not being able to see the thestrals until george dies is when I knew the attention to detail in this game would be off the charts

It's a nice detail but I honestly wanted the MC to be able to see the thestrals already indicating some hidden tragic backstory as to why he/she is attending Hogwarts so late.

Everyone hoping George might have escaped by apparating, but then you see the Thestrals appear and you know he's dead. That was honestly a brilliant way to explain how our character can see them.

Wow! I didn’t notice that! I haven’t read the books in a while so my knowledge was a bit rusty on certain details, but the seeing them only if you saw someone die is something I forgot. Neat detail

2:34 Wandless magic usually can only be used by top-tier wizards/witches like Dumbledore and Voldemort. Though some wizarding cultures outside of UK does teaches the ability to use wandless magic, like the African Magic School ( don't remember the name of the school)

It’s not ONLY used by them, but you have to be very powerful and skilled to use it a lot and on command, especially by doing harder spells, it’s kinda like thor’s hammer in the mcu. He already has abilities the hammer just harnesses the power. Fig is a pretty powerful wizard, but he can’t like duel without a wand like say dumbledore

I'm guessing it's less potent despite what that student says. Or the ban on goblins and others wielding wands would mean nothing. But I mean kids that don't even know they're witches or wizards perform magic by accident so it has to be a thing sometimes. And setting all that aside, Accio seems like a simple enough spell that it shouldn't need a lot of power to use, especially on smaller objects right in front of you. It might not work as well as Harry summoning his broom from the castle down to the dragon arena though.

@@Sloan0z That only appears to make a broom ascend under its own magic. And for beginners the reaction can vary. Some just roll over, most do nothing, Ron's hit him in the face in the movies but I think that was just for laughs.

Yes, it actually is pretty special that witches and wizards use magic without a wand (except in the African magical school of Uagadou, which is standard practice). If you see anyone using intentional wandless, it's confirmation that they have power.

As far as I can remember, the African Magic School in Harry Potter teaches the students to use magic with their own hands, basically casting spells from their own fingers instead of using wands. If I'm correct, ofcourse.

Umm as I research, witches and wizards are best when they cast with their own first wands. But in this timeline, other countries can cast without the wand too(the student that transfers with her mother(teacher). It might not be special that much, but it's more difficult.

A wand is a focus for the magi of the Wizarding world not the source it makes it far easier to cast and control it is entirely possible for a novice with extreme talent to cast wandless magic hell most Wizarding children cast wandless magic but it's dangerous as it cannot be fully controlled that's why whenever we do see wandless magic it is for small non combat spells only in a situation where a wizards or witches as been destroyed and retreat is impossible and capture means death should a magi resort to wandless combat magic as it is apparently as likely to destroy you as your target
