Sad thing is the denture cost $25 + labor. So a dentist 1k. + 1200, ya know. Overhead. Now implants. Bottomline, you drive that screw up in your jaw. 10k. Then you have to prey they do the particular job correctly

Would it be advantageous to have a 3 crown implant bridge that anchors 31 & 29 as well as 18 & 20 with a partial denture spanning the rest to increase bite force as well as general comfort with the mandible?

Is there snap on dentures that are made of Zirconia? Or is that not possible due to drilling the snap on locator housing on to the monolithic zirconia? Does it mean for all on 4 hybrid denture using zirconia, there are no hardware attached(mounted) to the zirconia prosthesis and only holes milled on the zirconia for the screws to be fastened?

I am in the process of getting snap in dentures. I wanted to back out, but the dentist insist on going through with it and pull 12 of my teeth. I now have an upper and lower arm bridge until the other 10. I also had four upper and four lower post put in. I was thinking about going with the permanent alarm for, but he does not offer it. I’m getting really discouraged..

Can you give advice/comment on going from the snap on to all on 4 implants? I am heading to the final phase for snap on. Pins not uncovered yet. Temporary's are horrible! Just recently reached out to a different dental office in order to see how complicated it would be to transition to all on 4. I was told that it is a little complicated, to say the least I guess. Appointment is on the 31st of January. Any advice?

there definitely can be problems with all on 4 if not done properly. there can also be problems with snap on dentures if not done properly. if both are done properly though, patients are way more satisfied with all on4 than snap on dentures.

I am in the process of getting a full upper and lower implant overdentures. The price quoted to me was $ 32,000(after promos and discounts).. my insurance paid 50% and paid the other 50%. My question is can my implant overdentures be upgraded to a all on 4 fix dentures. I’ve been watching videos in KZread and this scenario is nowhere to be found. In your professional experience can it be done? How much if it can. I live here in California...

#1. whoever your insurance is, its amazing. only people i've seen with that type of coverage that would pay 50% of that with no max of $1500 or 2000 is probably those people working for UPS. #2. and yes, the implants can be used to upgrade to an all on 4 fixed prosthesis. however, the most important thing is the implants need to be deep enough to provide enough prosthetic space for your all on 4 prosthesis. this means your surgeon will need to reduce enough bone and place the implants deep enough that it can be upgraded one day. honestly if i were you, idk how much they charge for all on 4 out there but i'd go for that right off the bat instead of going with the overdentures. you'll save so much time and money and you'll never be nearly as satisfied with the overdentures as you will with the all on 4. seen so many patients that can attest the same.
