The cemetery was the biggest and best I’ve seen. You can feel the history just walking through it.

I’m from Long Island NY born and raised, and I only knew of Sleepy Hollow as a legend like I genuinely never knew it was a real place 😂however, I definitely plan on visiting very soon especially in early October.

Omg, love this idea of a solo getaway! Love how historic the area looked and the grounds were beautiful - it looked like your house turning spinning outside of the castle lol! Wine and walking - a vacation success!

It was a great trip! I love solo trips, I can do whatever I want, when I want and not have to worry about anyone's schedule or moods, and it's a great way to reset my mindset as well. Walking and stopping for Wine breaks is the best! Haha!

I never really thought about visiting Sleepy Hollow until now. Great video, Darcy!!

Washington Irvine is the Author of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Horseman, he grew up in that town and based a lot of the places in the book from Tarrytown.

I was excited to stumble on your video. I'm taking a solo trip to Sleepy Hollow in May and staying at the Castle Hotel and Spa so it was nice to get a preview. Looks amazing. Thank you!!

Wow! Castles! Very nice video. What an amazing hotel with such gorgeous, colorful grounds. And that French dip did look pretty legit. Loved your Disneyish soundtrack and sparkly filters and whatnot, hehe.

Yes, this was the video! Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow is really a cute town and there is a beautiful River walk along the Hudson River as well but it didn't make it into the video.

If you go on the weekend, theres always lots of free parking at the school on Broadway

Good to know. I was there Wednesday - Saturday.

Just left Sleepy hollow today and had a disappointing time. This video was very helpful and I wish I would have been able to do all the things you listed. I'm sure it's much more accessible before and after October. They closed most things down including the cemetery and had a block party by the river where the restaurants are.

Oh snap! I already knew to avoid the "October" season, but I'm shocked to hear they closed the Cemetery?! I want to go back as there is so much more I didn't get to see and I like when it's not a crazy busy time of year. I will be better with my tips as I go on other trips.

The Castle Hotel & Spa. I stayed 3 nights for $587 total. Dinner at the hotel is separate. Beautiful place with friendly staff.
