Great quality of video. Well put together with sound knowledge. Excellent, thank you. She is a strong runner and a woman we can genuinely expect (even without carbon shoes) to run under 2:15:25 in London at the Marathon. Tomorrow, its Gideys debut, yet it'll only be an extension of her previous performances if she breaks the Marathon WR in Valencia.

The shoes definitely played a big factor in speed, but to say he didn't have a chance is an exaggeration, people have been doing ultramarathon distances long before all the cushioning technology came about.

The best runner I have seen before!! She is my inspiration.

Sifan Hasson's victory in that 10000 meter race was one of the greatest races ever run. Her last mile was 4:17. Letesenbet ran the last mile in 4:23. The world record in the mile is 4:12.

Helen Obiri does deserve recognition for her journey, however I wanted to keep the focus of this story on Gidey and Hassan. I’m not sure I could have woven a entire third narrative into this video while still keeping everything relevant and flowing at a good pace. I think she would need her own video.

Some people use the word “strength” in a broad context not necessarily relating to how much they can lift. For example some people might say “that person is a strong runner”. Especially given the context that English isn’t his first language.
