    Yeah I’ve built a few different engines now. Really enjoy it. I love the moment you first connect some compressed air and see it chug to life.

    Holding things in the three jaw chuck the way you are concerns me. I"m more concerned with the way you're holding things in the 4 jaw chuck. The work can slip and fly out. Use the 4 jaw to hold the ends and side of the piece of the work. all the best

    You are absolutely correct in proper work holding for a lathe. especially the 4 jaw chuck. However for the tools I have available this was the only method I could get it to fit and centre correctly for the operations I needed. For anyone reading this posters comment please follow this advice unless there is no other way. I have ordered a milling machine coming in January which will resolve some of these work holding issues. Thanks for your comment.

    @@leeceeworkshop Good Stuff on the Mill. Don't take my comments the wrong way. Not being a smartass and genuinely concerned for your safety. btw, your lathe looks to be the same model as mine. Its a very good unit and you'll soon love it. A lot of guys would die for a machine like ours
