I agree about the kids cleaning! My daughter kept her room trashed. I would go in and clean and in a week it was trashed again.... even though she was quote...keeping it clean lol

My last bedroom before leaving for college had low windows and I didn't like my canopy bed anymore so I had a box spring and mattress on the floor under the windows. No more hiding stuff under my bed. Lol! My junior year of high school I started hanging out with a girl who was an only child with lots of after school chores that had to be done before we could hang out. I'd help her and picked up the clean bug. I actually deep cleaned my room without my Mom nagging me. She walked past my open door and nearly fainted. I still remember that.i also picked up my friend saying ma'am and sir to her folks. Daddy told me to not use it for him but Mom liked it a lot better than the "yeah?" and "what?" I usually said.

I agree with you on the children and cleaning their room.

When my kids were little I wanted them to enjoy there rooms and home. Sometimes we would clean together in their rooms. 👍🏾❤❤❤

When my brother and I were kids we threw a fit when we realized that the real tree was "murdered". "What do you mean we can't just replant it?" Ever since it has been fake trees. As an adult I still do fake the tree, but got potted arbovietes for my front porch.

We always get a real tree. I only remember real trees back to my childhood (I’m 67). I do put up a two foot artificial tree in the toy room we use with our grandsons.

Those negative comments better back off. No one is perfect. We don't live in a perfect world. We can try to be organized, but we are human; we will have days that are unperfect. Thanks for showing us your real life. It helps me realize I'm the only one out there, and there's more people like me. 😀 Just brush off the negative and keep doing what you are doing.

Hi Ashley I love your videos You are such a great Mom. I had a friend that had the same problem where there kids sat at the bar and they had a clear piece of plastic cut to size and put one screw in each corner. It solved the problem.

I’m a babysitter for one family and the two girls share a room (4 & 6(on the 15th)) and their room gets so messy. One day they had to clean their room before going on vacation and it took them 3 hours to do it. But it was funny cuz they kept telling on each other about the other not cleaning. It was clean but not perfect but we could vacuum. Kids are kids lol

Hey hey girl!! Here for some motivation to start off the new week! :)

I use those Glad Small Spaces in Clean Linen (or something similar) in my tiny bathroom (slightly bigger than that closet), in the backroom where the litter box and dirty laundry is and under my kitchen sink. I prefer a very subtle scent as the stronger ones give me bad headaches. I also use lightly lavender scented trash bags in my bathroom and kitchen. Both cans are small due to limited space (I live in a camper). Camper toilet systems get clogged easily so toilet paper goes into a trash can, not flushed. I use special pods in the toilet, lavender scented, too. Between the trash bags, pods and small spaces unit, there's nearly no smell. 👍

May sound extreme but some friends with 5 kids (ages 2-13) had an issue with their breakfast bar getting rather "beaten up" by little feet... The dad is a contractor and he put up what amounts to a gigantic kick-plate (like you'd use on doors, mostly outer ones) on the bottom 2/3 of the bar where the stools are placed. He did a good job and it looks much nicer than I would have expected. It is cleaned with a product like CLR, diluted and a microfiber hand mop. Just to add to the information.

I love the original Pine oil That smells amazing and will leave your house smelling so good for at least 3 days

Yup😊, and btw I completely agree with you about cleaning the kids room you cant expect them to clean their rooms like we do. 👍you should see the state of my boys room and honestly I dont expect them to clean their room just tidy up their school supplies and books, the rest is up to me to get done. 😉 they have enough of school work.

I just got done speed watching some one else’s “complete disaster” cleaning video and as a mom of four little ones ages 4 months up to 7 years and homeschooling… it was to me very much not a disaster 😆 I prefer your title and video makes me feel a little better haha definitely going to subscribe !

Good for you calling out people who leave mean (and totally untrue) comments. I remember as a child shoving everything in my closet when I "cleaned" my room; highly doubt this had changed for most kids... I wonder if you got a really thin fleece blanket to go under the comforter if it would prevent it from slipping? I did that with my boys when I bought them some polyester sheets from Sam's once. Even if she doesn't sleep under it, it might help prevent it from ending up on the floor 🤣

HAPPY SUNDAY! Just came back from Christmas Shopping, ordered a Pizza, husband wrapped all the presents, and will be going out for round 2 and waiting on packages from online. Lol when I steam clean I say the same thing!🤣 that’s so cute her little Christmas sign!! Girl when we were kids, until late teens my mom made us clean our room… everything went under the bed and piled in the closets!! She would clean like once every month or two herself and we would appreciate it! We also had chores around the house too! People are crazy lol… which vacuum do you have?

Growing up we always had live trees. When I got married we had live trees UNTIL 2 days before Christmas there must have been a spider’s nest in the tree. It was covered in baby spiders. My husband took it outside and the tree farm generously refunded our money. But try to find an artificial tree that close to Christmas. Bless his heart he found one. It was so ugly but looked beautiful to us when we put our decorations on it. No more live trees for us.

Ashley you are doing a great job raising your children for those who have negative comments probably have kids worst . Children don’t clean like we adults do and surprisingly boys sometimes are more neater than girls I as a child never wanted anyone else in my room and when my grandma would visit she’d sleep in my room I had to sleep on an army cot in my brother Kenny and johns room ( I wasn’t happy about it neither) my brother Kenny and Bobby were the slobs of us children they were older my brother John was the baby and he was mediocre in neatness 😀I really enjoy your channel and watch it daily ( I’m catching up with your older videos

Hi! Grandpa has been a painter for over 56 years. Before you paint, even after, the best thing to use on any type of wall paint to get off stubborn dirt is normal Fantastic. Spray, wipe, spray again, let it sit, and use some sort of steam on it. Works AMAZING

We have the same high chair & the best way I got it clean was to take it outside and use extremely hot water and dawn dish soap and scrub scrub! Lol

I definitely don't recommend that high chair either but you can take off the fabric, you just have to take out 8 screws I think, but there is a big piece of cardboard for the seat so you risk ruining it in the washer, mine didn't but I read somewhere that some one did ruin theirs, there is a KZread video on how to take it off.

Growing up it was always real. When my son was little it was real but as he grew he acquired tree allergies so now we do fake. I love that Athan needs to smell all the good stuff!

I don’t have a steamer but believe me it is on my list for sure!! In watching other cleaning videos I have seen people use the steamer on their trash can!! Thought might help you next time you need to clean the dreaded trash can🥰

Love this type of motivation!! Does your garbage disposal side the black thing inside I'm not sure if yours comes out but I have one in my sink I have to take it out and soak it in bleach I let it sit for 2 days outside and then I wash it but the amount of stuff that sits on them🤢

That’s the high chair they had at the rental house we went to in Florida and it wasn’t my favorite because I wanted to remove the cover and wash it and couldn’t!!

What if you add shelves to half of that closet? Then you still have room for you vacuum etc but more organization space.

We have fake trees & grew up w/ fake as well. My Momma & us kids all had too bad of allergies to get a real one. I love real ones tho!

Hello! I'm Linda from Florida. Just found your video. I have a 9 year old granddaughter that lives with us. She is so messy. Is this video done in one day? All day?

That closet could use shelves like a pantry so you could get everything organized and easy to get to. May even fit some small kitchen appliances for you to easily get to when you want to use them. Great closet. My son always threw everything in his closet when he was a child, but his room looked great.

Awww! You have a pug!! What do you do to combat the fur? We have 3 and I feel like it's a full time job just sweeping up everyday!

I use method spray and mop floor cleaner on my laminate flooring. It works well.

If the hose doesn't work, stick the highchair in the shower.

I think it's important for kid's to be kid's and with that comes constant messes. I used to be crazy OCD when my kid's were little and I ran myself ragged trying to have everything perfectly cleaned all the time. I learned to take a chill and there were time's to clean, let them be kid's, have them help pick up, assign appropriate chores for their age and so on. You parent your kid's how you wish and see fit, and those who disagree can disagree. BS comments are just that...BS, we get a small glimpse into your life with your video's and to me that's not a open invitation for comments regarding how you choose to do thing's with your children.

Dear parents! When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!! Respectfully, Astra Viil
