Lets Compare BTArtBox $40 Nails and TEMU $2 Nails | Which One Wins? |

Ойын-сауық

This was a lot of fun to do. I love BTArtBox but save yourself some monies guys!!! All of these were great quality and absolutely worth checking out. My favorite ended up being the $2 nails from TEMU. I wish the BTArtBox ones were cheaper because they are great, but you can get just as good of quality while spending a TON Less. My second favorite ended up being the Una Gella which I will be using those between sets. Can't beat $6 and fast shipping but I have already ordered more TEMU because they were so pretty and very sturdy.
Let me know what you guys think of this video and if you have any questions tips or trick please leave me a comment, I try my best to respond to everyone. Like always guys, I appreciate each and every one of you guys. Thank you for spending your time with me today. I love you all!
Xoxo,
Haley

    1. THANK YOU for making this video! I rarely watch videos over 15 minutes, but I watched the ENTIRE time! (For those that read comments like me, this video did not feel long or drawn out. It kept my attention the entire time) 2. I am a nail fanatic. I just love them. I have brought a lot of nails off of Temu. The first few batches were plastic nails and there are some plastic nails that look okay but they will never be gel nails. Lol. My first set of gel nails were the all pinkish/nude nals from the btartbox collection. I purchased them from amazon for about $12 or so dollars. They looked amazing!! Now, there were two other brands I purchased Missix and Bornbyme. Since I am African American, I was trying to find the darker nude colors. Missix nails (brown base/white french) were the closest to btartbox style for darker complexions, but bornbyme's darker nude/black french tip looked atrocious. Missix was 9.99 for 240 nails and bornbyme was 13.99 significantly cheaper than btartbox. (For those that buy on Amazon, wait until black friday, prime day or check camel camel camel for the lowest price and buy them). 3. I have bought temu gel nails which look like the missix nails. I paid less than $6 for 240 nails and they were Nail Kingdom. There are two other ones that I have been eyeing and are in my cart including the last ones that you showed with the artwork. Price adjustments on Temu are so beautiful. (Also make sure that you check RetailMeNot and rakuten for cashback offers. One of them right now has 20% cashback). 3. I was terrified about doing gel nails since i have very sensitive nail beds. I still use nail glue. I feel a little better about trying the gel nail glue since i saw you use the remover spray. 4. Your video made me very happy and the factbthat you take the time to answer questions and comments made me an instant subscriber. ❤❤

    Yes, girl! Thank you so much for all of the info here! Have you tried the Una Gella brand ones? They have the nude colors for darker complextions, they are sooooo pretty and such good quailty, definitely worth checking out if you get the chance! I just bought some from the missix brand and am excited to try them, they have the colored French just like the BTArtBox ones so I'm excited to try those, especially now that you said they're very comparable to BTArtBox. I had no idea about Rakuten and retail me not doing cash back offers! That's GREAT to know!! I love the price adjustment with temu, I think it's an amazing thing they do and really got me hooked with shopping on there, that and the prices. There have been some "soft gel" nails from temu that I got that were just press ons advertised as soft gel that's why I figured I how in the easiest way to tell the gel tips from regular ABS plastic. All tips are made from ABS plastic, but soft gel just has a mix of ABS and gel. If you try the Gellen spray let me know what you think of it, I'm still blown away by how well it works BUT I do want to say so far it has only worked with solid gels. I've been rolling around a couple of ideas on how to use it with other products that I'm going to try out here very soon! Thank you again for such a great and informative comment. This info will help a lot of people! Thank you so much for being here, I appreciate you than you know and I hope you're having a killer weekend!!! Xoxo

    I bought that spray gel remover and loved it! I’ve been hoping someone would do actual reviews. I like the comparison videos but I’d like to see wear tests done… no one seems to do them. I’ve used the animal kingdom (Amazon atm) but I like them. I just don’t know how not to mess up the French on these nails. I did better this last time. I’m a mail carrier and some of the gel tips just disappear on my non dominant hand. After 2 weeks there barely any length left. I think the mail is eating some of these gels 😂

  • @HaleyDawn85

    @HaleyDawn85

    17 күн бұрын

    That's actually a great idea, I will do a wear test on them! And about the French, thats why they suggest using the builder gel so you cap that design in and it doesn't wear off and it gives the strength for them not to wear down also. You could use rubber base or do like 4 or 5 layers of your top coat and that should work too! I'm impressed by the quality of most of these ones, have you tried the Una Gella ones off of Amazon? They're very thick at the tip so maybe those would wear down less for you? I wish I had a cool mail carrier like you! 😉 Thank you again for being here, I appreciate you so much! Xoxo

I had bought my stepdaughter who is 13 now some nail stuff to start doing her own nails and she developed a hema allergy and gave it to me a few weeks ago the little sweety. Love that kid. Lol. @torridmess a rubber base is good! I go back and forth between a regular base and a rubber base. Just make sure you're leaving the dispersion(sticky) layer on the rubber base, it really helps other gel products adhear better. And yes, a gooseneck lamp helps sooooo much,even if it's a cheaper one that clamps to a table or whatever. That's what I had forever until it stopped working lol. I think i spent like 10 buvks on it. What a sweet girl for giving you all of her stuff, but that super sucks she developed an allergy 😞 maybe she can get into acrylic! Hahah. Also the spray looks amazing, so going to try and find it on Amazon, but me being in the UK changes things sometimes. Also have you tried the peel off base coats? I swear by them, they last 2-3 weeks, which is great for me since I get bored easily. I love BTArtbox, but so expensive. They're the only ones that do stiletto shaped with a french tip, so I'm kinda stuck with them lol. Anyways, thank you so much for this video!!!! ✌️😘

    Thank you so much for saying that!! Yeah, I don't know why I didn't realize that Amazon in the UK doesn't offer the same things sometimes. It's kind of unfair! The spray is absolutely amazing! It does only work with solid gel, so keep that in mind if you're able to get it there. It doesn't work with just regular gel glues. Do you shop on TEMU? They have several shapes on there with the French, Shein also! I love BTArtBox also, I use several of their tips and I u.derstand that 40 bucks really isn't a horrible price since you're getting 15 sets out of them but I do know a lot of people can't afford that or just don't want to spend that on something like that. There are a bunch that are very VERY comparable and much cheaper. Let me know if you get the spray and what you think of it! Thank you so much for being here and spending time with me. Hi, new sub , I accidentally tapped on your video and I must say it’s def a happy accident!!! I absolutely love the designs on the ones from temu! The other ones are imo way too expensive, but convenient if you want to do your nails and have the nail art/ design already done for you for whatever reason. I would get the more expensive ones for special occasions and stuff. Or when I’m really not able to do the design if I’m not feeling well or in too much pain to sit there any longer than application. I have Lupus PAH, CHF, RA, FIBROMYALGIA, DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE, ASTHMA ETC. I have a lot of illnesses that are related to the Lupus and a lot that are unrelated to the Lupus. Basically just a lot of s!?t !!! 🤣🤣🤣 anyways I also have a “non-essential tremor that makes me shake a lot but it’s worse one the left side , which is my dominant hand and so that’s a challenge in itself lol but I love to do my own nails so I can save money , I enjoy it and it’s done exactly the way I want it done , ( most of the time). lol. I’ve been doing my own nails since I was young but when I was able to work I got my nails done professionally for years. I’ve been doing them since feb/2016. One thing I wish I did since I started was document every design I ever did because I would love to see the progression but also have those memories too. Oh well I’ll just start from this point forward…Thank you for posting this video. I appreciate it!!! 💜💜💜 btw the $6 una Gella’s are cute. I do agree with you about the first ones French. My 23 yr old daughter has such tiny very thin nail beds that is so difficult to find full cover tips that are skinny enough to fit her nails, in your opinion the tips with 15 sizes in them, do you think they have a reasonable amount of very thin nail tips that might be @ good fit for my daughter , if you compare them to like say una Gella for example. I have a pack of una Gella n Full cover nail tips that seem to me to be wider than other brands in the same size number. You know what I mean ? Or did I make this question too confusing? lol. I’m just wondering because I’m gonna be a grandma by Dec20th. She’s my little miracle baby born 3lbs 5oz. So I def think my grandbaby will be a preemie also but I need to do her nails for the baby shower and she wants full cover tips so I’m just thinking ahead so I’m prepared with everything. TBH I think my grandbaby it’s gonna be born in either October or November. Hopefully on my Late Daddy’s birthday on 11/20, which also happens to be the same birthday as my son-in-law!!! 11/20/24!

    I'm so glad that you accidentally found your way here :) The convenience is definitely what makes the BTArtbox so big and they really are beautiful nails, I've used BTArtbox for years now (their full cover softgel clear tips are amazing) and that was exactly the point of this video. Some people just can't afford that or would be pushing their pockets to spend that much on something like this. So, I just wanted to show that there are comparable options for those people with smaller budgets. I'm really sorry you are dealing with all of your health problems. My grandma had Lupus and I know how devastating that can be by itself so I can't imagine what it's like having all of the other things going on with it but you seem like your still kicking a** and taking names lol. Thats so awesome about being a soon to be grandma, HOW EXCITING and so very special. CONGRATS granny!! I cant wait for the day I get to be a grandma. My oldest will be 23 in November!! November is a good month to be born! My youngest was a prime like your baby was. #lbs exactly but looking at her today you'd never be able to tell. To answer your question, I do think that Una Gella would be a very good option for your daughter. Also another brand to check out on Amazon for smaller sizes would be Missix. I have someone recommend them to me on here and bought some and they are very similar to Una Gella. check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks so much for this! That spray remover looks like it works great! I haven’t tried solid glue yet, but I may need to go there. I know you can’t paint tips before if you are applying them with gel. Does that apply to solid glue also?

  • @HaleyDawn85

    The remover is amazing and if you haven't tried solid glue gel I highly HIGHLY recommend giving it a shot because it is so much easier, in my opinion anyway lol. If you're wanting to pre-design your tips before applying them you should be good as long as you're not using super opaque colors. If you are then the glue gel won't cure, just like regular gel. You can cure with syrup gel and your jelly gel polish though with no problem. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for being here, I appreciate you so much! Xoxo

    From what I understand, the gel tip turning white from the alcohol is chemically etching it. I've seen KZreadrs do this with acetone on the underside of the tips instead of buffing them to increase the tips grip to the glue.

  • @HaleyDawn85

    @HaleyDawn85

    9 күн бұрын

    Acetone, yes, but rubbing alcohol doesn't etch them, it's not a compound that can break down gel or plastic like acetone does. It's a reaction that the alcohol has with the plastic materials in softgel tips. So it's more like a stain than anything but does go away once you use your top coat or polish. You can also use Primer to etch your tips! Xoxox

    Hi Haley! This was such a informative and dedicated video- thank you for delivering these comparisons :) I just wanted to ask about the safety of using a LED gel curing glue with nails that aren't transparent. I believe that's where BTArtbox has a large selling point because the material allows the LED to penetrate through to fully cure the gel unlike other coloured/designed nails. I hope you can shed some light on this as I would hate it if you or anyone else develops a nail gel allergy :( Thank you very much!

  • @HaleyDawn85

    @HaleyDawn85

    11 күн бұрын

    I don't know the super scientific details but the BTArtBox does have the patented on the base coat, tip primer, and soft gel tip being all in 1 (having to do less steps) as far as I know, I think that's what made them blow up like they did because its super cool to have less to do. Outside of that all of these tips are translucent enough to where any product you use will cure. With any tip as long as you can see light through them the product underneath will cure/dry but with anything you could develop an allergy at any point so it's kind of a decision you'd have to make on your own. I don't suggest using gel products on solid-colored tips for that reason but some of your ABS plastic predesigned tips are translucent enough to use gel products with also. I hope this answers your question!! Xoxox

I got into nails when covid hit and it really helped me not go nuts especially when the kids weren't in school. I kept it up and I'm not amazing but I'm good and getting better. More importantly I enjoy it as a mother or mammy as we say here in Ireland 🇮🇪 who feels guilty if I spend too much on nail supplies this video is great 👍. Thats so awesome you got into nails and love it, I love hearing that. I spent so much time in my nail room when covid hit us here in the US. I totally nerded out in there lol. I actually did try it with acrylic yesterday evening, and it does not work with acrylic unfortunately. My best suggestion for acrylic would be a peel off base. Gaoy has my favorite one that doesn't peel off until you're ready for it to come off. I was really hoping it would work with other products, but so far it has only worked with solid gel. And it works very well with nails that are prepped also. The nails I tried it with in the review video I had fully prepped, and it worked amazing taking those off after I had had them on for days. Hopefully a company will figure out a remover that works this well with acrylic, polygel and other gel products cause that would be bad ass!!

    Could you share the brands of the different gels you used to put the nails on with the one in the black bottle I know what it is cuz I got the tips but the others I’ve never seen ! Always looking for any product to makes applying and removing easier/quicker thank you! PS just happen to catch the beginning of your acrylic application video asking about a clear that doesn’t yellow ok NotPolish is great and applies so well, V beauty Pure is another great one but they are a little more expensive not outrageous but a little more! One thats on the less expensive side that I like is Makartt these are all just my opinion ones I’ve used and never had an issue with! The only other thing I can think may cause this issue is some monomers as I’m sure you’ve experienced and know but some monomers for whatever reason can cause a yellowing issue! I know they say that there is no such thing as a universal monomer however so far I have found that Kiara Skies monomer works with every brand I’ve tried it with which is a lot! I’ve even purchased a few acrylics from Etsy and it worked with those just as well ! I like it because it’s quality monomer and to me the price is more than fair especially if you catch it on sale on the nailcompany.com wholesale supply website! You don’t have to have a wholesale license or anything anyone can shop with them and they carry some great brands and I also like getting my acrylic brushes there! You make know about them and you probably already know everything I just mentioned but just in case it may help I thought I would share! Again it’s just my opinion from my experience these things! Hope I shared something new they may work out for you!! Anyway would you mind sharing those gels with me and I am so excited about this gellen remover stuff I use the jello jello peel off base works good but it’s more on the expensive side anytime I can save a few dollars I’m all about that as we all are I’m sure LOL!! AND you were absolutely right about my monomer, the one I was using was actually causing the yellowing which was a bummer because I had never had that problem with it (enailcouture) so I switched it out. I absolutely love nail company wholesale. I buy a ton of stuff from there. It's one of my favorite places to shop and browse products, actually. I just bought a bunch of Not Polish acrylic from there because they were on clearance! SCORE! I love all Not Polish products. I'll have to check out Kiara Sky's monomer cause now that I'm thinking about it I've never tired it or VBP either, I have a few powders left from Kiara Sky but need to try VBP powders too. They'll be next on my list on ones to try for monomer, and I snag a couple of their powders, too. And it's like you're reading my mind because I've actually been eyeballing a couple of Makartt powders, too! Thank you so much for all of the info and suggestions, I appreciate it so much, and it definitely helps for sure! Thank you so much for spending time with me and joining my beautiful little KZread family. I appreciate you so much and hope you're having the best weekend ever! Xoxo

    My problem is that I have lupus and it’s caused me to have lung problems which has not so kindly given me clubbed nails. My thumbs are 20mm and 19mm wide at the cuticles. I’ve only found one place which is the additude shop in CA that has tapered square that have a 0 which is 20mm. I’d love to have almond full cover tips. Any advice?

    Hello!! Thank you so much for being here! I actually used to have a couple of beautiful ladies like yourself that came to me, and I do know a brand actually that has just what you're looking for! I'm sorry about you having lupus. That runs in my family also, and I know how hard of a disease that is. The brand is SINOKAME on Amazon. They're the only brand I've found that has tripple zero full cover nails, I'll link them here for you. They aren't pre-designed, though, so you'd have to paint them the way you want them. Also, I did a video a few weeks ago using Guideline full cover tips, and those have large sizes also but not as large as the SINOKAME brand. I'll measure them and see exactly how big the biggest size is with that brand. One more thing, I would use a solid nail glue gel to apply because that will keep the nail tips from curving downward. It helps fill in the gap between your nail and the backside of the fullcover tip. Especially for clubbed nails. I hope I was able to give you some usable advice! Thank you so much for being here, I appreciate you so much! Xoxox

    They're definitely gorgeous, I can't argue that fact at all. It's more about the price point and that there's more affordable options for people who can't afford the BTArtBox tips or just don't want to spend that much on them. There's a lot of very comparable ones out there. BTArtbox is soooo pretty, though, and I'll definitely use the ones I have. I'm hoping I can figure out a way to apply them so they won't hurt my nail beds. So far, both times I've worn them outside of this, they make my nails hurt so bad but I have super flat natural nails. 😫 Xoxo

    Hello love! New friend to your channel from southeast Kentucky! I love getting to chat with and make new forever friends here on KZread and I hope we can chat sometime. I hope to get back to doing my videos once again soon. I have been doing vids on my channel for a few years now. I sadly had to take a break from doing vids to fight stage 2 triple negative breast cancer from 2020-2022 and missed doing my vids so much but now I’m gratefully in remission for now and pray I never see cancer again. Now that I’m starting to look and feel like myself once again I want to get back to doing my beauty vids Plus I want to add doing nail vids too. I also started a new channel for different things that I love to do so much and share things I love to collect and I hope to do more things over that was too. When I lost all my pretty hair, lashes and brows and looked so sickly I didn’t want anyone to see me so sick which is why I had to take my break from my KZread channel but I’m ready to get back to doing videos again and hopeful to make some more new friends. Anyway I truly enjoyed your video and I can’t wait to get caught up on your other vids. I also hope to connect with you and anyone else wanting a sweet kind hearted friend from Kentucky and that we get to chat soon! I hope to see you over on my channel (this channel)soon which is my main channel and I do things beauty and nail related as well as some haul vids and hope to see you over on my new channel I made recently for my love of dolls, dollhouses, junk journaling, arts & crafts, our pets, vintage things and just a mix of many things that me, my daughter and my mother love and enjoy doing. Sending hugs, love & channel support your way!! Love, Amanda Here is the link to my new channel. Hope to see you there as well because you get double the channel support from me❤ youtube.com/@MyHeartsDesire78?si=Aukg25zz5s6PUM55

    Hello, you BEAUTIFUL MFer! I'm so so glad you are here and sooooo glad to hear that currently, you're in remission! What an amazing thing to be able to say, and I subscribed to your channel . I can't wait to check it out and see what you have planned for the future of your channel. I can't even begin to imagine everything you've been through over the last few years, but I am so glad you've made it through. I understand needing to take a break, especially with health things going on like that, and I'm sure you needed to rest and take it easy throughout all of that too. You can email me anytime if you want to chat, I LOVE making new friends, especially ones with super sweet Kentucky accents! Lol. I hope you never see cancer again, girl. From the bottom of my heart, I hope that you never have to see that again. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? You look so young to have been through all of that (not trying to be vain about looks or age anything). If you ever want to chat or have questions or just need to talk to someone, I'm always here girl. I appreciate you so much!! Xoxo

    Hey new sub 👋🏼 Wow really impressive video, you have the patience of a saint to do all the comparisons. I had no idea how to tell the difference between the real soft gel tips and plastic ones with the simple alcohol test, thank you for that. 🤍 I actually can’t do my own nails anymore due to developing the dreaded allergy! Devastating when it’s something you love so much, not to mention the money spent over the last few years. Clinging on to hope of someday figuring a way around it, if anyone has any tips or tricks I’d greatly appreciate it. My last reaction was horrendous. Not touched my kit since, yet i still buy a ton of stuff which seems crazy & i still really enjoy watching other people do theirs. So glad i stopped by. I loved them all. The set you ended with from Temu were my favourite, they were stunning. Blessings to you & everyone from the U.K. 🤍🤍

I did my normal nail prep and used my regular gel nail tips & Solid Nail Glue, which i’ve been using for years the only thing i had used new that night was the lavender violets base gel,gel polish & matte top coat! I went to bed everything was fine but the next morning i instantly knew id had a reaction, the itching & burning was awful, i soaked the nails off straight away, which was agony. It took me around 6 or so weeks to fully recover from it. I obviously didn’t know whether it was the glue the tips or even the alcohol that had given me the reaction. I’ve used lavender violets for a few times before so it didn’t click straight away that it was more than likely to have been that, i was left with more questions than answers. Ive looked for advice from everywhere & Mostly told to do my own patch testing as it’s so expensive to get it done professionally. I’ve not wanted to touch my kit since this happened. I was never on this nail journey to become a nail technician. I was only ever going to do my own nails, having 5 kids 4 who are now grown, with just a teenager at home i needed something just for me & found a huge passion for doing my nails. I went all in and grew my kit to what i have now & again still buying even though i dont use anything ☹️ I have a huge collection of press on’s but scared to use glue on my nails, a lot of people have told me to try polish instead or gel but again to afraid to try anything. I keep reading that once you’ve developed an allergy you become allergic to everything is that right? Thank you so much for replying. I appreciate you & I love your content 🥰
