Question: do you know if p-ranks are easier or harder than shiny gold medals in Tropical freeze? Cause you definitively can't do one of them by accident. Especially not the no-damage version of shiny gold medals.

​@@legrandliseurtri7495 Never played Tropical Freeze, but I'd suspect P-ranks are easier since you can definitely get one while just trying to get an S-rank. The conditions to get it are more or less the same as S-rank with the added challenge of keeping a combo going for the whole level, which does still permit taking damage or missing some points. Technically you are only required to get enough points for S-rank, but getting enough points is more or less impossible without meeting the other conditions for P-rank anyway on most levels.

@@Topodic you can get them while going for s rank but on some of the levels later on ( not really the floor 5 ones, only pizza scare was a bit difficult) it becomes a bit hard to maintain a combo going... freezerator took me a bit.

You're not invulnerable during your run, it's just that most enemies get scared and lose their hitboxes/don't attack. The John punchy guys are one of the few enemies that know no fear Btw: Super Taunts are the best way to keep your combo in a pinch!

When playing in windowed mode, depending on where you are, the game's title will change. In John Gutter, it's "A John graveyard... in the Pizza Tower". So there's your answer. It's where the dead Johns go. Except for that one in Wasteyard, I guess. He was angry enough to become a ghost, I guess?

It's named "John Gutter" because there's all these John corpses in the background and along the level. It's a GUTTER, for JOHNS, just look at the backgrounds more! They're pretty interesting!

good luck on the p ranks, I had a heart attack when i needed to keep up my combo for john gutter, and let me just repeat, JOHN GUTTER. love the pizza tower content, seeing you guys just question every single part of the game was really funny. also, there is a secret ending by getting all the treasures

Most secrets are actually unused content from the game: 1. The old tower room is filled with: the old john design, the cheese dragon which was an unused boss, and the guy on the weiner was the original way of getting the weirner in fast food saloon 2. The meat ball thing was an unused gimmic that wouldve involved breaking a certain block, he couldnt be grabbed so i think you had to groundpound to make him go places

Name a more iconic trio than "Casey?" "Yes?" *_taunt_*

Incase you were unsure, all you need to do is fight the final boss again, after you've done all you wanna do, and then you get the new ending. Same also goes for getting new Final Judgments and stamps on your save file. Hopefully knowing that will save you the guessing later

Basically, oddly enough, the best way to keep track of your progression is with the clothes, rather than the achievements (Namely because the costumes NEED the achievements sometimes.) Since it's hard for me to keep track of what you have and haven't done I'd like to list some of them, not all of them as they're kind of a nice surprise sometimes. but most of them. If I have permission anyways. Some are things you'd never think to do, some are things you're going to do anyways, and ones that you kinda sorta might figure out on your own. Those are the ones I probably wouldn't list if given permission. 19 outfits, btw.

Here's a nice tip I heard from a Speedrun stream: apparently if you ever want to p rank a level John gutter is like 2nd best or something because some of the forknight placements are a bit mean if you want to keep a full combo I think pizzascape was actually the best to start p ranking

Ian out here finding the Pizza Tower speed tech! I'm so glad to know Casey will get Jeremey's name right from now on. We wouldn't want her misnaming Jordan all the time, now would we? After all, Jóse is the best character in the game. Yeah, personally, I would have liked to see the full S-rank run. It feels like the meatball was an intended level feature that got cut at some point? Congrats on your first S ranks! Also, if you do decide to try for chef tasks, you'll want to take a moment to look at what they actually are. Some of them are surprisingly simple once you know what needs to be done. Others... not so much. The taunts still get an inordinate amount of amusement out of me.

Congrats on your 2 S Ranks. 👏 The secret rooms in the hub world are all room showcasing cut content. Like the Cheese Dino in floor 1 and the Meatball in floor 2. Word of advice - All obstacles you destroyed in lap 1 won't appear in lap 2. (Mainly the Stupid Rat™, but in your case the ghost blocks. 14:20 you would've _probably_ made it if you skipped out on the 3rd pepper and went straight to the Priest) I'm saying this in advance because some people tend to forget that small detail in levels like Sewers because they turn themselves into cheeseball thinking they need to get rid of the rat making them get caught.

Memorizing the layout of a level is the most important part of getting a P rank, it took me an hour to P rank John Gutter, but when you finally pull it off it feels amazing. I have three P ranks, Pepperman, The Vigilante and John Gutter, but P ranking the bosses is so much easier than the normal levels

Just so we’re clear high combos are worth exponential more than a bunch of low combos, even if you’re not getting the P rank S ranks are much more attainable with high combos

a lot of ppl forget the chef tasks, but i think they're fun. I'd say to go for all the things the computers list (toppins, secrets, artifacts), at least ONE P rank of your choice, and the Chef Tasks for a satisfying adventure!

i just wanna say, to get a p rank you need to keep a combo from beginning to end, get all toppins, find and do all secrets, get the tower secret, and do lap 2. for the tower secret gerome (towers janitor whos like a small pink john pillar) is needed. the easiest level to p rank is john gutter, with me doing that one myself. i recommend that one for your first p rank.

This is so fun to watch, I really hope you guys get at least one P rank

If you have to start P-Ranking, start with Ancient Cheese. Its quite forgiving once you know what you're doing.

Noy sure if you're going to go for a full 101% of PT, but there's a few things of note of you're still thinking about it, because it's one hell of a trial. -Every level must be P-ranked. Normally you just need S-ranks because P-ranks on their own don't count towards completion but... -Achievments count towards completion, and there is an achievement in each floor for P-ranking every level on that floor. -Costumes are NOT necessary for completion and does NOT count for 101%. Furthermore, costumes are shared between save files. Pizza Tower is a ride to 101% full of learning, tech, pain, frustration, and the most satisfying feeling imaginable once it all comes together. Whether on camera or off camera, I hope you nerds go for this challenge.

Lap 2...
