Superb performance, both in artistry and technique - one of your best IMHO. Wherever he is now, Handel is smiling listening to this :) And you were very gracious replying to that ridiculous 'silly faces' comment. You sing with very appropriate expression, and have far more restraint than many of the most accomplished/famous singers, so please just ignore that comment and keep your wonderful performance style.

Thank you, this is also one of the performances I am most happy with. And I have also seen some of those singers, and I don't think I will ever play it out like that, it doesn't feel very natural to me :)

How anyone could say that this is anything less than exquisite and majestic is beyond me. The control and maturity and the richness leaves me speechless. I'm only sad I heard this voice for the first time yesterday! What a star and, after watching some interviews, what a fantastic young man all around.

Aksel, when I was taking holiday in UK, my mum's origin, I encountered two chaps who loved to ski and they hailed from Norway. Many the invitations they and their grandmother extended to come visit. Were I to ski I'd hit a tree. Were I to visit Gayorg and his brother and family I'll respectfully make a visit to that church (not cathedral) and as always you made "Samson" strong again. Congratulations and Bravo! Thank you!

Yes! well, my phone now has Vien con nuova orribil guerra played 230 times, and similar numbers for other of your performances. I don't know if that's normal LOL I will say I particularly love this orchestra. There is more than music being played between the notes: there is liveliness, excitement, vitality. You can see it in the performers' expressions, and hear it in the music.

And "Let the bright Seraphim" from Nov 2016 and "Alleluia (Exsultate, Jubilate)" from Dec 2016 both played 190 times. Crikey! as I go through the list, the others have similar numbers... Mark is clearly a master trumpeter. And, I do love the brass. However, for optimal harmony, I much prefer voice with woodwinds (in this case "Judith with the oboe") It is pure harmony of expression. I know this is not in the treble rep, but could it be? It is such a wonderful piece which you could bring your magic to. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZ9ous1-nba7gNY.html

What was wrong with Aksel's breath support? It is true that his breaths between phrases are audible on this recording, but he was closely mic'ed. I heard him live three times (including this very performance!) and he had no problems with intrusive breathing or with projection, which suggests his breathing technique was sound.

What on earth are you talking about? He does not make "silly faces" - he's concentrating on the music, the intervals, breathing - and singing. If you knew anything about music, you'd understand. What a daft comment!
