. The region has been shrouded in mystery for so long, I am just excited we are finally able to even talk about it.
I don't think Natlan's gimmick will revolve around dps with short on-field time but rather continue and work around bond of Life characters since Natlan itself has a thing about life and resurrection already.
On top of double dps in Natlan, i think that we’ll also get BoL support and support for mono elemental teams. (Also imagine if these 2 dps teams really become meta and we get stuff like Clorinde and Alhaitham teams, which tbh is possible since both are "quick swap" friendly enough to share a team if the supports can support them both equally and well enough)
For the Pyro Archon, I could see the Skill being a Pyro version of Raiden's Skill except it's like a pillar of flame rising up from under an enemy in an AoE, for guaranteed Burgeons and whatnot. The Burst will probably be where all the good stuff is. I'm talkin' a Talent Dmg% increase so the Pyro Archon can be universal like Furina's Dmg%, Nahida's EM share, Zhongli's omnishred/unbreakable shield, Raiden's ability to battery, Venti's CC and so on. Talent Dmg% will work for everyone like Furina's Dmg% without stepping on Furina's toes or even the assumed Cryo Archon's Crit% role. Additionally, you might see a party-wide heal and either Regen or Interruption Resist, and something like Jean's/Bennett's Cleanse effect but better, like during the Archon's Burst, active characters are infused with Pyro that cannot be removed for the Burst duration, cannot react to other elements, and perhaps that Pyro infusion is what grants you the Regen or IR, probably the prior.
As you mentioned self pyro application inside Bennett buff. This enables a lot of double swirl setups, even though sometimes enemies may trigger reactions on you. Few predictions we can make from looking at the previous Archons: 1. Skill will have long duration low CD. Applies pyro off- field with an ICD. This will make burning great together with Nahida 's skill. So hydro characters can vape consistently without tricky setups. 2. Her burst probably provides buff in some form to the active character maybe increasing pyro related reaction DMG. In short it will probably be a combination of Bennett and XL without exactly powercreeping them as is the trend with Hoyo. Xingqiu Yelan core is still OP even after Fontaine. The only unfortunate powercreep instance in Fontaine that I can think of is Ayato. But atleast he has off field application and Neuvi doesn't, even through people hardly use him for that.
With the pokemon/monster vibe from that trailer maybe the archon summons a monster that buffs you and does damage, like furina's

Regarding Dehya, I feel like the Bond of Life mechanic was supposed to come out earlier in the version (which would be supported by the Nostradamus dreams of Clorinde needing Apep boss drops) so she might have been intended as an alternate damage mitigation option for those characters
I think Natlan will buff Burn/Melt/Vape emphasizing on a lot of semi-quick swap team comps. The main reason is that they are a simplistic society engaged in perpetual war, which means they (and the dev team) will go back to the basics. By that, I mean the basic reactions and the first series of characters. I predict Snezhnaya will be the one to buff Geo and Cryo with freeze, shatter, and superconduct. I agree on the archon being a Bennett and Xiangling fusion of some sort. Both were deemed worthy of being an archon due to their functionality. Since the game is powercreeping older characters, it makes sense that they would try doing this with the 2 oldest pyro characters.
I'd love to see the "Dual DPS" at play with effe ts similar to TTOD - where switching gives the oncoming character a buff for like 10 seconds or whatever. Or maybe when they switch out, theres AOE elemental damage in their wake, like an alternate sprint ending or someting. (Please genshin, more alternaye sprint characters i beg of you) It would definitely allow for more interesting rotation mechanics! There could also be an artifact set that works with it, where if a character gets a switch-in buff, the buff itself is increased or gets an additinal bonus with the 4 pc set. That way having two dps characters meant to swap in, use skill / attacks, then swap out to give their partner a buff so they can do the same seems like fun!

I think that Natlan's gimmick as the nation of war, revolves around "swords and shields" which are the traditional armaments of war. Because Geo is the shield element, I don't suspect the "shields" will be actual shields. Rather, I believe they will use damage reduction (or absorption/reflection) or maybe even a new armor mechanic. I believe the Pyro archon will use a this Damage Reduction or Armor representing her nation's defense. I believe this would be very similar to a Pyro Beidou Ult meets Bennet buff for attack %. Her other ability would be a form of off-field pyro application in either a Pyro Yelan or Xiangling form.
Imagune the pyro archon gives different buffs based on how long/how many hits they make on field. So it can fit into the theme of dual dps as well

One thing that I've considered about a Natlan mechanic 'gimic' would be Tribes. It may be a smaller feature or like an elemental resonance. Because what if Hoyo introduce a team combination bonus like if you have 2 characters from 'X' tribe in your party then you get 'A' percent attack bonus. If you have 2 from 'Y' tribe, your team will receive 'B' percent defence bonus/interruption resistance. Then maybe the pyro archon could give multiple of these buffs or enable more buffs like if you have at least 1 character from 'X' and 'Y' tribe, you get a crit bonus for your team. This is just speculation, and something I think much like with the pattern on HP manipulation was for Fontaine, this could be its own mini meta for Natlan characters that could make them strong as well as give buffs to existing characters when mixed with the new characters.

Sounds like a very P2W gimmick... even if P2W isn't really a thing in Genshin. They'd have to make it as worthless as Ousia/Pnuema.

@@DizY_8 Fair, I mean yeah it could be but at the same time I'm sure Hoyo would be able to balance it so that it wouldn't be. Plus P2W doesn't really exist in Genshin anyway as it isn't a PVP game. Characters can be very powerful at c0 so there is no need for extra cons unless someone likes the character enough or wants to vertically progress them but cons aren't necessary to clear content. Furina and Neuvi are very powerful units, perhaps the most powerful that Hoyo have released so far in Genshin, they also have great cons so would you consider them P2W? Anyway, I could see Natlan characters with the idea I had in mind being balanced so that like mentioned in this video, could be their own sort of meta but also be balanced with being an alternative/side-grade to other metas without having to be P2W or outclass other metas. Even then, it's natural for some sort of powercreep or powerful meta to be introduced like Hoyo isn't afraid to introduce dendro and its reactions, Furina, Neuvi etc that increase the min and max damage potential in the game.
only recently got my beloved heizou to his final ascension because of how many onikabuto he needed. and i will actually cry if he needs more. i thought i was past it😭
It would be so awesome if you could link the dual dps and their kits fit into the others through passives
I think that the pyro archon is gonna be a main dps because pyro is the element with the most main dps, and Varka is gonna be a dendro unit because Mondstat still has no dendro unit

Hey Jello if we get a 5th teammate slot in the game. what do you think could happen? could it make some huge buffs to some teams and make new ideas of teambuilding but at the sametime it might lead to huge brokeness which can lead to balance issues and that can be a problem? examples such as -Alhaitham/Cyno+Baizhu/Yaoyao+Nahida+Furina+Raiden/Kuki -HuTao+Furina+Yelan+Xingqiu+Xianyun/Jean or HuTao+Furina+Yelan/XQ+Any teamwide Healer+Kazuha. though problem i see with the 2nd team is that feels so overloaded with damage bonuses -Neuvillette+Zhongli/Baizhu+Furina+Kazuha+Fischl/Beidou/Yae/XL or Neuvillette/Dehya+Nahida/Baizhu+Kazuha+Furina -Kokomi/Ayato+XQ+Yelan+Furina+Kazuha/Xianyun/Jean -Wrio+Baizhu+Thoma+Nahida+Furina -Xiao+Bennett+Xianyun+Furina+Faruzan -Wanderer+Bennett+Faruzan+Furina+Yunjin/Thoma/ZL/Layla/Mika The list is endless
Maybe Natlan's gimmick revolves around applying elements on yourself? Currently the only weapon taking advantage of that is the Talking Stick (BP Weapon) and the lore of the weapon "coincidentally" is about Natlan and characters like Tenoch. So maybe applying elements on yourself or even triggering elemental reactions will give you buffs. Maybe even an artifact set similar to Marachusse in regards to being the regional gimmick.
I think youre underestimating the impact of the Imaginarium Theatre. I think theres a possibility theyd introduce a new tier of exp books or make resources more abundant to persuade people to build and pull on more types of characters to be viable for the new mode. I think they care more about making money than any supposed balance state.

For the mounts/lil buddies. I suspected it will function similar to how Sorush did. Where we essentially get a device for each type, and can 'turn into them' for a certain distance or something. Primarily for puzzles/challenges and exploration stuff. Think Sorush may have been a test run for the mechanics. For the regional gemic. I feel it will focus more on the atk stat. Each of the elements are closely connect to certain stats and/or gameplay styles. So far anemo with crowd control, geo with sheilds and def, electro with energy recharge, dendro with elementary mastery, and hydro with hp. Wouldn't be suprised if Natlan had focus on atk, or something with buffing dps damage. Not sure if making sense. For the Pyro Archon. Honestly in the group that would prefer them to not be 'Bennet 2.0' or something like that. Hoping the Pyro Archon is an on field dps more then a support unit. And I say this as someone who loves support units. They're my favorite to play. I don't know. At the end of the day though we'll have to wait and see. Personally very hyped for Natlan. Think region looks great. The MesoAmerican influences make my Latino heart very happy haha

Predictions: - There will not be a level 100, or a new ascension or anything. Jello made some good arguments against the idea, but another that he didn't mention is that you'd need a ridiculous number of crowns to level a character's talents to 12. If they want to add a new passive, they should just add a passive to ascension 6 (though I don't think that will happen either). - The combat gimmick will be using energy as a resource (like Sethos). It's pretty easy to imagine how they could design a bunch of characters, artifact sets, and weapons around energy being spent on more than just the burst. My second guess for the combat gimmick would be cooldown reduction, just because I think that could be fun, and that could be kind of similar to what Jello was saying. - I think we'll see a burgeon character and a burning character. - 4.0 artifact 1 4pc: something to do with the main combat gimmick. Probably something like a Marechaussee Hunter for energy. - 4.0 artifact 2 4pc: something to do with dashing or stamina usage or possibly cooldown reduction or maybe even swapping characters?? Hoyo likes to have very versatile artifacts in X.0. Emblem was for bursts. Gilded Dreams was for reactions. Golden Troupe was for elemental skills. Unfortunately it's kind of hard to see what's left at this point. - 4.3 artifact 1 4pc: plunge damage buff (yearly Xiao buff incoming) - 4.3 artifact 2 4pc: something for physical teams (unlikely but it's hard to predict this far out, and X.3 artifacts tend to be useful on a small handful of characters, much like physical). Another good guess would be something to do with geo constructs. - 4.6 artifacts: impossible to predict. Typically X.6 artifacts are useful on only 1 or 2 characters, often new characters.

I think it would be very cool if they implement some kind of new materials you can obtain, just like you said, that enhances the character if you use them. And it would be even cooler if the way to get those materials would be fighting in a new combat content that comes out alongside with Natlan, and it is not actually a domain kind of stuff, rather it is a combat in the open world. For example, since Natlan is country of war, and I heared there is many tribes, so if they introduce open world warfare structure where each tribes fight each other and you can join one of them or do some kind of mission and receive the reward.
Given that Natlan's theme is war and pyro, I could see a big PHY DMG buff incoming (perhaps resurrecting and expanding the Eula meta?).
Instead of just buffing attack, I’d love to see pyro boost the on field characters main stat

keyboard mouse is optimal but I find controller more comfortable I have to try gyro for nahida and charge shot sometime to see how that works as right now that’s the biggest downside. But it’s still fine
Honestly, I just want a new mechanic that somehow makes Dehya a more viable character. The only team I have actually found her to be good on is a c0 Neuvi team w/ Furina. Her E skill lasts through an entire rotation at c2, you can get a vape every few seconds for Neuvi stacks, and you get interruption resistance with damage reduction (that then damages Dehya). Also, if you let her get slapped around a bit, you can cause her to get a 20% instant with additional over time healing when you hit 40% HP, adding Furina stacks (I do this instead of an i-frame or dodge when I swap her in to use her skill if it works with whatever I am fighting). Using Dehya + Jean on this team I can have full fanfare by Neuvi's first charge attack. But that is the only team that it feels like she was designed for. I am hoping Natlan helps fix some of this, like how Kuki was kinda pointless until Sumeru with dendro and then became meta. I am entirely on board with the hope that they will make old characters more viable (like making Yoimiya better) but yeah, I agree that will probably not be the focus.
also about the pyro archon, i think he'll have lots of pyro app that makes it impossible to use vape/melt in pyro teams, making burn/overload more meta since youd get more out of those reactions. i think chevreuse is hinting at this: shes often used with bennett but bennetts healing is kind of redundant with chevreuse and his pyro application is more harmful to your survivability. perhaps chevreuse is made to take bennetts spot once the pyro archon comes. i think its possible the pyro archon could buff childe, i can imagine childe being the only hydro with enough hydro app to run both xiangling and the pyro archon together and vaping both of their hits
I really like your idea with third passive, it sounds great but maybe it just needs too much work to be true
I just really hope that they let us use the mounts outside of the Natlan region - I might actually explore the map.
Aloy's third passive is gonna be godly trust Also for the pyro archon: we never had a fully deticated dps archon and considering the pyro archon is the archon of war, her being a really powerfull on-field dps would be cool
abyss has 100 level for some reason and many more over world boss and enemies are already in the 92 level so 100 level character will only increase the other things as well
what I'm looking for are not new combat mechanics, but over world mechanics. I would like to see a proper temperature system in Natlan. We more or less have coldness in Dragonspine, but it's quite lame. In Natlan, they should add heat. I want Natlan to have a vulcano and lava rivers, but I want it to be dangerous.
I think Bond of Life will be a big gimmick in Natlan, it kinda fits with a pyro and war theme imo.
I'd love to see a final ascension for the characters that also requires max friendship. That way, the friendship bar wuld finally mean more than just a namecard style. "2 on field DPS is somthing Genshin hs never done before" I think I'll hide with my Hyperbloom team having 2 possible drivers. Edit: I also heard that some leaker said that the pyro archon's kit has similarities to both Bennett and Xiangling, hoever I'm not sure how trustworthy that supposed leak was. It might have just been an a$$pull that someone tried to sell as a leak, but if it was real, than the pyro archon is gonna be EPIC. Seeing cryo related reactions getting an update would also be nice, as they're left out of the dendro train.
2:57 they could also add a four star adventure experience. I think it’s weird that they have limited time characters. Like, I get it. They get off on creating FOMO because they get paid for it. But because they have that system new players have missed out on a bunch of amazing characters.
Any thoughts on the Sethos's mechanic of consuming energy to buff thier kit continuing into Natlan??
I have been thinking since the beginning of Fontaine that the gimmick (or at least one of the gimmicks) of Natlan might be self-application of elements. Like with Bennett and Jean etc. As it is, it is kinda just a nuisance most of the time. But one thing i saw in Fontaine that gave me pause was the BP weapon the Talking Stick, which gives buffs when you are applied an element. Super niche. But this may have been setup for when we get to Natlan? In this case I would suspect the characters apply elements to themselves and then get some sort of buff or ability from them or even for the whole team. Or they get a buff when anyone applies an element so that older units that self-apply could have an interaction.
My thoughts on the pyro character situation for Natlan is that we will get three five stars, first the melee pyro catalyst (This is the vibe Iansan gives me based purely on appearance). Second the Better Xiangliang (probably the pyro archon) and third Bennett with no circle (Maybe Xbalanque). But I definitely agree that they could role consolidate Bennett + Xiangliang (since this is the principal behind Furina) into the archon leaving a different role of Xbalanque.
I'd totally agree with a possible new lvl 90 talent, imagine if Venti's new talent was the ability to pull heavier enemies with his burst or if Zhongli had a bigger resistence shred with his shield, there would be a lot of room for actually balancing the game
Could they add gold EXP once you're at the last World level, so it would be less crazy, not only to reach 90 but also level 100? Or do you see problems with that, making it not a good option? I couldn't believe Genshin would ever touch the resin cap or add more end game modes, but here it is happening in 4.7, so level 100 doesn't sound as impossible suddenly. The idea of a special material to unlock that last ascension from 90 to 100 is interesting. Like crowns, have it be an event reward kinda sounds good to me... For the gimmick... I'm not sure if the field time would work. It feels hard for them to make sure players would follow that. But thinking about the Talking Stick that had Natlan lore, I think maybe they could introduced DMG boost depending on the elemental aura n your characters. It's something previous characters had, like Wanderer gets some bonuses, but also because we already have characters from before that applies aura. Genshin likes to use parts of what they already introduced. Plus, with burning, it happens often to get a pyro aura on yourself, for the pyro region, I feel like they'll want to use that. It could finally explain why so many pyro characters have shields, healing and other survivability mechanics. Something I found a bit odd for a element that had so many DPS and offensive attributes. Which leads me to believe the pyro archon could have crazy boosting and aura application. Both for the player and the enemies. Because we really need off field pyro application, if the pyro archon doesn't have it, I have no hope left. Interesting alternative to think about though, is the pyro sovereign having a human form, and so, be playable. He could offer any of those things then. All in all though, I agree with a kit that is kinda a mix of Bennett and Xiangling. These two are supper strong but they take 2 slots in your team. The pyro archon would only take 1 and that would be amazing, even with less damage. Exploration-wise, with the current event NPC mentioning rock climbing, and seeing in the trailer how we have very big elevation differences, It's possible we'l get mechanics to allow quick climbing. And last, an obvious one is places that would be the pyro equivalent of Dragonspine. I'm sure in order to prepare for the last region, and seeing how cryo has fallen off a bit, Natlan may revive the melt meta and possibly, finally gives us new and better options for reverse melt. Meaning Ayaka and Ganyu could make a bit of a come back. They've been a bit neglected lately. Also... Layla. I think people will LOVE Layla in Natlan.
I hope pyro archon is Bennet plus Xiangling so that one character can be saved. I would expect some of Natlan’s mechanics to involve explosion and/or DoT, both requires short on-field time but needs two characters to do it - one to apply DoT, another to trigger. We already have Charlotte applying Cryo DoT, Navia applying Geo DoT and burning reaction is a DoT too.

I honestly think the Pyro Archon is going to be a On Field DPS like Raiden is. Bennett + Dehya + Diluc = Pyro Archon Goddess of Fire and War after all. My Thoughts… Weapon: Claymore Skill: Self Pyro Infusion Burst: Off Field Pyro Application ( like Dehya’s skill ) that also gives a DMG Boost. Passive Talent 1: Interruption Resistance for whole team Passive Talent 2: Defense Boost / Damage Reduction for whole team. When she is on the field her flaming spirit burns through enemies. While off field her burst applies pyro to the field + a DMG Boost. Her Warrior Spirit ( talent 1 ) grants Interruption Resistance to the whole team and Her Warrior Strength ( talent 2 ) grants a Defense Boost / Damage Reduction to the whole team. A kit like this would also give Her plenty of options of How to build her. 4pc Gladiator 4pc Crimson Witch ( most 2pc combos ) With plenty of Weapons options like, for example… Bloodstained Greatsword ( 3 Star R5 ) Prototype Rancor ( 4 Star Craftable ) Fontaine Craftable ( 4 Star ) + Healer Summaru Craftable ( 4 Star ) Dendro Team Sacrificial Greatsword ( 4 Star ) Favonius Greatsword ( 4 Star ) Navia’s Axe ( 5 Star ) + Geo support Itto’s Sword ( 5 Star ) Diluc’s Sword ( 5 Star )

I would love to see a “superheated” buff for pyro and geo! Maybe it could buff physical damage or break shields much faster?
my theory is that the pyro archon will do something to make ATK% (not total ATK) just as relevant as DMG bonus or crit. maybe they could make a new artifact set that's sort of like Emblem but it buffs damage based on how much ATK% you have. and more importantly, it could make high ATK% weapons more viable. this is mostly because pyro resonance is a buff to ATK%, and I also feel like the game nowadays is more focused on DMG bonus buffs and crit ratios that ATK is becoming more of a "useless" stat.
Can't wait for the pokemon's world quest that is 10x as long as aranara quest chain.
I think pyro archon might have one of these two archon templates: 1. Crazy elemental application with slight team buffing (like Nahida) 2. Crazy team buff with slightly less consistent elemental application as compared to previous units (like Furina) However if it follows Nahida’s template, I do think it will be too OP as pyro can be easily be abused to deal too much damage. All in all, I hope the pyro archon will be at least on par with Furina even at lower constellations.

The resources problem you said about level 100 and whatnot is easily fixed by simply leveling our wolrd level from current 8 to 9 or even 10. So more drops from mobs... The only thing missing here is the BOOKs, but those could become more frequent or just "what it is" as this IS the endgame. Like no levels past that so we should expect to cost high reaching that level.
Seeing the trailer I got Monster Hunter Stories vibes. I love DQ and MH, and MHS was a very excellent pokemon like game with a volcano region that look like the one from Natlan. Meaning : I'm thrill to play in Natlan ! 5.0 look great :)
I really wish, that sometime you can level your characters without books, because whats the deal with battle xp? I tried to level up a new pulled character from 1 to 20 to the first asccention and it would took me months. So I had to break up, because having a team with only 2 or 3 usable chars is sometimes really stressful and not fun. I also level up my characters only to 87 and its around 2 years ago I have leveled up Bennett to this. I use him in almost every team and until now I got a half level on top from battles, events and everything else...
Mounts probably like waverider but for lands i think its bound on natlan only otherwise would be pretty nice
i'm more excited for the new exploration mechanic.
I think instead of a lvl 100 feature there should be a boss for each tribe that drops an item specific to that tribe that increases a specific stat like em atk% crit dmg/rate HP and adds an a extra passive to the character
Some people say Natlan's gimmick will be the bond of life but sounds weird that an element focused on attack has something to do with HP which is hydro, but who knows!

Jello: Dual DPS will be the new gimmick. Me: eying my team for the Whale with Alhaitham and Neuvillette - I guess... not advisable huh. (Alhaitham is my main for the whale portions while Neuvi is my main for the whale's immune system.)
