I started a loc journey, combed them out, cut my hair into a short bob (cheek length…a tapered cut when curly) and I just embraced it. This yr was a lot for a lot of us. But the feeling of letting go and being free is top 2 and ain’t number 2.

I’m pass bra length & I’m so ready to do a extreme big chop, I big chopped 2 other times but never what you just did & I’m loving it. My plans are to go waist length (like I was 3yrs ago) then spring of 2024 get SCISSOR happy and go for it. Haven’t quite started my channel but looking forward to stating it by Jan 2024. Again, love your cut you did good!

I’m glad I did my big chop at the length my hair was at because now I know for sure I’m not cutting it again! Lol My hair was relaxed majority of my life up until 2012 then it stop responding to relaxers so I had no choice but to go natural. I didn’t big chop then, I gradually was cutting relaxed hair out as I went. 6 years later (my hair fully natural) blown out to my chest (never been that long or close to it A DAY IN MY LIFE) I decided I wanted to cut it all off again bcuz I felt it wasn’t as healthy as it would’ve been if I would of just big chopped all the dead hair off. So I did in 2020 and every one tho I was suffering from Covid 😂 I loved my cut, I played around with color. Different low cuts and designs for 3 years when I realized okay Im glad I got it out my system I want my hair back lol. Im on my journey of growing it back and I am not cutting it againnnnnn

I say all that too say if you going to cut it do it now. I miss my hair so much. I wish I would of just big chopped at the beginning of my natural hair journey and not 6 years after. But I do enjoy my short hair and not having to take all day to wash and style it but it’s time to grow it and keep it lol

@@candance724 I’m not hesitant about the big chop at all ✂️my hair is measuring at 17 inches which is below my bra strap, I’m 5’2. My plan is to go waist length so I can donate the hair to some “locs of love” organization for alopecia or cancer patients. Thanks for your feedback & I’ll reach out to you when I start my channel. It looks so good! Omg. I did this in college but on my relaxed hair because I was just sick of my hair. I hated it! My hair at the time and the haircut lol. But I’m so thankful for that moment because it was the bravest thing I had ever done. It took me a few years but I went natural 2015. I had cut all my hair off before so I had no fear cutting off again and this time I loved the woman who emerged after I cut that permed hair off. Go head girl. Rock that tapered cut.
