The Lethal Weapon movies are the only movies, in my opinion, that do a good job of mixing action and comedy together. And I feel the trick to how they do this is by getting closely connected to the characters. That is the key. I doubt anyone else would do that quite so well. Thank you, Richard Donner R.I.P
Dasha, this entire series is good, just in different ways from one another. All 4 movies tell a full story about the evolution of the characters and their relationships.
Please watch 3 & 4 as well! I especially love 3. Bonus: more Leo!

Peter Griffin: "Just like the bad guys In Lethal Weapon 2 I've got diplomatic immunity So Hammer, you can't sue."
"Joe Pesci makes every movie better." You said, it, sister!
Roger: you alright man? Riggs: Yeah, I’m fine. Where were you man? Are you my partner or what? Why didn’t you follow me down? Leo: Yeah, why didn’t you follow him down?! Roger: SHUT UP! It’s seven floors up! That was my favorite movie stunt
Lethal Weapon is the one franchise that is good in every movie.
All 4 Movies are awesome. They stayed consistent and delivered with every one, while also keeping 'family'/same Actors together.
The girl killed on the diving board, was also in terminator 2 and Aliens!
4:51 😆 Not the kind of commercial Murtaugh _ever_ pictured his _daughter_ being in.
Laughed at “Diplomatic immunity up your a..”. Hahaha!
Lethal Weapon 2 is my favourite of the franchise. It’s probably my fave buddy cop movie of all time. I’m glad Dasha enjoyed it. More buddy cop movies I’d recommend are: 21 Jump Street & 22 Jump Street The Nice Guys Bad Boys & Bad Boys 2 Point Break (1991) I recall Dasha already watched Hot Fuzz, which was a hilarious parody of the buddy cop genre, but I don’t think she’s watched Point Break yet. It’s amazing - a must watch! I also highly recommend watching The Nice Guys (2016). It’s criminally overlooked but it’s the best buddy cop movie of the last decade.
Great Reaction Video..... The female Detective that gets blown up on the Diving Board, is Jenette Golstien who is also in Aliens as Vasquez, and in Terminator 2 Judgement Day as the Foster Mom...... That Shipping Container is 40 feet Long, 8 feet tall, 8 feet wide....... All 4 movies in this series are Good...... The constant Arch is the Growth of the "Friend/Family" dynamic........ And each movie does address a social topic.......

I didn't know she was the trampoline jumper.
This one, and the first one, were filmed around the Los Angeles harbor. I grew up in that area. This movie ends near a large bridge called Vincent Thomas Bridge. It has been used in many many films and tv shows over the last 50 years. Its a famous bridge. In 2012 Tony Scott, director of Top Gun and other films, jumped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge taking his own life. RIP Tony Scott

@@mrtveye6682 I agree good sir the whole series is a good watch. And also agree on how rare it is for follow up movies are as good but they did manage.
Dasha, this was another great reaction. You always do such a great job and so intuitive. As I recently said to another reactor ... The woman (Jenette Goldstein) who played Meagan Shapiro, the cop that was blown up while on the diving board at her home, played Private Vazquez, the tough woman soldier in Aliens who, along with her buddy, blows themselves up in the air duct. She also played John Connor's foster mother in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It HAS been said about her, "Jenette Goldstein is a true chameleon. She is so effective as an actress, it is nearly impossible to recognize her from role to role". I know it took ME a while before I started realizing who she was in those movies. BTW, that scene at the beginning, where he was doing "a magic trick" ... well, that wasn't a magic trick. That WAS a straitjacket, yes, the same kind they use in magic tricks, but they were also used to subdue the mentally ill, restrain people who were suicidal, and other things like that. However, the "magic" in this trick was him getting out of it WITHOUT a key ... just by moving himself around within it.
The incredible chemistry between Glover and Gibson makes this movies so amazing. They had a good time.
I love all 4 Lethal Weapon movies. So you need to react and enjoy them!
It kills me just how cute Dasha is!
"Wait Riggs, what's the signal?" "When you see the signal, you'll know." "Somehow, I believe I will."
That ship has sailed. They already have a lot on their plate. Dasha is really getting her English figures of speech down.

All four movies are awesome, but this is is my favourite ❤. I love the red BMW in the beginning, best design in that company. And of course: "Decaffinated!" (not writing the correct word on purpose). Easily one of the best one-liners in movie history!
Yes, one of those detectives was played by Dean Norris who played Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad.
This series keeps getting better and better. Hoping you do 3 and 4 soon.

Yes, Dasha, each film deals with a different issue : the first is about war profiteers, the second is about Apartheid, the third is about the arms industry, and the fourth is about human trafficking.
Leathal Weapons is franchise that every part so far is worth watching and enjoying. Perhaps 4th is weakest but it still is very high on as sequel. Joe Pesci is amazing. So versatile. He can get laugh out of you or scare speechless. My friend once described Joe Pesci: "Rottlweiler in Chihuhua's body". After watching Goodfellas.. yeah. He is Rottweiler.
This series of movies gets even better. Number 4 is my favorite.
I think you are right, Dasha! Going through the experience of 2 romantic partners dying is definitely traumatizing! Luckily he has a great support network with his Roger and Roger's family. Also, you really "nailed' that punchline!

I agree with her watching/reacting to 3 & 4......
"I'm not going to cry." :-( The movie's definition of Immunity is...stretched. He's not above the law in the slightest, and he can absolutely be expelled from the country if they have cause. The Mythbusters tested the the thing with freezing the bomb to delay the fuse. Not only did it work, but it worked SO well they could have pretty casually strolled out of the house. God, I remember all the protests and anger over Apartheid in the 80s/90s. It was such a big deal at the time of the movie, especially the situation with Nelson Mandela. The woman cop who gets blown up on the diving board played Vasquez in Aliens, and Janelle (the foster mom) in Terminator 2. The original plan actually WAS for Riggs to die at the end.
30:35 "This is just unfair. This is unfair fight." Come now, Dasha. You've seen _Pirates of the Caribbean._ Remember that one scene? William Turner: "In a _fair_ fight, I could've _killed_ you." Jack Sparrow: "Not exactly a reason for me to fight _fair_ now, _is_ it?"
Mythbuster's did the liquid nitrogen trick and it worked so well that it took 10 min for the bomb to go off after the presure trigger was released :)

Way to predict the "nail gun" pun!
GREAT reaction Dasha!!!👍👍👍👍👍I hope that you'll be able to upload 3 and 4 because they're just as good and well-worth watching!!!😀
It may be weird but I think all 4 Lethal Weapon Movies are equally as good and yet I like 3 the best for some strange reason
The sequel is called Lethal Weapon 3: Mandatory Administrative Leave
Dasha, love your reactions. "Shove it up your a$$" 🙂 Now that you've seen enough Lethal Weapon may I recommend another Mel Gibson movie? Please watch Maverick (not Top Gun). Also, keep going with LW3 and 4.
When you see Lethal Weapon 3, you will be even more torn about which you like better, because that one is amazing as well. I don't really have a favorite. I love them all equally. Lethal Weapon is easily one of the greatest cop tandem movies ever and just an overall great movie series period.

I'm pretty sure she was referring to Riggs, saying "I don't think he's gonna ever date now."
"Diplomatic immunity" Yea, but that paper is not bullet proof.
Rigs tries to quit smoking in the next one. 😆
The first time I saw this movie, when they cut to Rika's still face underwater I was devastated. Something I feel most people miss is that Riggs is a Three Stooges fan. They've laid clues about this in both movies, but with Pesci they actually can stage Three Stooges physical comedy. A South African term for black people is kaffir. Kaffir-lover is what white racist South Africans call those who have black friends. Thus Murtaugh's pun at the end that the bad guy was de-kaffirnated, a play on decaffeinated. All four movies are good, but I don't like #4 as much because I don't think Chris Rock can act. YMMV. It's still a decent movie. You should watch both 3 & 4. Small spoiler: Joe Pesci does return. ;)
@bigdream_dreambig
Жыл бұрын
I believe you're reaching too hard to explain the "decaffeinated" joke. What you've described here is too obscure for the screenwriters to assume either Murtaugh or their audience would know it. It's just a play on words based on the common mispronunciation error decapitated/decaffeinated. They did the same thing in the movie Hot Fuzz.
watch #3, Its good too.
One of my favorite sequels ever made, cool reaction as always Dasha, you have a nice day sweetie 🥰❤️
This is the best of the franchise, but they are all great.
Hi Dasha!😄I hope you, your sister, family back home, and Hugo are all doing well.🙏🏽Even a murder charge can be difficult to persue with diplomatic immunity. I do like this one better than the first, probably due to the addition of Joe Pesci. That was sad, Riggs finds out they killed his wife, then his girlfriend. I do like films like this that expose ignorance and prejudice in the world. Great reactions to your second Lethal Weapon film, Dasha!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Thank you Dasha. 3 and 4 are just as good if not better. I hope you have a nice day wherever you are and doing whatever you're doing.
People can argue which one is better, which one is not the best in the series, but in general I think the 5 movies are worth watching. I personally like 3 best. It feels like they complete the family, 4 is more outrageous story, but it is not a bad movie. Some people like it best. I would recommend keeping with the franchise and provide us your wonderful reactions on the four movies. I enjoy them a lot.
