DQOTD: I actually recently came across a little fan theory that wondered if perhaps the monsters are trying to be friendly but they don’t recognise that they harm you. Someone suggested that the bracken is just really shy and wants to make friends and when the bracken grabs you it’s trying to hug you but it doesn’t realise it’s own strength and it drags away the bodies because it doesn’t want to scare the others. This actually also spread to the thumper with a person suggesting that the thumper is similar to a really excited dog who wants to play and bites you because it’s just really happy to have someone to play with but it doesn’t realise that it’s biting hurts you and it chases you thinking that you’re also playing and honestly I cried

I think the bracken wants to be your friend, but is really shy. When you look at him, it scares him off, but if you stare at him for to long, he works up the confidence to give you a hug. The problem is, he doesn't realize his own strength, and his hugs usually ends up killing people

I feel that! I don't do minecraft a lot nowadays but when I do it's mostly passion projects that change the game into it want it to be. That or just BS podcast style videos with MC in the background. I got a whole variety of content nowadays though so I hope you find some you enjoy!

Yeah I think the braken is trying to have a sleepover and hugs the player at the height and strength where they breaks their neck whoopies doopies then brings them to their room where they fall asleep super fast, they wait anxiously finding the perfect time to invite the player but gets scared every time you glance at them and direct eye contact means you want to talk to them and he gets excited and gives a big hug or eye contact is super threatening and scary which is relatable

lmao for dougs question yeah i do, and i was animatedly defending him to my brother one time we were playing (and probably really annoying him tbh) and followed him into the main entrance. the second i do so the turret that sensed my brother fires straight at me entering the door and cut me off mid sentence. was honestly really funny, saved my brother from having to put up with me
